This is our third year staying here….and we’ve already booked for next year. This place has the location, privacy as well as plenty of room for three families (two daughters, spouses and granddaughter) to spread out and enjoy our special week. The facility is exactly as stated and pictured.

We have stayed here 2 years as a family vacation. The location is amazing right on the beach. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Garage is great to put your sandy beach supplies. A large deck to watch the fireworks or just have a drink together. The house has everything you need!

Everything was great with the house for us. It worked perfectly with the set up. The only thing I would have to say negative would be the bathrooms need some updating. There are two bedrooms in the basement which it worked for us because of our situation. The listing says there is a queen and a king bed but fortunately for us, the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bedroom both had king-size beds. The other bed in the basement was quite a bit smaller maybe a full.. and is attached to the other bedroom with two exits. The bunk room was excellent for our kids…slept 6 kids comfortably.

We had a great time at this house and would definitely return. Location was perfect, right on the beach with the access boardwalk over the dunes right outside the front door. The balcony was a great place to sit and relax. Plenty of space inside with a nice finished basement. Kitchen was stocked with supplies and staples, and the good amount of beach equipment was appreciated too. Suited our family’s needs perfectly - great spot for kids.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the ocean view cottage. The view of the ocean and proximity to the beach are unbeatable. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely love to visit again, and highly recommend this spot to anyone considering a beach spot in OOB!

Squeaky wood floors added to the charm of this well used "Nest" in the dune. Roof deck hosts beautiful sunrises. Lower deck could use a power wash. Lower level large dehumidifier was loud. Beds were comfortable. All things necessary functioned well. Great getaway. Would stay there again!

Wonderful experience. Four of us from out of state got a beautiful introduction to Maine. We woke up to beautiful sunrises on the deck, stayed comfortably with all necessary amenities in a very clean home, and had everything we needed for our week's stay.

This was as advertised and served the purpose of our family get away for New Years Holiday. Yes it was off season, and very quiet, but that was our desire. We have been to Old Orchard Beach during peak season and we wanted something different from that. Still plenty of tourist interests were open for us out-of-towners to enjoy. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions. No problems at all!

The house was great. Perfect location on the beach! Comfortable and well equipped. Only complaint was we had no idea that the town would be shut down for the season at the time of our stay. Was disappointing and had a hard time finding places to eat.

Beautiful spot right on the beach! The location couldn't have been more perfect for access to the beach and the magnificent sunrises. The dual decks were great for relaxing with a lovely view of the water. The house was very well appointed with all the supplies we needed. The lower level was nicely laid out but unfortunately we weren't able to utilize the space due to the mustiness. I have severe asthma and allergies so couldn't be downstairs for more than a few moments without heavily sneezing. For anyone without these issues, however, it's a great space with two bedrooms, an area to lounge, and games. I did message Richard upon arrival asking how to control the television downstairs as we couldn't locate the remote but never received a response to this question. I didn't ask again as I quickly realized we wouldn't be spending time downstairs. I was also surprised to not hear from our host in regards to arrival instructions until I messaged him on the day of our stay, and also didn't receive any communication before or after checkout. Perhaps I'm just used to more correspondence from past stays with VRBO hosts, but certainly not a reason to refrain from booking. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and see why guests continue to return! Cheers!

Great kitchen space ,nice gathering space with comfortable furniture. The bathrooms are small but there are Plenty of towels. Four parking places was also nice. Would rent again.

Absolutely perfect for group (5 adult cousins). The house has all the comforts of home! We were surprised at how many things were already stocked. Love the dual Keurig coffee maker (by the cup or pot). Very clean, tastefully decorated and a view of the sun rising over the ocean and the sound of the waves from the top deck. We had a wonderful time staying in old orchard! The house was clean and right on the water with great views and excellent sunrises. Close enough to Portland and surrounding towns, but there was still plenty to do in walking distance too. Highly recommend!

We had a very short three-day stay over Labor Day this year. There were six of us - all family. We had a blast. The house is perfectly located right on the beach. The upper deck is amazing in the morning and night to just watch and listen to the ocean. Felt very private. We will definitely do it again soon. Longer this time.

Very roomy and comfortable... well stocked. Kitchen can well accommodate many chefs (or want-to-be chefs). Bedrooms are very well sized. Balcony / deck views of sunrises are striking but also great for your 5 O'clock somewhere happy hour !!!!. Being beachside is a sure winner !!! Location is hard to beat !

Once again, we were all thrilled with the rental property. Its location on the beach, distance to restaurants and entertainment cannot be beat. The relatively warm water was inviting, refreshing and enjoyed every day but one. We definitely plan on staying there again. All pictures and listings of the property are totally accurate. Dealing with the host Richard was also a pleasure.

This is our second year staying here and it was every bit as perfect this time as it was last time. The weather was disappointing but we still had an amazing time. The home is in the best location and it’s so comfortable. Richard is my most favorite STR host. He is so great and I personally appreciate him for his kindness and accommodation for my elderly parents. Being at this property and OOB means so much to them and our family. The house is perfect for anyone but especially those who may have mobility issues and do best with one floor. Literally THE BEST! Great big thanks to Richard for sharing his property with us. The memories are priceless.

We had 3 generations of family join us on our vacation over the 4th. The house was perfect for all ages! If it wasn’t for the rain, we would have lived up on the upper deck every evening - you can’t beat the views! The walk to the beach was easy and we just made sure to go set up our chairs early each morning to reserve a good spot then would head down for the day after breakfast.
The location was perfect as it was close enough to walk to the pier, but just far enough to be far away from most of the hotels/motels that seemed to crowd the beaches much more a little further down.
I would 100% recommend this property and hope to come back in the summers to come!

Just far enough from the hype but walkable to the pier. The house is clean and welcoming. The view from the upper deck was what you would want with your morning coffee or evening wine. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable beds made for restful nights. It was a wonderful way to bring in 50! Highly recommend!

Words can not express how amazing this property is. Between location, space, and comfort / entertainment, this property has everything you could be looking for. One member of our group summed it up well: this home is very user friendly. Had just the right amenities and conveniences of home, plus considerations for all age groups: main floor bedroom if you have someone who can't go up and down stairs easily. Separate living space and bedrooms for family with younger children. Bunkbed room for cousins to stay up late together.
If you are considering a stay in OOB, book this house! You will not be disappointed! We were only there for 4 days for our daughters graduation from UNE and we wished we didn't have to leave. Thank you for the amazing memories that we will always have with our family!

We stayed for the weekend as we were in town for my granddaughters wedding. My kids and grands came in from all around the country, and this was the perfect place for us to gather. The house was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked, and there was plenty of room for everyone. I hope I get to go back again, when the weather is warmer. The beach is beautiful and you can walk to many places. I seriously could not have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend!
