Would highly recommend

A small but very light and airy flat with lovely views over the river. The hostess Roz was very nice and resolved a couple of minor issues immediately.

Great location, perfect for a short stay, compact and bijou

Superb location, great communication, clean and compact accomodation

Small and tiny items only to be bought to the owners attention for internal review. Only one frying pan that is scratched and very sticky. Feather bed linen not to everyone's liking. Small bathroom towels. No hanging mirror that is useable. Microwave shown on the listing however there is not one, Toilet brush broken. Please note these are only VERY SMALL things for your attention only and are not complaints

Fantastic

I don’t have anything negative to say about the property. It is compact as others have said, but it’s perfectly sufficient for two. The microwave is incorporated in the oven ( it was said that there wasn’t one in someone else’s review). The view and location couldn’t have been better and I would without question stay here again

For me personally, a cat mooching about. There isn’t anything I can think of that was needed

Compact and bijou apartment but perfect for a couple and provided sufficient facilities for our stay

Location was fantastic for sightseeing in the area and the view from the terrace was superb.

Bathroom window didn’t have a blind for privacy.

Comfortable base for a short stay in this pretty part of Devon.

Great location 5 mins from village centre and shop. Lovely view across estuary. This tiny flat had everything we needed for our short stay.

A microwave would be a useful addition. Access is via a dozen modern, well maintained but quite steep steps, which were fine for us but might not suit everybody.

The location was brilliant and the views were incredible. Easy to walk down to the village, and down to the river.

Excellent location and charming property. Will stay again!

Beautiful views of Noss Mayo on the balcony/terrace (also a lovely open space to enjoy the sun!). Short walk to the village including cafes, pubs and lovely walks. The property was clean and comfortable.

Very nice break

Stunning views Lovely Place

Was slightly smaller than expected- being 6’2 I was nearly skimming the kitchen ceiling. Was quite compact, but lovely too…….. Just there for 3 nights so was ok for us👍🏼 Lovely patio/ balcony, nothing really negative. Enjoyed our stay. Thank You Roz🙂

Exceptional

Location and views and parking were all fab, as was communication. It was very clean and comfortable and although compact, it was just great for both of us. It had everything we needed and was warm and cosy. The bed was really comfy too and the room also benefitted from its own french doors to the decked area. The added bonus was the decked balcony area, which was lovely and we enjoyed breakfast in the sunshine!

A real gem

This was our second visit. The situation of the apartment is perfect with amazing views over the River Yealm and within easy reach of 3 pubs and local shops. There are fabulous walks and beaches close by...a real gem.

Our visit was late December so the weather wasn't great. We hope to return during warmer climes to enjoy and explore this beautiful area even more.

Fantastic little compact flat With fantastic views

Fantastic view lovely quiet Flat Great little kitchen comfy bed lovely shower nice and warm. I would imagine in the summer fantastic outside facilities as well Used it on probably the coldest weekend this year! We'll hopefully book in the next couple of weeks again for another weekend away

There isn't much to say generally happy with the whole experience Only comical thing I can say is the tap in the kitchen is a little bit powerful and you do not care for it will comically soak you It had me and the wife to the point we just laughed over it Then if that's all I can say wrong well I'm a very happy man

Location, Overlooking The Yealm Estuary. Great for walking from door. Lovely Owners, on site. Good Local, pubs, cafe, and Co-op, Pharmacy. On bus route too, if needed.

Great view, spot on and just what we wanted.

Superb location with everything we needed within a short stroll, shop, post office, cafe with wonderful breakfast and a great pub also doing good food. Additionally, if the tide is right, you can cross the river causeway and steppingstones to two more hostelries. Lovely walks in the area.

Beautiful little accommodation. so clean and modern with all facilities except a microwave. Bed comfortable and shower room really great. Lovely view of river and Noss Mayo from living area. Small just okay for two people but really enjoyed our stay.

Maybe remove hanging wicker chair. Really small but lovely.

Wonderful little gem.

The view was exceptional!

Two tiny niggles...a small knife for chopping veggies would have been useful. Also no shaving charger point, we needed to buy an adaptor (which we found in the local pharmacy)

We had a great stay at Close Quarters and would/have recommended it to friends and family.

the property location was brilliant. Roz the owner was lovely and very helpful. she found my lost earring for me AND forwarded it on to me which was so kind.

The lounge area was smaller than expected, but the views from here were outstanding. we were out most of the time, but when were were in at the end of the day this area was a little cramped.

we had an enjoyable stay in Newton Ferris. we did a few lovely walks and swims, and enjoyed meals in the local pubs.

I liked the central position of the property and how clean it was. I also liked the huge terrace with the stunning views. Roz was easy to communicate with, and replied promptly to texts. she very kindly returned a jumper I’d left behind.

The kitchen/diner was smaller than I’d expected, and though it was well equipped, the sitting area was cramped.

Beautiful area which we already knew quite well. Ideal for a short break.

Lovely location overlooking the River Yealm. The living room is tiny but worked for just us two. Well equipped. Welcome drink and milk was appreciated thankyou.

Great spot to relax and enjoy this part of Devon.

I was doing a green wood working course with Peter Lanyon just a few miles away and this was very convenient location with stunning views and a beautiful village.
