The place is very clean and cosy. It's very well located and quiet. It's perfect for a couple with kids or four friends.

Great location and Restaurant

Place was as advertised, convenient to Acadia and so great to have a restaurant close by

Small but had everything we needed. Quiet and lovely location with many unuque litle shops. Easy walk to the harbor. Short drive to Acadia National Park and many hikes.

Extremely clean and quiet. Never heard anything downstairs frrom the restaurant. Donuts at the restaurant were amazing. Property says that it sleeps 4. The king bed was comfortable. The pull out couch was not. Thank goodness I brought an air mattress.
Property better suited for 2 adults or 2 adults with a small child.

This unit was perfect for two people. It was advertised as having sleep accommodations for four, but the pull-out couch is extremely uncomfortable - it should be replaced. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, and the unit was clean and welcoming.

Would recommend this particular location to sleep just2 people. Everything else was beautiful!!

Rental was as advertised. Nice quaint little village. Even though in this little village I think you still need safety lock on street door as well as dead bolt on residence door as this door just controlled by code lock and unable to secure from inside
4.2
I would say that it would be best for 2 people, rather than the 4 it can accommodate.

I booked this property for myself, my husband, and my two little kids. The suite itself is fine- very clean and like a standard hotel suite. The location was great- Northeast Harbor is lovely and away from the crowds but an easy drive to the park. I wish we had been able to try the restaurant below us- it was closed for the season but the menu looked great. The suite is down the street from a nice coffee shop and grocery store that were very convenient.
My big issue with my stay is that despite clearly noting that 4 people would be staying in the suite when I made my reservation, there were no linens for the couch bed (weirdly, there were extra pillowcases but no extra pillows either) and only 2 towels. The Keurig coffee machine was stocked up with lots of Kcups of Decaf which completely defeats the purpose of supplying coffee.
I first called the hosting agency about the bedding and was told that we would receive sheets for the couch bed in the morning. I called again at 9am when I realized that the towel and coffee situations were also a problem. Ultimately we got sheets, but no towels and no coffee. To be fair, I was told by the hosting agency that coffee isn't provided in the suite (although there was an unopened box of decaf Kcups in the cabinet where the bulk cleaning supplies were also kept in addition to the Kcups on the counter).
All in all a nice stay was really soured by the lack of linens and poor communication. My reservation was for 4 people and I received a suite set up for 2. And the listing doesn't mention that the coffee maker is a Keurig which makes it hard to bring the right kind of coffee if it is indeed not provided.

Serviceable accomodations, insufficient linens, bad communication

Pros:
Easy to get to, above a restaurant, nice set up, heated floors, great TVs…..overall good property
Cons: the bed is a little rough sleep….could use a mattress topper to freshen it up and same with sofa……sits really low and could use a freshen-up….bathroom lacked counter space and could use some shelves or something for us girls who have stuff ……but these are all things that are actually smaller
My only other con is that I didn’t realize this property is 20-25 mins away from bar harbor and most of the restaurants around it are closed
I would stay closer to bar harbor next time but over all was a great property

We stayed at this property for three nights with our two teenage boys. While Northeast Harbor is conveniently located next to Acadia National Park and a nice quite break from the frenetic activity at Bar Harbor, this vacation rental property leaves much to be desired. During our stay, there was construction happening on both side of the unit, that would begin at 7:00 am every morning. While that is not the owners fault, be aware if you are booking this property during the 2021 tourist season.
Although the unit is relatively new, it had a few issues. The description says it would accommodate four people, but there were only two glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware. Which meant that we needed to eat in shifts, as a family of 4. The description says it has a coffee pot, but fails to mention it’s a Keurig. The shower curtain had mildew.
However, the most frustrating part was that they have no local management. All of our communication was with an offsite property management company that had no local contact person to help us with issues. The cell service was limited in this area and we were relying on the unit’s WiFi to book tours and plan our trip. We had no WiFi in the unit and spent hours trying to get someone to help us get connected. The only response that they had was to reset the router, but the router wasn’t in the unit so we couldn’t do that. They kept saying they would get someone over to reset it, but it never happened. They suggested we just use the WiFi from the Bakery below us, which we couldn’t access from our room, but could get service when they were open. After hours of communicating with the management, they did offer us a partial refund for lack of service. This property has potential, but it is simply not there yet.

This review should have been a 5, the apartment is cozy and comfortable. However, there was an issue with the internet connection. We were emailed the Wifi account name and password, and when we arrived there was a sticky note on the microwave with the account name and password, it was different from what we had been sent. The actual account name was different than either we had been provided, and neither password worked. We contacted VACASA twice and spoke with 2 operators both promising to get back to us within 2 hours. Neither responded. Finally on the second evening there after trying several versions of the pass word, I guessed what it was. No one from Vacasa ever responded and we had no owner contact information. The next issue was the shower curtain, the bottom was dirty and the upper section had black mold. They did finally change it out on the last day we were there. And finally, the parking, there are parking spaces in front of the building, however they are not reserved. The deli below is pretty popular, so a couple of nights all the parking spots on main street were completely filled until around 9 PM. The apartment is located in a nice area, it's comfortable for 2 people and the washer and dryer are right outside the apartment door. .
