Espaçoso
O aquecedor não funcionou na primeira noite e como estava bastante frio foi desagradável. Mas foi substituído no dia seguinte

Cheiro a esgoto permanente no WC! Pouco isolamento sonoro e da luz exterior. Sistema de abertura do quarto extremamente difícil. Grande dificuldade para estacionar o carro nas proximidades.

Cartaxo is "off the beaten track" and this hotel has that feel to it. It is decorated as if you were staying in an old villa, with antique type furniture. I was awoken by a rooster the next morning. Check-in was very easy, despite the fact that I never saw any staff. They gave me access codes to the building and room and all transactions were made easy.
It is not recommended for people with mobility issues or a lot of luggage or children apparel, as it has no elevator. The bathrooms are simple and small if you are accustomed to luxury hotels, but it was enough for me. :)

Bathroom was extremely smelly. Maybe having to do with the plumbing. I didn't know if it was the water that smelled or sewage. I did not shower b/c it was smelly.

Central location

It is not meant to be an hotel so the room was basic. Clean room with daily room service and the Dom Dinis does have a shower room inside . The location is very good with lovely patisseries and shops nearby. For us it was just a base to visit family so didn’t stay in the room for long.
The decoration and building is very dated. Not enough electric plugs for the modern necessities.

big room, but improvised bathroom, very very small, with space for nothing... the room having more space, without use.
very very simple breakfast
the entrance door to the building did not work properly... it had to be left open

This is a very clean, well-appointed guesthouse on the second floor of a building conveniently located in the center of Cartaxo. It has a communal kitchen (where breakfast is served in the morning) and a communal terrace on the first floor of the building. Rooms come with keys to shared bathrooms, located in the hallway. Rooms have flat-screen TVs and electric heaters. The cleaning staff are lovely and kind.
Perhaps because I desperately needed to use the facilities after a long journey, I panicked when I could not find the bathroom upon my arrival-- even though I had booked the accommodation because it listed "private bathroom" among the room's amenities. After contacting the management (still no response) and Booking.com, and with the help of a kind person from a neighboring room, I found a key to a shared bathroom at the end of the hallway which had the names of two other rooms on its door. Neither the key nor the bathroom's location were mentioned in the check-in instructions. This seems like a serious discrepancy (i.e., false advertising) on the part of the business, which still maintains-- according to Booking.com-- that the bathroom is indeed private "but simply outside, not inside the room." To the contrary, other guests were using the bathroom (presumably those staying in the rooms listed on the door?) and on the wall of the bathroom itself there is a list of WC Utilization Rules intended for shared facilities. I am actually still in my room at the guesthouse as I write this review; I have had to extend my stay by two extra nights as my car is being repaired here in town and this was only accommodation available in walking distance of the mechanic. I hope my review will inspire the owners/management to revise the room description, or Booking.com to require more transparency/accuracy when it comes to describing accommodations.

The room is quite comfortable, clean, has a smart TV, has a portable heater.
The kitchen is clean and fully equipped.
There's a free parking spot behind the House.
There are restaurants and markets around.
The Cartaxo's room bathroom is... badly designed, it's huge (almost same size as the room itself), but:
- The door makes a LOT of noise, wanna use quietly during the night? Nope, your SO will wake up.
- It's COLD, there's no portable heater in the bathroom.
- There is NOWHERE to put your clothes: either atop the sink, or the toilet.
- The toilet paper stays BEHIND the toilet seat
- The door has no handle inside, if you forget to put the little cord to the inner side when you close it you'll have a miserable time trying to open it.
- The soap dispenser has no label, if you decide to use it you'll have to guess which is the soap/shampoo
- The shower box is open, try as you must, you'll end up getting the floor wet, this with the cold floor is... not nice
Lots of bad points, but, they're all *easily* fixable, so here's hoping they are corrected.

The fact that they had the heater on before we came in on a cold cold night.
The sound when you used the showerethe bathroom. It was rather loud but did not last long.

The staff were quick to resolve my complaint. The rooms were spacious and pleasant. The on site staff were excellent ☺️
When I arrived there was very noisy building work in the adjacent rooms.

Nice spacious room with vintage furniture . rooms and restrooms are clean and organized well
. We arrived late so checkin was a bit bumpy but that was solved pretty quickly.
