Book your one-of-a-kind private home WITH A DOCK on a deep water canal at an unbeatable price!
The Water's Edge is a charming two bedroom, one-and-a-half bath single family home nestled in south Bradenton's Bayshore Gardens neighborhood. It's the perfect spot for vacationers who want to spend lots of time exploring by boat, or for those who want easy, convenient access to everything the Sarasota/Bradenton area has to offer, from world-famous beaches on four nearby barrier islands, to a wide selection of performing and visual arts and everything in between. You can easily do it ALL from here!
Starting inside the house, you'll enjoy the fully updated kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar and dining area that seats four. The living room is comfortably furnished for watching movies or enjoying conversation with the family. Off to the side, a sun porch is a great spot to read, and features a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests.
One of the greatest things about ground floor living is how easy it is to enjoy your home! Just down the hall from the living area you'll find a spacious master bedroom with its own sitting area and a king bed. The guest bedroom, down the same hallway, has two twin beds. Both bedrooms offer guests their own televisions. The shared full bath has a combination tub and shower, with a half bath off the laundry area for those times when one bathroom just isn't enough!
And the comfortable living extends to the outside as well! The large breezeway isn't intended for vehicles, but is a great place to set up corn hole and other games. Across the carport from the kitchen you'll find the laundry room and that half bath. And at the back of the carport is a screened patio, complete with a ping-pong table, as well as a dining table that can seat six.
From the screened patio, make your way out to the back yard, where you can catch some rays and enjoy the sights and sounds of boats and birds on the canal. Sunrises are a treat from this vantage point! This is also a great place for the anglers in the family to set up shop. Catch dinner from the dock, and then prep it at the fish cleaning station!
Although the boat lift is not available for guest use, the rest of the sizeable dock is the perfect spot to tie up your boat so you'll be ready to spend your days on the water. If you bring your own boat, you can launch it nearby and keep the trailer in the driveway. Don't have your own boat? Not to worry! You can rent one nearby, because with access like this, you'll want to spend at least part of your vacation exploring the area by water. With deep water access, you can travel from your dock through the calm waters of Sarasota Bay and even out to the Gulf of Mexico! Why not visit the famous beaches of Longboat Key and Anna Maria by boat, rather than dealing with traffic! This area is also known as a kayak haven - you're only 8 houses from the bay and close to many sandbars and natural mangrove tunnels.
When you're ready to explore the area, you'll find excellent options in every direction, including fresh seafood from amazing restaurants accessible by land or sea. Dining by boat? Try Mar Vista at the north end of Longboat Key, and Tide Tables or the Swordfish Grill in Cortez. For days of enjoyment at the beach, Indian Beach Park has an observation deck, and is less than 5 miles away. The beaches of Anna Maria Island are about 20 minutes away by land or boat (depending on traffic, of course!). IMG Academy is a short 10 minute drive and less than 4 miles away. This is a rare, affordable find with a prime location within a short drive to just about everything you might want to do on your vacation!
There is a community park on the next block over on 26th street. It is called Bayshore Gardens Park and Recreational District. You can swim in the Olympic-sized swimming pool and enjoy the deck/patio area for a fee. There is a playground, basketball court, ball field, pavilions with BBQ grills, and a fishing pier with a cleaning station all free to use. You can also rent a slip at the marina or reserve the recreational hall for events.
Sleeps 4 to 6 people in one king, two twins, and one queen sleeper sofa.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. The boat lift is NOT available for guest use. However, the rest of the large dock is available for you to tie up your boat!
2. The owners ask that guests not park in the carport, as it ruins the finish on the floor. There is, however, plenty of parking available in the driveway. Additionally, trailers are welcome in the driveway!
3. If you're bringing your dog (pet fee will apply), they must be leashed when outside. All pet waste must be removed from property prior to departure.
*PET OWNERS: This property is dog friendly for one dog with a maximum weight of 30 pounds and a non-refundable pet fee of $150 for the first week. There is a $50 fee per week for any additional weeks booked. Also, certain breeds are excluded. We had a great stay. The home was cool and inviting as we arrived with the AC running and TV's on. All the information was accurate and the dining and entertainment suggestions very helpful.
We brought our 20ft bow-rider and loved being able to use the dock. It made getting out into the gulf super easy and fun. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property manager was amazing and so fast to respond when we had questions!

We loved staying here! Beautiful home with an amazing screened in patio and outdoor back deck! We all loved the ping pong table and played games daily. The patio has 2 celing fans with an additional plug in fan available, but could use 1 more in this Florida heat. Opening the automatic garage door during day hours helps the air flow tremendously. Home was very clean inside and out, AC systems worked great and the bed pillows were amazing! Appliances all worked great, as well as the washer and dryer. Other than an air fryer, home is equipped with all the dishes, utensils, and pots and pans you would need. The grill provided was more of a single person size so you may want to bring yours along. Overall great stay and would definitely go back!

We come annually for a guys week of fishing.
This suited us wonderfully.
The proximity to the gulf was very easy access and the food stores were very close as well.
Thank you very much!!!

We are a boat family and loved the location of marina and dock!!

Great For Boating and Trailer Parking Included.
Family of 5 enjoyed this property for it’s proximity to the Gulf by boat and for it’s space to chill after a long day in the sun.
We brought our 20ft bay boat and easily fit the trailer in the driveway with our truck and room for one more vehicle.
We used innovation marina (trailer estates, a few blocks away) to drop the boat in and Don Roehr public ramps in Sarasota to haul out.
If you are over 6ft tall you will have trouble with ceiling fan heights at this property. Other than that, we enjoyed the amenities.
Keys and Beaches are also very easy to get to by land.

Very nice and quiet
The property is quaintly decorated. Very clean, it did have an older closed up home odor, but nothing that candles, and air freshener could not handle. My husband and I enjoyed the outdoor sitting area every morning drinking coffee. My only complaint would be to receive notification when yard maintenance is coming. Otherwise the stay was awesome, we would stay again.

Don,t go here
The house smelled so badly it stopped us in our tracks. We tried to air out but no avail. Airplane went right over the house. Not a good time

Very quiet neighborhood! Clean home and a positive vacation experience!
Clean. Nicely decorated! Recommend this home as long as you don’t mind the distance to the beach
GREAT for writers, artists etc. relaxation and peace sums it up!

Amazing property
Our family had a great time. The amenities were on point. Unfortunately we tore the out drive off our boat on an unmarked crab trap in the canal to the property. I would just give others a heads up when bring their boats.

Beach House Stay
This house was very nice. Great location, quiet area, and close to restaurants and beaches. We would stay there again.

Nice House with plenty of room
Property is well kept and nice to be on the water. A couple ceiling fans and half bath are a hazard if you are over 6 foot tall. Internet was fast as me and my son both logged in to work and class without any issues. The TV was a little difficult to work but we eventually figured it out. The breezeway was very nice with the garage door open. It is near the airport, but with the air conditioner running, I was not bothered by the noise. Overall, a nice place to stay. It's 10 miles from Anna Maria island and beaches and close to town. Much less expensive that staying on the island.

We arrived Monday just prior to dusk. First impressions of the rental were great. But upon opening the front door we were smacked right in the face with a hideous stench. It came real close to being what I'd call toxic. We opened the place up to air out and went to the store after deodorizers. The worst came later when we went to bed, all the linens and pillows were inundated with the stench. By midnight I'd already decided we needed to vacate in the morning. And at 1:30 my wife said to me for the third time since going to bed, "this place stinks." Before giving up altogether I called Justin who had handled our arrangements and he sent over two women to clean up a bit and launder some of the linens. It helped and we decided to stick it out. The next morning I went looking for the cause and it seemed to be emanating from a locked closet in the garage. By Saturday after four days of airing out with the windows open, the living area seemed to be good but the garage and screened area still stunk. I texted Justin numerous times but never heard back from him. We left this morning and just a few minutes ago my wife brought her hanging clothes in for me to smell, they were inundated with the stench from that house. If it weren't for the nauseating odor and also the filthy tile that kept my bare feet black I'd say the place was great but that's just not the case. We'd actually like to return if the place was clean and odorless. Also, I fish and this place was advertised as having an outside cleaning station, there was no hose or water and the table was literally two foot tall; can't say I've ever seen another like it. The master bedroom is more of a sleeping porch and is quite noisy with the house's proximity to the city and International Airport. It's also quite bright in the morning so bring your nose plugs, ear plugs and sleeping mask.

Spacious and Relaxing
My family and I enjoyed our stay here over the long weekend. My father-in-law spent the majority of the time fishing in the backyard (which was perfect for him!) and kitchen was spacious enough for my mother-in-law and I to cook together and not be in each other’s way :). We also loved the size of the garage/porch and despite the heat, managed to hang out there a bit as well!
The only parts that we didn’t like from our stay was the cleanliness of the floor and the dust buildup on the vent in the bathroom. The buttons to choose ice/water on the refrigerator was broken but we figured out how to get the ice from the icemaker and place it into a bin in the freezer. Not a vacation ruiner though!
Overall, the place was great and would be willing to stay again!

Home
It is a good place. The only problem that I had was, when I pay for the house I got a massage that those days were taken. To my surprise I got an email later saying that everything went through.

Paradise
Very clean, comfortable house. It was tastefully decorated and had everything you need. We did not use a boat but would have been very nice to visit the islands. Nothing for teens to walk to but fishing in the canal very was fun when we were not exploring the beaches and snorkeling(try tower 5 around the rocks past the jetty) . Island Pearl Excursions sand bar tour was amazing too! We swam near manatee on Beer Can Island! If you love water and nature you want regret it.

Nicely setup getaway destination
The house as well appointed and decorated beautifully. The back deck and boat dock were my highlights. Waters Edge is the perfect little getaway and at a good location. We will be staying there again soon hopefully. The communication with the property manager went smoothly. All of our questions and requests were always addressed immediately.

Water's Edge
Great location for economical cost - close to beaches and multitudes of restaurants in the area. Boat owners would love this place with the private boat dock. Neighbors are kind and helpful. I highly recommend this location for a couple or small family. Loved it. Mary and John

Ideal hideaway
The house is very clean and well appointed. The outdoor space is lovely. We particularly enjoyed being able to let our little dog nose around the back as the area is well contained with fencing and walls. The street is a cul-de-sac, no through traffic. The neighborhood is quiet and very well-kept. The neighbors were friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much !

WE ENJOY OUR STAY
We arrived late Friday but it was an easy way in and all instructions were easy to follow. The house was extremely clean and beautiful. It was nicely decorated and the view in the back was relaxing. We enjoy the time in this property. We book this property to get away for a couple of days and we are happy that we selected this property. The only complain is that we tried to contact the property manager for a late check out and we never got a call back. The remote controls batteries for the TV's had to be replaced as they were all non operational. To is little things but the overall experience was great and we accomplished our goal to have some much needed rest.

Perfect Location
This home is centrally located. Quick drive to St Armands Circle, Long Boat Key and Anna Maria Island. Lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. We launched our boat about 10 minutes away at Centennial Park and it was so convenient keeping it in the canal right at the house with easy access to Sarasota Bay and the Gulf. Beautiful clear waters, white sand beaches and shelling were so relaxing. A quick evening cruise to the end of the canal gave us gorgeous views of the sunsets! The home is very tastefully decorated with a cute tropical theme, updated kitchen and appliances. Very comfortable, and well appointed with lots of amenities. A great place to stay. We totally enjoyed the home and our vacation and look forward to going back!

Nicely decorated and comfortable house. It was exactly what we were looking for. Being on the canal and having the boat docked and ready to go everyday made for a great vacation. Plenty of room to for more guests. Looking forward to staying here again.

Welcoming home for boaters
We loved the home! Very spacious for our family of 4. We brought our boat down for our few days in Bradenton, and this home was ideal for our stay. We put the boat in at the state park a few miles down the road (spacious parking area and no charge). The home was very clean. Beautiful, updated kitchen, nice laundry/garage/sunroom/patio area. Nice landscaping, and Wifi was a nice amenity. I can't think of anything this home didn't have to make us feel right at home.

Perfect place for boating families!
We had a wonderful time at The Water’s Edge. The home is nicely decorated, cozy, and welcoming. We brought our boat, and spent our time fishing, snorkeling, tubing and enjoying being on the water. This is the perfect place for a boating family! Being able to dock the boat right outside the home was amazing, and made our time so enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back to The Water’s Edge.
