Close to Ventnor sea front, the coastal path and botanical gardens.
Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast and sea view
4.2
The breakfasts were fantastic and the staff were excellent . Very friendly staff who worked hard. Towels were lovely and bedding was clean.
Decor was very knocked about, carpet was grubby. Mattress was uncomfortable and poor quality. Lots of cobwebs and dead spiders around the corners. Curtains were hanging off the rails.
4.2
Lovely views from the room and whole hotel, quiet area.5 star breakfast, really delicious and many choices, good size of family room and very friendly team.
Bathroom needs renovation.
4.2
The location is great, the sea view as well
Mattresses were so uncomfortable that even the children couldn't sleep because of the springs.
Baby's cot was broken, and it couldn't be used or replaced.
Staff are so incompetent, I asked three times to clean the table before breakfast, they never did it. Eventually we cleaned ourselves.
Room cleaning services, didn't even hoover the room, neither changed the towels on the second day.
4.2
View from Room was beautiful. The location was also lovely, and the owners and staff were very attentive.
Breakfast outside was wonderful and nothing too much trouble for the staff
Car Parking added an extra £20.00 for two nights, and although it wasn't raining, if it had been, it would be very inconvenient.
TV in the room wasn't working properly, switching on and off. However, the view made up for this tenfold.
Despite ringing the bell upon departure to settle my drinks bill, I had to go in search of a staff member as nobody answered to bell.
Refurb is needed. However, my comments are in no way criticism, just information for the owners.
The hotel was lovely, but I had a slight feeling that they might be understaffed.
Occupiers above were running up and downstairs until midnight, which wasn't very pleasing.
The bottom of Headbourd requires cleaning..

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Lovely, luxurious room with bath and balcony. We were also able to borrow umbrellas which were sadly needed on the first day. Great location and access to wonderful Vectis bus service. Many thanks. We'll definitely be back!
Just a very small niggle.....the power point behind the bed was difficult to access without moving the headboard

Perfect location, Exceptional views, Lovely warm and friendly staff.

Very clean and tidy, beautiful sea view and lovely balcony, friendly staff, good breakfast.
It’s said “breakfast included” on booking but at property, there’s an additional £10 for breakfast.
4.2
Brilliant views of Ventnor and the sea front.
great breakfast and a very attentive breakfast waiter (was the same chap everyday) majority of staff were also friendly.
Comfy bed.
We discovered our room door was left unlocked and slightly open one day which was concerning as our room was passed by everyone leaving the hotel.
We informed reception we would be out until after 10pm one evening and she informed us she can wait until 22:30 latest. We then asked what the options are and she informed us we can call someone to open the door but it was made to sound as if this may not happen as they were off site. It left us unsure about staying out. This was further frustrating as it’s a security measure despite our room door being left open by staff.
We ended up asking for extra coffee or milk on three occasions during our 5 night stay as we were provided with enough for one day.

Hotel is well decorated stylist and up and coming will be amazing once their refurbishment is completed
Lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much for the staff

Pas de petit dejeuner , à cette période de l'année

The location of the hotel is excellent, amazing sea views and easy access to the town. Our room was a great size, beautifully decorated.
We had to venture out for breakfast but we knew this in advance and the hotel was priced accordingly. It will be lovely to go back and have breakfast on the terrace.
4.2
Amazing view, lovely balcony, friendly staff.

Beautiful room with a wonderful view of Ventnor beach - highly recommended.
It was a wonderful experience, nothing I didn't like!
4.2
Perfect position on the Isle for us as we have family in Ventnor. Lovely warm room and a fantastic view. The staff very pleasant.
4.2
Blood or red wine stains on carpet the size of dinner plate. Bulbs out in ceiling lights. Couldn’t walk in bathroom without shoes due to amount of broken tiles!
4.2
We liked the location and the style of the property
I ran a bath but there was no hot water
4.2
Warm and welcoming staff.
Our room was fantastic, the bath was great with its sea views. balcony with a great view, recommend Wellington.
Breakfast well worth the extra'
Nothing for the price.
4.2
Breakfast was amazing, friendly staff, good location for exploring the island great view off the balcony, controllable heating so you didn’t get too hot at night, lovely hotel with great character.
Cleanliness in the shower cubicle where the door runners are and behind pedestal on sink, and under bed could do with a hoovering. This is not a complaint as there’s refurb works going on there to restore the hotel, just thought you might like to know
4.2
Decor, rooms Seaviews what was not to.like !!! Fantastic will definitely be back 😀 again
Oh and make sure you have have breakfast it's amazing thank you wellington.
Nothing not to like it is stunning
4.2
La vue et la belle chambre familiale très agréable.
Il y avait un échafaudage juste devant la fenêtre : ce n'était pas une très bonne surprise....

I stayed at the Wellington Hotel as my husband was doing an event around the island. It was in a great position, it’s got beautiful view to the sea. The room was small but just what was needed for us and our little dog to rest and recharge the batteries before moving on.
There had been bad floods and power cuts but all the staff were very friendly and helpful when needed.
Thank you. We will definitely be coming back. Great place as we have a little dog.
4.2
The layout of a hotel on different levels on the cliff side. The warmth and welcome from staff. The cleanliness of all areas. The amazing balcony view. The excellent breakfast choices, taste and presentation.
The lack of free or subsidised parking. Bunk beds not sturdy enough for a twelve year old who is already the size of an adult.
4.2
Super location, room very nice with great sea view
Really friendly lady on reception who also served us drinks in the bar and then our breakfast next morning all with
a smile and friendly banter
Breakfast was fab with an amazing choice
4.2
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Children loved the waffles and pancakes!
The boys loved the view from our balcony and enjoyed spotting the ships in the Channel. Convenient location but you need to be a relatively fit person to tackle the steps and steep hill down to the beach.
No car park at the hotel but this wasn’t a problem as we had no problem parking on the roadside in the next street.
The mattresses on the bunk beds in the family room (with balcony) really need replacing. My eldest grandson was unable to sleep on it as the springs were digging into him. I had to utilise a spare duvet to put under the bottom sheet to try and make the bed more comfortable.
4.2
The position was ideal for our purpose, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a large choice.
The lack of a lift to the top floor made it a bit difficult and the storage for tour cloths was non-existent meaning we lived out of our suitcases which for a short stay is not to bad.
4.2
Beautiful rooms and main areas it’s still being done up but it’s brilliant . Room with balcony is a must. Steps down to the beach are steep but very accessible one of our party was 76 and still managed it
Limited parking

The hotel was excellent and superbly refurbished together with owner and reception treating you very friendly making you feel at home. Restaurant and bar excellent together with lovely outside large terrace. Very well situated in Ventnor and lovely sea view room. Access via many steps to seafront. Would stay again.
The fact there is no allocated parking at hotel but parking on the street outside the hotel was easy.
