The Hill is a long-established Italian-American neighborhood with family-owned delis, sandwich shops and bakeries on Marconi Avenue, and trattorias, pizzerias and upscale Italian eateries dotting the streets around Shaw and Wilson avenues. The “Italian Immigrants” statue stands outside St. Ambrose Catholic Church, and locals gather to play bocce at Milo’s Bocce Garden across the street and in neighborhood parks.
Enjoy the food, wine, dolci, bocce and charming atmosphere from the convenience of your sweet perch overlooking the neighborhood’s newest project, the Piazza Imo complete with fountain, benches and chess tables. This lovely new apartment in an historic building is located in the true heart of the Hill. The second floor entrance is accessed from an indoor staircase to the apartment on the right. A shared deck overlooks the neighborhood's new Piazza Imo, with a magnificent fountain, gardens and chess tables with sycamore trees. Enjoy morning coffee or a gelato downstairs at the Gelato di Riso (shortened winter hours in January and February) or have a beverage on your deck with a piazza view, reminiscent of an Italian square. At the foot of the stairs you will be a few steps away from our historic Italian Immigrant Statue, St. Ambrose Church, bocce garden and family friendly neighborhood pub, and pizzeria on our shared corner, and more within a few blocks. An easy walk in this safe neighborhood to countless Italian restaurants, deli's, bakeries and shops make it a place to relax and make memories. Schedule a tour with one of our local tour guides to enrich your experience (see contact information below).
Wander a little farther as you will be only minutes away from Busch Stadium, the Arch, Union Station and Enterprise Center. Ten minutes to Powell Hall and The Fabulous Fox, Washington University, St. Louis University. The perfect apartment for parents' weekends, graduation and other events. Five minutes to the Missouri Botanical Garden and the famous and free St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park. Special events take place at all these locations and some happen right outside your door like the Italian Heritage Day Parade and Festa, Christmas on the Hill, La Festa, and The Giro della Montagna (3rd professional and amateur cycling race of the Gateway Cup) among others.
A queen and full size bed with high quality mattress and linens in this quiet neighborhood make for a restful night’s sleep. There is also a pack n play with linens available on request.

Basic spices (from our neighborhood Italian stores and imported from Italy), of olive oil, coffee, tea and staples, initial stock of paper products, laundry and dish soaps provided along wireless internet, TV in the front bedroom and living room for streaming your favorite shows with your own account, a DVD player, games and books. The apartment was very clean, and nicely decorated. The view from the deck was great. Lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay!

The site was amazing and The Hill was as dynamic a neighborhood as we could hope for. We met our neighbor and she was delightful. If there were any down side it was the 18 step climb to get to the apartment and the traffic on the streets (which the landlords had nothing to do with). We went to the gelato shop and sat on the deck/balcony enjoying the amazing atmosphere of this place.

Very nice two bedroom apartment in the center of The Hill. Lots of quality kitchen amenities; cooking would be no problem. Convenient to groceries, restaurants and right above a gelato/coffee shop! Very quiet; never heard neighbors or street noise. Lovely deck overlooking the plaza & fountain. Only warning I would give is you have to go up a narrow, steep staircase to the second floor which may be a problem if you have disabilities or are elderly.

My family spent the weekend in STL experiencing The Gateway Arch, STL Zoo, the amazing City Museum, and the Danny Go performance at The Factory. We had the pleasure of staying here and really enjoyed the location and all the nice Italian restaurants, coffee shops, and gelato - which is right downstairs. Everything is within an easy walking distance. Offers an amazing view of the courtyard to enjoy a nice coffee or wine in the evening. Would highly recommend.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It is very comfortable, clean, and in a great location. The deck is priceless and the neighborhood is very clean, quaint and safe. No question…this is a great place to stay. THANK YOU!!!

Amazing location in the center of it all on The Hill. Very clean rental and hosts were great. Place was better than advertised.

Great location on the hill! The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights to go to a Cardinals game and to eat at Charlie Gitto's for my son's bday. Very convenient to the ballpark and walking distance to Charlie Gitto's and other restaurants on the hill. Would definitely stay here again when visiting St. Louis!

This is one of the nicest properties we've ever rented. It's clear the owners genuinely care about giving their guests a great experience. Flawlessly clean and with a genuine homey feel. Having the documentary film about the Hill available for viewing was a nice touch and definitely enhanced our appreciation of the neighborhood.

Visited St Louis with hubs and kiddos in tow to appreciate the arch. Sought out this location because of the feel of home in the decor and the neighborhood. Upon visiting, my expectations were exceeded. The history of the hill, the small shops with welcoming clerks, the authentic Italian restaurants within walking distance AND the gelato shop woo-ed me and my family. We were gifted with a few rainy days which the host thought of in advance as there were books (adult and kid friendly) board games and lovely wine glasses, all of which helped us enjoy staying in. Will book again.

Neighborhood was nice and very interesting area. Easy to get to STL attractions.

Very pleased with our stay. Location has easy access from the Webster Groves area to Downtown, and of course the property is located on The Hill for local dining etc.
Good communications with owner, would definitely stay there again.

The Hill is one of the best neighborhoods in St Louis. We were in the middle of everything the Hill offers. Loved it and hope to return sometime.

This is the perfect place to stay in St. Louis. It was decorated for the holiday, super clean and has private parking which is very important while staying on the Hill. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the deck is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. We look forward to staying there in the future.

Amazing neighborhood. This apartment is walking distance to local bakeries and dining. Everyone takes incredible pride in the neighborhood, as they should. The neighborhood is a short drive to the I terstate and the heart of St. Louis. The apartment is wonderful, and the hosts are incredibly accommodating. If your going to St. Louis, do yourself a favor and stay here.

We absolutely loved staying here. My fiancé is from Europe and it reminded him of his home town. So much was in walking distance. We let tour teen boys walk around by themselves and they had fun and it was safe. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and ate at the gelato store downstairs every night. We would absolutely stay here again. I am glad we did not pick downtown to stay and stayed at the Hill instead.

What a true gem! Of all the rentals I have stayed in this one takes the cake! Literally, there is a great bakery steps away! Such a quaint neighborhood, the food, the history and the people! They truly thought of every detail in this place. We felt at home. Classy, cute and cozy. A full stocked kitchen if you plan on prepping some meals. We will be back!

Joe and Debbie's place was great for the 3 of us - myself, husband, and 3 year old daughter. They had all of the home away from home touches and then some. Baby blanket, stuffed animals, books, and games for kids. We loved hanging out on the deck overlooking the Piazza. Friday night we got to see a wedding finishing up at the church across the street. Our daughter loved seeing the bride 😀. The Hill neighborhood was super cute and we enjoyed walking around it, shopping at the cute stores. We visited the zoo, the Arch, Magic House, and Grants Farm. All great sites. There was plenty more we wanted to do, we just ran out of time. Would highly recommend this apartment and The Hill neighborhood for your stay in the St Louis area.

We love visiting The Hill in St. Louis Missouri!
Our past 2 visits we enjoyed staying at this property on The Hill.
The owners make everything simple from check in to check out.
The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Keyless entry was a plus.
We enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the courtyard and fountain, plus the proximity to many restaurants.
We felt safe walking around the hill and enjoyed the people and culture of the area.
The property is a short drive to many of St. Louis attractions.
*Note-You will need to climb stairs.

Clean and comfortable with a really amazing location. We absolutely loved the location. We were about 10 minutes from WashU where our daughter now goes to school. The location on the Hill is perfect and the back deck overlooking the Piazza is nothing short of amazing for having a glass of wine at the end of the day. We tried to book another weekend before we even left, but unfortunately, it was already taken that weekend...:( We will be back though, I am sure of it!

This was our first time to stay in St. Louis as a family, and we were not disappointed! We pretty much stayed in the Hill the whole weekend, with the exception of a baseball game and the zoo.
A gelateria was right downstairs, which my toddler went crazy for, and I was elated to find fresh coffee served each morning! There was a cute pub literally right across the street, that my husband loved being able to watch the game and drink a beer! And the food!!! So many italian restaurants within a block or two in just about every direction!
The apartment itself was super cute and well furnished. There is a shared patio off of the back, that overlooks the piazza and beautiful waterfall! We even went down to play checkers on one of the chess tables, quaintly nestled under the trees. Such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some delicious gelato!
100% recommend and we will be staying again!

Our family stayed at Debbie and Joe’s lovely apartment for 9 days. We were there to meet our new grandbaby and see our son and daughter -in-law. Our time spent with family was wonderful as was our stay in the apartment. The location is perfect with the view of the piazza from the deck. We were in walking distance to all the highlights of the hill. Amazing food is on every corner and the gelato store is downstairs. The apartment is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. It was super clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The deck was spacious and well appointed and the view is amazing. Debbie and Joe were very responsive and made the whole process very simple .It was a great stay and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay in The Hill and found the apartment exactly as described. Our hosts were easy to interact with and available to address any issues. Highly recommend this vrbo to travelers and vacationers alike!

This is a cute little apartment in a great location and just as advertised. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was just my husband and I on this trip but there’s room in the apartment for two more guests. We loved being able to walk to everything we wanted to do besides the Botanical Gardens which was a short drive away. It was nice having a designated parking area because it gets very crowded on the streets. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning on the deck overlooking the piazza and spending time out there in the evenings as well. We would love to stay here again in the future.

The apartment was exactly as shown on the VRBO site. I was a little anxious about possibility of street noise; I shouldn't have worried. It was so nice in the evening sitting out on the deck looking at the fountain and people watching. The bed was very comfortabke and the decor was fitting for the location, quite tasteful. Zia's on the hill and the Missouri Baking Company was on the other end of the block with other restaurants in walking distance. Our destination was the Missouri Botanical Garden and it was only five minutes away by car. As a plant based eater, I was pleasantly surprised to discover the gelato shop on the first floor had dairy free gelato. But, be forewarned, if steps are an issue it is not the place for you. My friend and I are in our 60s and have bad knees, so it was a challenge. Nevertheless, it was well worth it. I would definitely rent again.

This property was awesome! It was clean and comfortable and homey. It was great to walk downstairs and get gelato or coffee. Many delicious restaurants within walking distance. Hosts responded vey quickly to any questions. I liked that they had instructions for anything you needed to use or do. The best part was the deck. It was so nice to sit out there at night and relax. I highly recommend this property!
