About this house rental

Located in a quaint cove on Lake Murray, this quiet and cozy property is perfect for a relaxing vacation. This spacious house has three bedrooms, two with queen beds, and a king bed in the master suite. The open and airy living area is big enough for the whole family and more! The large back deck is partially covered to enjoy outdoors in case it rains with hammocks, outdoor bar, and comfy outdoor seating.

Take the natural stone walkway down a slight hill to your own private dock. Please note that there is no handrail and the path down to the dock is slightly uneven so it may not be suitable for some people. Enjoy the afternoon and unwind down by the water, do some fishing, or watch the sunset. A fisherman’s paradise awaits you!

The dock can accommodate two boats and there is a boat landing about 15 minutes away. Once you're out on the lake, check out some of the restaurants that are accessible by water nearby. Three trucks and boat trailers will fit between the driveway and the front yard.

**The owner occasionally stays in a separate unit on the property. Guests still have private and full access to property amenities. At the most, the owner may occasionally use the dock for boat access.

Perfect place for family vacation. Boat dock was close enough to the spot that it only took ~7 minutes to travel to on water. Clean and nice space. Thoroughly enjoyed the vacation with family.

Checking in was easy, the host made sure we had everything we needed. The boat landing can be a bit tricky. We found the location to be clean and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful as we got to see the beautiful Irises in bloom as well as several other plants. We definitely plan to return.

We had a great time hanging out in the hot tub, very relaxing! Grandson loved fishing off the pier, next time we’ll make sure he stays put ☺️ will definitely do this again!

This property was a dream for my family. Our toddler had plenty of safe space to enjoy inside and out. The location is just breathtaking and we fell in love with the chiminea out back.

I was looking for a place to relax and spend some time with family. My niece has moved about 30 minutes from Prosperity. So, I ran across this cozy cottage! I read the reviews Abs there were a few negative ones. I have never been one to not book somewhere based on a negative review and I’m so glad I booked this relaxing and cozy cottage! It’s nestled in the cove and very quiet and peaceful. It’s right on Lake Murray! The pictures on the site do not do it justice. You can watch the deer early on the morning and sunset. The place was very clean and we had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were great! We enjoyed the hot tub too! To add the icing on the cake, it’s pet friendly! What more can you ask? Jolanta was helpful and even offered to let us use her paddle boards. The closest store is about 20 minutes away but once you have your groceries, you are set for a great stay! I plan on booking this cozy cottage again!

Check in process was ok…we had to contact VRBO on our way there because we hadn’t heard from the owner. Ultimately we got into the home fine. Upon entry the indoor ambient temp was 85 degrees which while unloading into the house was ridiculous consider the Columbia summer heat. There were about 100 buzzards on boats and circling the property which I should have taken as an omen for the death of this vacation. The floors, bathrooms, furniture were all clean. However the dishes and cookware were not. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it and the coffee pot was still filled with old coffee and had to be cleaned. The bathroom sinks didn’t work, which granted was communicated by the owner to us but not until we were on our way there. There was no room to dock our boat and I had to contact the owner who told me to push her jet ski up onto the bank so I could dock my boat. There is advertised Wi-Fi but let’s be clear, it’s a Verizon hotspot that won’t support using the Riki on the tv or even internet browsing. Not the end of the world to not have Wi-Fi, but it should be clear ahead of time for people who need it to work while away. The hot tub only worked half the time because when jets are on they literally pump the water out of the tub and lower the level so it won’t work. The sanitation is sketchy, as it’s a device that literally plugs into an extension cord and is in the water. For a place that has families this seems like an electrocution risk. My wife and I both left with a rash. The parking is ample for a truck and boat trailer. Overall, there is a reason why it’s cheaper than other places, I just regret not paying a little more.

Had a great time with family and friends fishing and cooking. The beds were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. We used the grill all three nights. It was a fun and relaxing vacay.

Jolanta was a wonderful host. The house was very clean. Beds, couch and patio furniture were comfortable. Description was very accurate. It was very nice having a dock in the backyard. We talked to the owner a few times before coming and any issues or questions we had were immediately answered. Lake Murray is a beautiful place and kids really enjoyed swimming and tubing there. We would recommend this place to anyone, especially being right on the lake. Great price and wonderful host. Thanks for providing a great place for our family, with our pup to enjoy for our summer vacation.

Our stay here was amazing. We brought our boat with us and had a very relaxing stress free stay. The hot tub was very enjoyable in the evenings. We also liked sitting in the back porch and dock. My husband would fish while I read a book. Every night deer would come out of the woods next to the house, which was another thing we would look forward to. I highly recommend this property. The owner was very helpful with any questions we had

The property was extremely well maintained by someone who is obviously a master gardener. The interior was fantastic with hardwood floors throughout and very well appointed. Communication with the host was better than I’ve ever known. I would highly recommend this house and this venue to everyone I know.

This is a great place to stay with family and friends. The owners are extremely nice and they go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. I would recommend this place for a get away vacation spot.

If you want to spend your days on the water and hunker down at night, this is a good location. If you are someone who likes to eat out or get out some, this is a little remote. The property was clean, except for the kitchen: oven needed cleaning (which was possibly causing a minor pest problem), looked like a few dirty dishes had been left in dishwasher, and there was food in the fridge from previous guests. For TV, there is one in the living room which is streaming only. I chose this property in part because of the king bed in the master. Unfortunately it is oriented oddly, so one person cannot easily access their side of the bed. The bedding was not appropriate for a king, too small, and not substantial enough to provide a comfortable sleep. Recommend better mattress, better bedding and more and better pillows. Not being able to sleep kind of puts a damper on the otherwise good features of the property. Overall, for a boating vacation, this property provides good value.

We had a wonderful anniversary trip at the lake. The property was very clean and stocked with necessities. 3 nights felt like it wasn’t enough to enjoy the view and hot tub- we’ll stay longer next time!

We had a family get together at the lake. The house was well setup for our family to enjoy our time. The cove was very quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer around the property and relaxing waters for boating, canoeing, and fishing.

The wife and I just wanted to get away for a few days. The home was very clean and cozy. I did miss being able to watch TV at night, however, the peace and quiet was very needed and appreciated. The host went overboard to make our stay nice. Thank you.
