We have done our best to set this desert pool house up for enjoyment by families, close friends, and their canine companions.
LOCATION
For starters, our home has a great location... in a nice quiet neighborhood with beautiful mountain and sunset views. The home is an easy 20 - 25 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs and 35 minutes to Joshua Tree Visitor Center. Coachella, Morongo, and Agua Caliente are also nearby.
The home is in a nice part of up and coming Desert Hot Springs, a small city just north of Palm Springs. Familiar grocery and fast food restaurants are mere minutes away. There are plenty of family owned restaurants with good food for take out or dine in if you're OK with the typically humble ambiance. If you're looking for a fancy night out with fine dining, DHS is not the city for that. Head to the Palm Springs area. :)
If you plan to just stay put and chill, you'll love your time at Sunny Haven as the home comes with many amenities.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES
Sunny Haven offers a fabulous shaded back patio with plenty of seating and lounge furniture. The pool has built in bar stools and spray fountains. The hot tub has powerful jets. The BBQ has a propane side for those quick grill sessions, plus a charcoal side and side smoker for those chill BBQ days.
The front patio is walled in with a lovely porch swing and bistro set from which you can enjoy a beverage while taking in the scenery of the Coachella Valley.
The landscaping throughout has been thoughtfully designed to show the beauty of the desert, provide bits of shade, attract birds, and generally lend to the feelings of oasis.
PLEASE NOTE: The pool is heated at no additional cost between May 1st and September 30th. For pool heating outside of these dates, please contact us for pricing. The spa heating is always available at no cost.
INDOOR AMENITIES
The kitchen has been updated and provides all the tools you need to share delicious meals with your family and friends. The pantry should have a few common seasonings available to share.
The living space offers a leather sofa, two leather recliners and a rocker for your seating pleasure. For entertainment, the 65" SmartTV provides all the streaming services plus a sound bar to connect your bluetooth device if desired.
The kids room includes two arcade cabinets with a variety of games like Mrs Pac Man, Mortal Kombat, Galaxian, and 1944.
SLEEPING
The home includes three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have premium quality king size memory foam mattresses that cradle and support you while keeping you cool. The third bedroom has two twin size bunk beds... with twin size trundle beds underneath as well. We allow maximum 6 adults, or 8 total guests. Kids only in the top bunks please!
OTHER AMENITIES
You'll note of course that we provide free high speed internet, central A/C and heat, plenty of electrical outlets, washer and dryer, a 2 car garage, and both back and front yards are fully fenced for the safety of your pets.

This was an amazing property! Better than advertised!!! Very clean! Beds where really conformable!!! Kids room had 3 arcade games!! Pool and jacuzzi was amazing!! Great location! Will definitely book again!!!

Our family loved Sunny Haven. The house was very clean along with plenty of space for our family. The pool was a perfect size for our family and is where we spent most of the day. Pool was clean and well maintained. Our dog also loved the backyard with plenty of space to run around. Neighborhood was very quiet as well. Can’t wait to return back in the future.

My husband, pups, and I had an amazing and relaxing time at this property. The property owners had very clear check-in and check-out instructions and had labels all over the property that helped us locate items, switches, and even instructions on how to turn on the showers. Definitely recommend this property located in a quiet neighborhood.

Gabe's place is exactly as advertised. Everything was clean and easy to find. I loved that the kitchen drawers and cabinets were labeled. The eat-in kitchen was perfect. The pool was fantastic, as was the hot-tub. The beds were comfy. Everything was exactly where it needed to be. This is where we'll be staying any time we're in the area.
A few notes:
1. The back sliding door is a little loose in the lock, so when I closed the door coming outside on the first day the lock dropped back into place inside, leaving us stranded in the backyard with no shoes and no cell phones. The gate to the driveway is locked from the outside, so we had to jump the fence to get back into the house. While you're home you might want to unlock the fence gate, and memorize the garage code just in case!
2. The backyard surfaces get extra hot. Always bring shoes outside with you, and be careful with pets' paws!
3. We brought a pop up sunshade and put it in the pool - and it was just was the doctor ordered!

Just spent the weekend in Sunny Haven, it was the best Vrbo experience I have ever had. The entire process was amazing, the detailed instructions, they have everything you need. The pool and patio area was our absolute favorite. Pictures don’t do it justice. The views are amazing. There are local shops and small restaurants a short drive within the city, and only 20 min or so away from Palm Springs if you need bigger stores and bigger restaurants. A big plus for us was that they are pet friendly! Have added you guys to our favorite places and will definitely visit again soon.

We had a great family vacation. The home is very well equipped - kitchen well stocked. The backyard with pool is a real oasis - barbecue great - we spent a lot of time out there. The host was exceptional - responded in such a timely manner to any question we had. We thought the house would be a little bigger from the pictures on the listing. Overall, a very positive experience.

From booking to checking out, everything was smooth and easy. Clean and well kept, we enjoyed everything about the place, but especially the hot tub. I especially enjoyed that there were some close by places to take the dog on a walk and even let her explore off leash!! Easy access to the downtown qith stores but quiet enough that you weren't bothered by traffic noises. And a beautiful view as well!!!

Our family came in for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Because we had adults, a toddler and a dog, this was the absolute perfect location! The property was fenced in for the dog and no way to escape! This was the perfect property for our family.
The hosts literally thought of everything from check in to check out and everything in between. Check in was simple, the host was an easy, responsive and excellent communicator. All items in the house were labeled to make all equipment easy to use.
The home was very clean, and the beds, pillows and bedding are very comfortable. It was the little details that made the home extra special. For example, detailing how to use the fans and lights, having dog bags outside for our use, the tumblers to be used outside for drinks and all of the cookware, utensils, etc. - the appliances as well looked to be brand new.
The neighbors on each side were quiet, the neighborhood was nice and clean, we had no issues.
Having use of the TV and the family room set up - worked for everyone. The BBQ worked great, the pool and hot tub were very clean as was the backyard.
Thank you again, we would definitely stay at Sunny Haven again. Your communication, your home and your detailed thoughtfulness really did show and was very appreciative.

This is a beautiful home for a family. Was missing a few kitchen items I'm used to seeing in a rental such as coffee, baggies and vegetable oil; cooking basics.
If your destination is DHS or you don't mind being over 30 minutes from Palm Springs this place will be hard to beat!

This was my first time using Vrbo, just wanted a short, getaway with the family before school starts. And it was a great experience. A beautiful home, well kept and clean, spacious with a high ceiling in the living room and comfortable in a nice quiet neighborhood, Overall a great home.
The pictures are exact representation of the home. The swimming pool was clean and in great condition. Kids had a great time swimming in the pool, playing arcade games and gazing the stars at night.
The only thing I didn't like about Sunny Haven is that we couldn't stay long. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back soon!

My family and i just wanted a quick little weekend retreat and we took advantage of the spectacular stargazing weekend. Booked to mostly just relax at the house and enjoy sun and pool. It was everything i wanted and we had an amazing weekend.

This was a very nice property in a quiet neighborhood. My family of 4 stayed here and it was perfect size for us. Check-in was super easy. The host of the house is easily accessible and responds right away.
The game room was a fun touch and my kids loved it. We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub, which were very clean. The kitchen was updated, spacious and had all of the amenities to cook for the week as well as open to the living room so that we could interact easily.
There are stores nearby for groceries and the local restaurants were also very good. I10 is also close if anyone plans to head into LA or San Diego and it was a very short drive to Joshua Tree National Park. We absolutely loved the area and would stay again.

The place was what I expected. Nice, clean, not over the top. The game room was a plus. Clean rooms. Easy check-in. BBQ easy to use.
A few things to follow up for the owner. The entrance glass door rusted or needs repair, it was hard to open. The fountain in the pool never worked. The view in the front yard was nice during sunset. Over all nice property. We had a good time.

This home is located in an non-gated development with other similar homes. It was very nice inside and appeared to be newly renovated. The air conditioning was nice and cold and the hot tub was nice and hot.
The owners obviously went out of their way to make sure you knew which light switches went with what (they labeled them all), and the kitchen was very well stocked with pots/pans/knives/silverware/cups/towels, etc. and there were instructions on how to run the ac/hot tub/lights/etc.
The backyard was great for the pups, although a bit warm when we were there. The outside patio fans and loungers were a definite bonus.
The location is great, with a park nearby and a 15-20 minute drive into Palm Springs. The area was very quiet for the most part.
Not sure what else to say other than we will definitely be coming back! :)

We truly enjoyed our stay. House and pool were amazing. Great place for a family. Hosts were very accommodating. You cannot beat the view in the backyard. We caught a rainbow between the palm trees and the mountains.

So much to love about this property located in a quiet neighborhood! Perfectly situated for exploring the area from Joshua Tree NP to Palm Springs to the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains. But bright, comfortable, and well equipped for relaxing. Pool area had calm ambiance with great lounge chairs and large covered patio with plenty of shade. We really enjoyed soaking in the spa pool so we saw no need to explore the numerous close by hot springs. Don’t miss the SPECTACULAR sunset views from the front garden.

Overall house was clean well maintained and we've been enjoyed with worry free environment. Pool was clean, privacy is plus. Entertainment equipment were excellent.
Refrigerator ordor was not good and master bed room shower pressure was very very weak.

Amazing pool time :)
Gabe is an awesome host! we had an amazing time staying at this gorgeous property. Pool is amazing the yard is set up perfectly with nice outdoor table and BBQ set and of course, pool chairs! The property is fully fenced in for the dogs to roam freely in the back yard. The house is spotless and the kitchen is fully stocked for everything you need. We would love to go back and stay there again.
