The room was very nice and cosy. Air-conditioning was working excellently. I was able to heat all the room without the problem. The kitchen with annexe was very good. Great location.
The water from the toilet was leaking.... It was disgusting and smelly.... And cover almost all the floor. I was for a short time so I haven't reported it. No ventilation so it was full of steam very quickly and everything was wet inside. As described by the owner toilet is out of the room. Apart from these little details, it was very nice. :) And definitely great value for money.

The location was quiet and was pretty much only locals, there were buses to the centre or you could walk to Alfama in 30 mins (I chose the latter.)
The owner was really nice, so this is not a negative review on him at all. Whenever there was an issue he would sort it promptly.
The room and bathroom were nicely decorated
The walls were paper thin, so you could hear everything from the adjacent rooms and the corridor.
The ad does not say that the bathroom, although private, is outside of the room. If I had known that, I wouldn't have booked. I felt very disappointed at that.
If you would like a more social environment to stay in, then that should be fine for you... I personally did not want that!

The hostel located near 10 minutes drive on Uber / Bolt to the city center. Our Deluxe room was good & clean, with own private bathroom inside the room & air condition. The owner Joao was very responsive and always tried to help. The restaurant downstairs was great & with reasonable pricing, felt in love with their Bitoque.
The main stairs in the hostel needs some renovation, the surroundings nearby are not really pleasant for walking around

The host was super kind, helpful and friendly. He gave us advice about the city, public transport and touristic attractions. He was flexible about the checkout time. Both the bathroom and room were clean.

I love the fact that each room had its private bathroom for a competitive price. the owner was available. It was very clean. Small size. I felt safe (travelling alone)

In the given price, it was a nice room. Initially it was cold but later we asked for the heater and the host gave us that. After that it was really comfortable. Host was very nice and cooperative. Also, room is far from the city centre but it is easily accessible by the public transport.
In the apartment there was a very bad smell. I think it was of the cleaning liquid but it was really unpleasant. Often I had to stop my breath from the nose to avoid vomiting. However, inside the room, there was no such smell but outside the room, it was everywhere inside the apartment.

The room was dirty and doorknob was broken. It was really cold because there was no heater in the room.

I liked the place it has an excellent host. He was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. I'm satisfied with the facilities the place offered and how close to the shops if you can handle the uphill downhill roads. I will definitely come back in the future.
There was a guy who sat in the kitchen from 10am till 2pm with his laptop and it was very awkward but I still managed to boil the water and do things I needed to it was a shared kitchen not a private room.

No paper in the toilets

The owner is very helpful and nice, no problem with late check in and storing baggage, easy to approach, the room was spacy, comfortable bed, close to the airport and bus stop
The bathroom smelled, quite noisy (thin doors)

There's a lot of great things attached to our stay in Conventus, but the top was the staff. João (the host) was extraordinary: super friendly, putting us at ease, helping with everything he could and providing all the comfort the facilities could itself. Speaking of the facilities, the room was exactly the one we reserved, matching the pics on Booking.com, the description accurate, super spacious, airy, great light, tidy and clean, also providing good storage for your luggage. We fell in love with the vintage décor! Another gem: the bed was super comfortable! The other areas in the facilities, such as bathrooms, kitchen and corridor were also tidy and clean. The kitchen was super functional and we could use fridges/freezers, stove, microwave, kettle and washing machine if we wanted. Besides storing in the cupboards we found cutlery and dishware. Absolutely great value for money and 10/ minutes (depending where you want to go) away from the city centre by bus! But wait, the hospitality experience doesn't end here! Downstairs you will find an outstanding restaurant open on weekends and perhaps on special occasions upon request - you must check its availability for a group booking. Starting from the decor, through the warmth of the staff, the delicious gastronomy, and affordable prices, OMG! What an experience! With Sr João (host, waiter, bartender, everything!) and Sr Victor (chef),trust me, you couldn't be in better hands. Pssssst: their espresso is delicious!😊
We booked at Conventus to celebrate a special occasion (2 actually), and it was with a heavy heart we had to accept this amazing experience had to come to an end. Definitely next time we come, we will also be celebrating our first stay at Conventus! Obrigada por tudo João e até breve! 😊💙🤘🏼

Nothing.
It is not near train station. On the balcony "with the view" are maneqins - scary.
The stairs are awful, stincky and you can smell mold in the air.
There are holes in every door that you can see through. The kitchen doesnt even have a door.
The bathroom is stincky, unclean and moldy.
Bed is uncomfortable, room is very small.
Kitchen is discousting. all the appliances should be trown out. they are unhelathy and moldy - not clean.
on the hall there are some car fragrance to cover the bad smell of mold.
we didnt even pay the tourist tax, because there was no one to tell us how to check out. We reach the guy via whatsapp but he didnt really care.
Bad. Dont recomend.

1. Place is not far off the Lisbon center.
2. Inexpensive compared to other places.
3. Bed room was ok, with big windows -which we opened it all thru the night to avoid unpleasant smell coming from the common area.
1. Bathroom and the common area stinks a lot. We cannot tolerate the smells (coming from the fungus) inside the bathroom. There were sign of silicon paste applied on the gap, where there could be fungus growth.
2. parking is minimum 150 m away. you need to search every day for parking, it is a very busy place. As the road is one way, you can't stop your car to off load your luggage from your vehicle.

It was okay for its price - the kitchen had coffee, everything worked in the room, and there is a bus stop nearby. The host was very friendly.
The smell in the flat - the fragrance is exaggerated. There was no proper soap, the bathroom was just rather unpleasant. The neighbourhood is in general not very beautiful.

All was OK.
It was too hot to sleep. It would be great to have a conditioner.

Clean rooms, very friendly host, good infrastructure.
Staircase smelled bad, too much fragrance inside the appartment

The host is really friendly and speaks very good English.
Also the hostel has their own restaurant with good food.
Hot/cold water didn’t work properly in the shower, randomly turns really cold and the next moment really hot.

Nothing
Smelly building and room, dirty toilets with clogged sink hole.

The hospitality of the host was impeccable, the owner/host of the property as humble as a human can get, especially his vast knowledge about about Portugal and information about just anything in general. Best part is that he run his own restaurant at the ground floor, food is delicious and again, I’ll have to mention this one more time - he know what he’s doing whether it’s renting the room or proving food. Totally and 200% recommended to anyone who’s planning to visit Lisbon Portugal.
Nothing 🙂

Very good host. Helped us with the luggage and told about the places to visit and how to get there more efficiently.
There wasn’t any air conditioning and there were 36 degrees outside. It would be better if the room and toilets were cleaner.
3.6
Good value and a much better choice for me than the other, more expensive options.
You could hear other guests coming and going, but if I sleep at times most people sleep, it's not a big problem.
3.6
terrible hostel, dirty, mold in the bathroom, flies and ants in the kitchen. the room was not cleaned, under the bed a layer of dust as thick as a finger. dirty bed linen and towels. NO HOT WATER!
3.6
Location was close to a bus station that takes you to the center, very friendly staff, nice place, i would recommend it :)

Nice old rustic building in old part of town a short uber ride from the town centre. Friendly, helpful host. The room was clean and the was bed comfortable. The communal kitchen seemed to have most things, iincliding basic cooking ingredients although we didn't get time to use it much.
Not enough pillows. A little noisy at times.
