About this cottage rental
Known as one of the best spots for view on Kahshe Lake. Unique and picturesque property with 2 cottages on one acre of treed land. Both on the water with a long shoreline and panoramic views of Kahshe Lake!
The main blue cottage is a classic century-old rustic Muskoka log cabin with an expansive wrap-around deck. The interior is bright and inviting with wood and wicker furniture in the L-shaped sunroom, soft pastel-painted wood walls and floors throughout, and a comfortably furnished living area leading to 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom.
The yellow A-frame guest cottage is just a path and a bridge away. It has its own deck, kitchenette, living area, 3-piece bathroom with a romantic candle chandelier hanging over the clawfoot tub, and a generous-sized loft bedroom.
Both cottages have access to the waterfront but the main cottage area will definitely be the place to spend family gatherings. There are so many places to choose from to settle into and relax all while taking in stunning panoramic views of the lake. The large L-shaped deck virtually hangs out over the lake along the front portion and the side has easy access to the sunroom and cottage. A few steps down off the main deck is a shaded second deck with more seating and island views. The large dock has plenty of room for the whole family to spend long sunny days basking in the sun after refreshing swims in the lake. The kids can catch small fish off of both sides of the dock or take the paddle boat out to the middle of the lake to catch larger fish. For the more athletically inclined you can swim to the island across the lake.
You can spend your endless hours in the fresh country air, end your evenings with an outdoor BBQ and watch the sunset and sky fill with endless stars. You may make day trips to local towns such as Gravenhurst or Bracebridge, which are within a 30-minute drive, seek adventure at Santa's Village theme park, or enjoy a steamboat tour on Lake Muskoka.
Price includes both cabins.
Renters need to bring their own sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels.
Water in blue cabin is filtered and treated, but unsuitable for drinking. Bring spring water.

The views of the lake were amazing and seen at every corner. It didn’t matter where you stood the lake was the main focal point. Lots of fish were caught right off the dock. The water was warm and calming. It was nice to get away from the city life. There are many trees on the property and paths that I thought there would be many mosquitoes but not one. Would be back for sure.

I love staying at cottages that remind me of my cottage growing up as a child. This cottage did just that! It may not be modern in style but it’s so quaint and charming. The lake was good to jump into and so nice to swim in. It was in a great spot to take out your own canoe/paddle board or use their peddle boat and enjoy the area. Also close to other towns and adventures nearby.

My family and I enjoyed an incredible week at this property. The views from everywhere on the wrap around porch all the way to the docks are beautiful! Check in and out was easy and simple and it was very easy to communicate with our host!

It is a good place to get away from all busyness in life and just enjoy the quietness of nature.
Plus, breathing fresh air from nature.

My friends and I stayed at this wonderful peaceful treat last August and let me tell you, I don’t normally do reviews but this place is worth it. We would start our days by waking up and sitting on the deck with a coffee and watching the sunrise over the lake. Town was only a 10min drive where you could get everything you needed, but we chose to stock pile and stay at the cottage as much as possible. I’ve already taken days off to come to come back again this summer!!! Our hosts were phenomenal and everything turned out to be better than promised. Cottage felt like a cottage which is what we wanted in for our escape.

Beautiful stay on Kahshe Lake in a rustic cottage. The view from the deck is outstanding. A short paddle boat ride across the lake gets you to the island, where you can watch the sunset. The lake was pretty quiet during the week, a bit busier on the weekend but everyone is very respectful. The fishing off the dock was great, caught lots of sunfish, bass and a pike!
Communication with the renter was very prompt and helpful. Check-in was easy.

The location of this cottage and placement of the windows make for the best views of the water. We had a wonderful week staying here with my family. The bunkie provided the perfect separate space for my mother to stay.
The main cabin is quite rustic but very charming. It has everything you need.
Do be advised however that the walls separating the two bedrooms in the main cottage do not go all the way to the ceiling - my daughter's favorite way to wake us up on the morning was to poke her head over the wall from the top bunk in her room!
Nancy was super responsive to our questions, and was lovely to work with.

While the lake and deck was nice the cottage was very unclean. Mouse droppings visible floors not swept garbage cans covered in mud. 2 paddle boats both broken. Really took some convincing for my family to want to stay there but it’s our only vacation and the o my alternative was to return home. The cottage instructions also told us to mop the floors and clean the oven when we left as if that same courtesy was done for us. Not sure what the cleaning fee is for. Overall dissatisfied mostly due to the lack of cleanliness. Still we left the place in better shape than when we arrived. Some sort of modest refund would be appreciated.

The cottages were really nice with an uncovered wraparound deck that allowed you to find shade if needed throughout the day. The cottage is a 10 minute drive to town.
Excellent fishing right from the dock. Highly recommend bringing a boat if you have one. Mainly quiet lake, great for relaxing.
Our host was excellent and returned messages quickly.
We’re hoping to return again.

Awesome getaway from it all
Wow, what a beautiful, natural spot. Within the first moments of our arrival, anxiety from the city melted away. Everyday, no matter the weather, we were awed by our natural surroundings. Great views from the cottage, which was cozy and had enough space both indoors and out. Most days, the lake was like a mirror! Wifi worked great. Clean and everything worked as it should. Property owner was very accommodating to make this work for us, and we were very grateful! I would add that there is a little hike from the car to the cottage, but well worth it. And sometimes the distant hum of HWY 11 can be heard, but it's quite muffled. That said, we had days and moments of pure silence. Would highly recommend this cottage to couples or families.

Amazing stay at an amazing cottage
Our family just returned from our weeks stay at this wonderful cottage! The lake is gorgeous; clean and weed free off the dock. The cottage offers lake views from almost everywhere and has a wrap around sunroom as well as a wrap around deck. Just a few short steps to the water which is wonderful. There's a table in the shade which is perfect for noon time games and eating meals outside.
The kitchen has everything needed and the rest of the cottage is tidy and has enough seating for bigger families. The newly built bunkie is amazing and was perfect for my Dad to have his own space. It was in a quiet cove which offered some privacy. The owner was so gracious and answered all my questions in a timely manner.
And it was so close to Gravenhurst for groceries or treats. The Farmers market on Wednesday's was amazing! And the wharf area is beautiful.
We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone and would rent here again.
