Welcome to Clocking Out! Time to disconnect from regular life and step into the salt air. PET FRIENDLY and full of charm! This 4BR, 2BA home has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the ocean air. Head up to the front porch where you'll enjoy beautiful sunsets and a cool breeze.
As soon as you open the front door, you'll be greeted by an open concept living space, recently updated kitchen, lots of seating and breathtaking views of the ocean. Enjoy your coffee and the sunrise on the back, covered deck, while you listen to the waves crash and watch the dolphins splash. Sheltered from the sun with additional seating, charcoal grill, corn hole and tons of space make the lower level the perfect place to relax, play and listen to the crash of the waves. The full size washer/dryer is also on this level in a storage area. That storage space is protected from the elements and you are welcome to use our beachy fun gear like skim boards, boogie boards, discs for golf, beach chairs and fishing equipment.
The primary bedroom (queen) has a view of the ocean and a private en suite with shower. Three guest bedrooms share access to the main bathroom. The large guest room has a queen size bed. The small bedroom has a twin day bed with twin pull out trundle. The bunk room has four twin (bunk) beds. And if you need to spread out just a bit more, there is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The living room and every bedroom have smart TVs.
Heading to the beach? You are less than 61 paces from dipping your toes in the sand! Enjoy the awesome Surf City waves, wide beach, shore fishing and shell collecting. The house also has a full sized, covered, outdoor shower to rinse off when your beach day is done.
When you're not at the beach, please enjoy the books, board games and puzzles provided. This location is so close to everything! A public playground is two blocks away. The Surf City Pier is two miles away. Just minutes from the Surf City town center and just blocks from local bars, restaurants and the arcade. Don't forget about golfing - there is a local public golf course, disc golf course and mini-golf nearby. SO much to do!

This house met all of our needs for the wee and more. The owner was wonderful to work with. She was very quick to respond and truly thinks of all of the small details. The house was clean when we arrived. It was so nice having linens provided! In addition, they have all of your beach needs covered- from chairs to boogie boards, etc. The outdoor shower was great! The guys found it was easier to shower outside to cut down on time after a long day at the beach. We loved having coffee on the back deck every morning - there was always a great breeze! The beach access does have stairs for those who have elderly travelers or those with specific needs. All of the beds were comfortable! In addition, the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed! The living room shelves were stocked with books and games. Great location - would definitely recommend!

Sitting on the porch you can see and hear the ocean. The beach access is very close and the beach is wide. Great boogie boarding during high tide and love the sandbar at low tide. We were impressed with how well the house was stocked with all the extra things you need like beach chairs, umbrella, toys, boards, soaps, plastic wrap etc. Every bed & furniture was comfortable. We had a few questions and the owner was incredibly fast and helpful. The house is in a great location, close to shopping and food. Definitely try out Shaka Taco and Topsail Steamer! This was a great fit for our 2 families of 4 (8 total people). Thank you!

We enjoyed a delightful stay at “Clocked Out”.There was plenty of space for all to relax comfortably.The location was great with a very short walk and easy access to the beach and a nice view of the ocean from the back porch and bedroom.Our sweet doggies are family and were so happy to stay with us! …a deciding factor for booking for us. The outdoor shower with hot water was definitely a plus. The cleaning crew could have been a bit more thorough, but nothing we couldn’t remedy fairly quickly ourselves. A mirror in each of the middle bedrooms would be nice. We will definitely consider coming back and highly recommend it.

Our vacation wouldn't have been complete without having a beautiful house to stay in near the beach, and we were not disappointed. Amazing countertops, spacious rooms, quiet and friendly neighbors, and a washer/dryer made everything feel perfect. The fishing poles and boogey boards in the storage room was the icing on the cake. We will definitely try to rebook this house again. Thank you to our hosts!!

Waking up to sound of the ocean, seeing the Sun rise from the Atlantic is how each day was for us. Close enough for us to have our Marine son stay with us during his liberty, yet far enough to give him rest from the post. A well laid out house with access to the beach, restaurants, and stores.

The house itself was clean and well stocked. The location was as good as it gets without actually being on the beach. Very short walk to the shore. Owners were fantastic at getting back to us in a timely manner when we had a question. I definitely recommend this house!

Had an amazing stay at this property in Surf City! Property was clean, had an easy check in, fantastic communication with the host and had everything wee needed at the property. Would highly recommend staying here and it was contactless check in so easy and quick as it gets. Plenty of room for a family and being so close to the beach, we had a fantastic time!

This is our third year staying at Clocking Out. We stay untroubled and never want for anything. The kitchen has everything you need. The back deck is lovely for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The front porch is our spot for sunset or storm watching. The house is large and updated for a comfortable stay. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms make for flexible accommodations. Access to the beach is easy and convenient. It truly is just steps away! Under the house is nicely set up for outdoor dining and games. Katie is an exceptional host with the thought of her guests contentment at the forefront. I bet you’ll love Clocking Out as much as we do!

You can tell the owners really care about the property. The house was very close to the beach, had enough space and was very clean! The only "downsides" (which we managed through just fine) were that the property did not provide beach towels and the laundry was downstairs in the storage area. But, overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Katie! She is extremely responsive, the house was exactly as described. All appliances, HVAC, electrical and plumbing worked. This is important to note as sometimes properties aren’t well maintained. Clocking Out is perfect! We made wonderful family memories! We will definitely be Clocking Out and renting again in the future! Thank you thank you!!

We really enjoyed this property. Kelly was very responsive, and even went out of her way to help us get an early check in. The property was extremely clean when we arrived, which we truly appreciated, all linens were provided and ready to go when we arrived. The home has all the comforts you need for your stay. We enjoy cooking and this kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We loved the updated look of the home, and it is very comfortably furnished. The home is situated within a few hundred feet of the public access to the beach and was a nice quick walk, so that coming back for meals and bathroom breaks was easy peasy. We will definitely be staying at this property again. Loved it!

Plenty of room for everyone and the owner was very helpful and responsive. The weather wasn’t looking good for most of our stay so she offered to let us come earlier to enjoy the good days. Very close to the beach with easy access.

Fantastic house for us -- two families with elementary-school-aged kiddos. Kids had fun sleepovers in the bunk and trundle rooms. Adults had the larger rooms. Well-stocked (and well-labeled!) kitchen. Plenty of beach chairs, ocean toys, outdoor games, indoor games, beach books and kid books, etc. Outdoor shower for the sandy kids. The house is on the second row, but feels almost like an oceanfront - a walk across an empty lot to the beach access. This made it easy to send kids back and forth without a chaperone. I've been going to Topsail since the 70's -- never disappoints -- we would happily stay here again!

Clocking Out is updated, and comfortable, with plenty of seating, and the kitchen has everything from cutlery to small appliances. There is public beach access across the street, which is just a short walk and quite convenient. The hosts are fantastic and incredibly responsive. They even let us know about a sea turtle release that was happening while we were there. I am so glad we did not miss out on that! Look no further if you want to stay in a quiet home with an ocean view! Clocking Out is a great place to stay.

This house fit our needs really well! We stayed with our 5yr old and my husband's parents for a long weekend. The rooms were clean, had clean linens ready for us. There was plenty of room for us to stretch out during downtime from the beach. Kitchen is beautifully updated, clean and really well labeled! All of the pots, pans, utensils that we needed (we brought food, spices, paper goods). The carport is a huge, covered area with good wind protection on those super windy days. The public beach access was a quick walk on a path from the lefthand corner of the backyard, straight to the steps. Easy access, not a bad walk (one family member has some mobility issues and did fine!). Our 5yr old borrowed the boogey board from the house and loved getting to try something new in the ocean! Our 2 large pups came with us, and we spent a lot of time sitting on the back deck getting breeze. Highly recommend this house and the owner was very responsive and friendly!

Found this listing last year and stayed for the first time. Came back again this year and look forward to future stays. We love the location and all the amenities the home provides. The kitchen and flooring have been updated making a great home even better. Katie is a lovely host and we are so thankful she opens her home to share. We would highly recommend staying here!

This house was the perfect location and had everything we needed. The owners were so responsive, friendly, and accommodating and we even scored an early check-in which felt like a bonus beach day. It worked out because it basically monsooned our last day. Next time I’d love to see a pitcher (for making sangria! ;)) and some upgraded outdoor furniture, which we spent sooo much time using last week.

We could not be happier with our experience at this beach property! The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay! The house was very clean, the second story covered balcony was perfect for our morning coffee time, and offered a perfect place for enjoying the ocean breeze. It is a very short walk to the beach and very convenient to grocery stores. The covered parking space on the lower level was algo great! We would highly recommend this house to couples or to larger families, as there are two full baths and three bedrooms. We will definitely go back to this well loved property.
