We had a great second vacation with our kids to Scott’s property! The house is cozy but also had plenty of space for our 4 adults and 3 kids (3, 5, and 7). The kids especially liked how far you could wade out without needing to know how to swim well. We really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. The sunset over the water is so special - as is the fact that one whole side of the property is undeveloped. It was a fun and memorable trip!

Stayed here for 4 nights with my family (2 small kids - 3 and 5 years old) and dog, we had an amazing time. Waterfront property was excellent and bedrooms/bathrooms were perfect for the family. Would recommend for anyone staying with a family/small kids.

Peaceful and quiet location. It takes a while to get to the house from the main highway. The views of the lake and sunsets are amazing. The house is equipped well, inside and out and very clean inside. I wish there was a little more upkeep of the outside of the house as it was covered with tiny bugs. I also wish the entrance to the lake was less rocky and cleaner. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the owner was very responsive.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home was clean and had all the amendities that one would need to spend vacation time. There is a beautiful view of the lake with shore access. Great area for having a campfire. Would recommend this property to anyone.

The property was just as described in the listing - beautiful waterfront location, semi-private lot, plenty of on-site entertainment for our group (kayaks, paddle board, corn hole, etc). This was an ideal gathering place for 8 adults. Plenty of space, inside and out to sit together for waterfront morning coffee and evening cocktails by the fire pit. House has well-equipped kitchen. We would absolutely rent this house again for future reunions.

House was nice, check in was easy. The house is as advertised on the lake. The kayaks were a lot of fun. They are not kidding about the firewood.... there is a LOT there.

We had a wonderful time at Peaceful Shores. The only complaint I have is there really isn’t a beach. There are rocks where I thought would be sand.
The positives far outweighed the negatives. Beautiful view of the Bay. Kids loved the paddle board. We would definately rent again.

A work delivery brought us to the area, so we decided to take the family & make a short trip out of it. The location was quiet, safe & along a beautiful strip of sandy beach cottages. The hosts provided excellent communication. The home itself has an ideal layout, not to mention GORGEOUS Bay windows facing West! The sunset was spectacular & the swimming was nothing short of therapeutic for all of us. Looking forward to coming back!!

We absolutely loved it here!! We had 7 people, the house felt very spacious. There wasn’t anything we needed to go get, other than our own food and snacks, very well stocked! Our favorite part was, of course, the lake and the views!! A little sad there wasn’t more sand, but it didn’t stop my teenagers. The kayaks and paddle board were a huge hit!! For sure remember your swim shoes! Scott was great at communication too!! Thanks for a great trip! I was already trying to figure out when to go again!

House for a family of 8 was perfect. Lots of open living space to congregate in. A fully stocked kitchen was very nice.
Views of the water were stunning. Plenty of bird watching to be had.
Lots of onsite activities to keep you occupied.
We drove to the Washington island ferry which was 1 hr 20 minutes so the location was a great home base.
The check in and checkout was very easy.

The property was a last minute booking for a Thanskgiving weekend stay with our adult children. The house was super clean, bed sheets were so white they looked brand new. Even though it was a pet-friendly rental, there was zero evidence that any pets had ever stayed there... not even a faint scent of pets or a stray dog hair. Lots of games to choose from. The location was great... lots of privacy and a spectacular view. Communication with the host was oustanding. Would definitelty choose this location again!

We had a wonderful time on a family getaway. The property had everything we could have wanted. We loved having access to a beach and boats right out the back door. The yard was perfect for afternoon reading and resting! We used the well-stocked kitchen to its fullest and were in need of nothing!
When we asked for a later check-out, Steve was super flexible, which was so appreciated. We are already talking about coming back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The location was great - part of a cozy cove but on the edge of the other homes so there was plenty of privacy. The sunset from the porch area was breath taking. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for family meals and was spotless throughout. The beach was a bit rocky going in (so bring water shoes) but it was a long sandy area after the shore line that our kids (ages 6, 4, and 2) thoroughly enjoyed. The grown ups enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board too. Overall a great value and great stay!

Our stay was great. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and my 70th birthday while we were in Door County. We honeymooned in Door County and we wanted to take our kids and grandchildren here to show them how great Door County is. The cabin was great and clean inside. The outside could have been taken care of better. It was difficult getting the paddle boat and kayak s down to the water where there wasn’t so many rocks. We managed but the shoreline could have been neater. The view from the cabin was spectacular, and the sunset was amazing. The description was a bit misleading on the beach area. Overall our stay was great. I think some improvements to the shoreline and and better launching area for the paddle boat and kayaks would be a better selling point for this cabin. Appearance is everything.

We had a good stay while attending our daughter's wedding in Sturgeon Bay. Although there was more rain than we expected for August, the thunderstorms were spectacular to watch over the water and Scott was great about checking on us after the power outage.

Property was the perfect getaway! Loved being right on the water. Fun water toys and lawn games. House was comfortable with beautiful views from kitchen and table. It was also well stocked with most of the necessities! Scott was very responsive to any questions about property and general area (our first time in Door County). Would definitely recommend!

House was clean and beautifully set up for a group. Plenty of room in the kitchen for prep and easy eating space at the island and the dining table. The outdoor space was what made this house so special- right on the water with a fire pit, plenty of furniture and yard games galore. Location was perfect- close to Sturgeon Bay but on a quiet secluded street with little traffic. Would highly recommend for future visits.

What a view! This was a perfect place to stay in Door County! We spent much time outside having fires and using the paddle boat. Inside was so nice and updated! There was everything there that you could need to cook, etc. Scott was a fantastic host!

We enjoyed a great weekend for our family get-together. The main reason for our visit to Door County was for some people in our group to go to the Packers Game but we also wanted to be somewhere to enjoy the scenery. We were very comfortable in the house and it worked well for the two kids/babies as well, being all on one level. We took a few trips into Sturgeon Bay to enjoy the breweries, restaurants, and shops. Even in winter, there was a lot open.

Not fancy but nice. Lovely views. Would be ideal with children in summer as beach is right there. Could use better quality pillows etc. Only real negative is distance from most attractions and restaurants further up in peninsula. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great property. Great communication with owner. The four bedrooms and two bathrooms were a bonus and worked really well for our group. One bedroom's mattress was not good, but other than that, the place was very comfortable and had room to spread out. If you want to go beyond Sturgeon Bay, quite a bit of driving is required back and forth to the other communities, but we made it work. And it was a great place to come back to at the end of the day.

I've stayed at a few places in Door County and Scott's property by far has the best outdoor space & view. The backyard has a couple of different seating areas, a yard with grass (great for the dogs, with a dog run too!), a fire pit area, BBQ area- all over looking peaceful Sand Bay. There are no neighbors on one side so it felt really private. We spent almost all of our time outside watching the beautiful sunsets, building fires and grilling. Inside, I loved how the kitchen & living room were set up- big windows overlooking the lake, and a huge sectional couch in the living room meant that we could all comfortably fit to watch movies. The place was super clean and well stocked- extra towels in the cupboards and a good assortment of pots, pans and cooking utensils. It was also really accessible- my mom has a wheelchair and walker and she was able to fit down hallways and through doorways with no problem. There are 3 small steps off the back porch landing to get down to the yard- but luckily there are railings! A really thoughtful & helpful addition and my mom used those to get down no problem. Our family really loved Peaceful Shores property and we hope to come back in the future!

Everything about this rental was outstanding. Scott was super communicative and welcome to feedback. The property was well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. It was my first lake house experience with family who've done the lake house before but this even better than their other experiences! The private shoreline and lake view was wonderful to wake up to everyday. The fire pit, kayaks, paddle boat were perfect for a variety of ages. And the location couldn't have been better! On a dead end street away from everything but not too far from town! Would highly recommend and who knows, maybe even book again! Thanks again to Scott and his family for sharing this wonderful home

This property was exactly as described. Plenty of room for 6 adults. We played indoor/outdoor games. Sat quietly and watched the waves crash over the rocks while enjoying the sunset. I definitely recommend bringing water shoes, rocks were very slippery so a little challenge getting equipment to water but still able to enjoy the paddle board and kayaks. Scott was quick to respond to any and all questions! A memorable trip for all.

Stayed at this property in July and the water was warm enough to enjoy. The home was very clean and kitchen well stocked with dishes, comfortable beds. There are neighbors on only one side of the property so very quiet and peaceful. Owners were very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this property.
