We had a fun-filled and relaxing week! We spent three days in Anacortes and explored Washington Park and Deception Pass. We took the ferry to Lopez Island and biked one day and, the next day, saw Orcas and a humpback on our whale excursion out of Friday Harbor. Sunny and 65 for the week and exceeded our expectations.

This house is located in a peaceful, quite neighborhood with an amazing view and within walking distance to a small. private (HOA only) beach.
The house is so comfortable, plenty of room for our family and again the view is outstanding! Per other reviews, yes, there is some religious decor but it's not overwhelming or offensive. There is a door to the owner's space downstairs, but you do not see it and I never felt uncomfortable. The owner is easy to communicate with and extremely helpful and kind. If you are looking to stay in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere then this is the place for you. We will be back.

Thank you for a lovely visit in Anacortes.

This venue has a beautiful view and that was the saving grace for our time there. It should be understood that Vrbo's are lodging for the public. We found the rules, Morman artwork, printed materials and the owner living downstairs (it says property ... not in the actual house) to be very uncomfortable. Next time we'll find a beautiful view elsewhere and stay where we can be comfortable.

The view is absolutely nuts, and the house is pretty equipped! We were surprised to discover that anyone using the other bathroom can SEE YOU when using the toilet or stepping out of the shower. There is a window between two bathrooms. They have put a picture in front of it, BUT the picture is much smaller than the window. Secondly, the beds in the master were not adequate. If you are looking for a nice slumber you might want to choose other lodging. The second room bed was much better. Lastly, for all future lodgers just make sure you read all the detail. There's a lot of rules. LOTS. They have a right to say what they need since its their home and its a little overwhelming with how many rules you must abide by.

You won't regret choosing this home for your stay! It had everything we needed especially the view. There are many things to enjoy nearby.

Located in a nice neighborhood with great views from the living/dining area. Well stocked kitchen with all the cooking and serving items needed for a family of six. Amply linens for the bedrooms and bathrooms as well. Access to a washer/dryer would have been an added bonus. About a ten-minute drive to downtown shopping and restaurants.

A beautiful home, that provided amazing views 24/7, in one of my most favorite places in our country……the Pacific Northwest. It just does not get any better than that!
Thank you

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home. The views were amazing and the location was perfect. We are from Florida and we were there to get my daughter to bring her home for the summer. It was so nice to see the other coast and to have fun filled days of hiking and then to come back to the house to watch a beautiful sunset. We had everything we needed. Whale watching was just a 4 minute drive around the corner. We spent a day in Canada which was not a far drive. Anacortes is a beautiful little coastal town. It was an amazing trip and we have a lot of wonderful memories.

A beautiful home that allowed me to reconnect with my grandchildren and enjoy watching a Humpback whale, Harbor seals, eagles and sailboats while the sun was coming up and setting!

This is the most wonderful water view home in the entire tugboat park area. You are just one row of houses from the water and up high so your view is of burrows and San Juans is perfect. The huge deck just beckons you to just sit and watch the view, islands, mountains and ocean, and watch the boats go in and out of the skyline marina just to the right. The house is clean, beautifully decorated, very homey and cozy but with lots of room, lots of comfortable furniture, huge lovely kitchen., and skylights where you can watch the moon rise . The glass block on both sides of the property deck give it wonderful privacy even though you are in a neighborhood and the neighborhood and tugboat park are just the very best place to be. You are at the mouth of the San Juan Islands and just a few minutes to all their glory, We will return frequently and just feel blessed to have found a vrbo house that is so perfect!!!! Lots of Joy in this home!!!! B&J

We enjoyed our three-night stay here. The view from the Living Room and well-equipped kitchen was lovely. The lounge chairs on the deck were an unexpected treat and the sunsets were gorgeous. Anacortes has a lot to offer. We were there too briefly to see it all and look forward to returning some day. Make sure you visit Washington Park, which is very close to the house and has a beautiful loop road. We enjoyed a sunset dinner on one of the beaches there during our stay. We took the ferry to San Juan Island for the day and enjoyed exploring that island (by car). If you do that, know that the last ferry of the day is a "local" and takes twice as much time as the "nonstop" trips -- we got back to the house well after midnight!

Wow what an incredible view!!! Stayed glued to the big windows in the living room for hours taking in the beauty of the Puget Sound.
Roxy was a wondedul host, very responsive, very accommodating, committed to proving a great experience for her guests.
Even though it is a split level home with access just to the upstairs, the owners weren’t there, we had complete privacy.
The home is located in a quite, upscale community and equipped with everything you might need for your stay.
It has been renovated, has newly installed forced heat (furnace) and a fan in the living room you can turn on and off.
The bedrooms are darker and cooler, the living room is spacious and well lit thanks to the big windows and skylights.
The host has put in place a number of rules to ensure the house is always left in a great condition and we appreciated that.
The house rules were not posted in the property description so here they are to avoid any surprises:
House Rules:
- No smoking
- No pets allowed, the owners are highly allergic
- No events, parties, or large gatherings
- Alcohol is not allowed anywhere at the property
- Do not move any of the furniture
- Please no overnight sleeping on the sofas
- No shoes inside the house, leave all shoes at the entry in the shoe cabinet
- Please no food or drink in the living room or in the bedrooms
- Please be sure to not track any sand into the house
- Quiet hours are enforced from 10 PM to 8 AM
We had a great stay and would come again.

Inaccurate home description and confusing discussions with owner had us leave early
This home is a shared home with the owner who is downstairs. This is not documented anywhere in the description of the property. When you enter the home you see right away a curtained off downstairs. We would not have rented this home if we knew this. We have 2 young daughters and for us it is a safety issue. When we talked with the owner by phone after seeing the layout she told us nobody would be living downstairs during our visit as she was out of town. Because of this we decided to stay. But then on day 1 the owner came home and stayed downstairs, the next morning we decided to pack up and leave early. I spent the entire night awake making sure nobody came up those stairs.
The home is advertised as having AC in the description which it does not. The home gets very hot with the large windows facing the afternoon sun and there is no way to securely open the house up when you are away. The home stayed very warm late in to the evening.
This is also a very religious home. This is not wrong by itself but should be mentioned in the description. There are over 100 Mormon books, pamphlets, pictures and paintings throughout the home. We have stayed in homes with religious icons and have had no problems with this but the sheer volume of these items was off putting.
The home itself is dated but is mostly in good order. The screen door to go outside isn't working correctly, the refrigerator is loud, the stools in the kitchen are not stable (there is a warning note but for renter safety they really should be replaced), and the trash compactor is difficult to open and close for putting trash into.
I do believe the owner's heart is in the right place and she was very kind to us during our conversations, she left out some toys for our girls to play with, and the view from the home is amazing. Without this we would have given 1 star.

Stunning & spectacular views with warm & gracious hospitality.
This beautiful Anacortes beach home had the most stunning vistas we have ever enjoyed. Looking out over the Olympic mountains, local islands and bays was relaxing & magical. Our host was so thoughtful with fresh flowers in the rooms, and so generous with everything we needed to make our visit so wonderful, including binoculars, information, and even a great jigsaw puzzle! The television entertainment was great too. The kitchen had all we needed to cook and eat at home with the best views imaginable. This was truly a fantastic and memorable stay. The location was fabulous as well, with a great park nearby with hiking and beach views, Deception Pass State Park, Anacortes parks and shopping, and Mt. Erie. We highly recommend this magical Pacific Nothwest getaway; we Floridians were so glad we chose this home. We only missed the opportunity to have a glass of wine on the spectacular deck, as no alcohol consumption is allowed on the premises.
