About this house rental
Welcome to Cherrybook Hideaway, one of the unique "deck houses" that were popularized in the Northeast during the mid-1900's for their warm wood, walls of glass, open floor plans, and cathedral ceilings. Our Hideaway is a mountainside retreat situated on 1.5 acres of private woods.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the wraparound deck, surrounded by trees and birds. Admire the sunset while enjoying a cocktail on the patio. Stargaze while in front of the firepit. With serene views from every window (and there are a ton of windows!), you’ll feel like you're living in the treetops.
This house comfortably sleeps 6. Enjoy a book in one of the many indoor and outdoor reading nooks, snuggle up on the sofa and play an LP from our collection (or bring along your favorites), enjoy stargazing at the fire pit, or cozy up in front of the flatscreen TV in the family room.
Although this house is secluded in a serene landscape, you’re only 6 minutes into Collinsville for antiquing, boutiques, LaSalle’s, and the rails-to-trails; 12 minutes to Ski Sundown; and 9 minutes to the convenient shopping. 33 minutes to Bradley International Airport; 2 hours to Boston and NYC.

Grateful to Jessica for allowing us to rent her home. Very private, surrounded by trees, clean and spacious home. Jessica was exceptional with communication. Would recommend.

We had the best stay at Jessica and Ben’s treehouse! We stayed for just over nine weeks and it truly felt like our home away from home. The house is surrounded by trees and truly feels secluded and private. There are many farms, restaurants, and shops just down the road making it super convenient. There was the perfect amount of space for our family of 4 and communication was excellent. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Thanks for another great time at your beautiful home! Your place is super comfy. We love sitting on the back deck on clear nights looking at the bright sky with all its stars! During the day we enjoy hiking and taking trips to surrounding towns. Our weekend was perfect and we hope to return in the Spring!

Well appointed and welcoming home. Comfortably sleeps 6. Thoughtful hosts and great communication. String is wooded and serene. Only tip, GPS directs you to turn too soon, Don’t, continue around bend to “white” mailbox with street number and enter driveway. Will definitely visit again. Canton vacation
Jessica’s home is amazing! It had everything you need and more. The kitchen is fully stocked and the furniture and beds are super comfy! My sister and I especially loved having our morning tea on the wraparound deck with all its beautiful plants and flowers. Our week was perfect! We plan on returning in the fall.

Stunning mountain home
Even the teens agreed this was the best vacation home we have ever rented. The property is privately nettled in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Inside, we simply felt at home. Everything from the comfy sofas, to the record player and vinyl selection, to the kitchen and deck were just perfect. The master bedroom is stunning and the other two bedrooms were perfect. Simple, stylish, but above all, comfortable. We really enjoyed grilling on the deck and sitting by fire pit. Honestly, I'll be looking out for the next winter storm so I can can fly up, stock up on food and wine and just hang out in this stunning mountain home watching the snow fall outside the windows listening to Frank Sinatra. Thank you Jessica for every recommendation and for being a superb host.

The best home we have ever stayed in!
We have visited many places and stayed in many different homes, but this is without a doubt the best place we have ever rented. There is not a thing you will want for while you stay in this home. Comfy beds, wonderful views, toys, books, and
games. Alexa in upper and lower floors. The kitchen is fabulous - well-stocked, great for cooking, and even some essentials you may need to make dinner or breakfast. There are 2 full bathrooms, which is always nice when you have kiddos. Fire pit with a 360 view of the woods. Spacious deck where you can eat a meal or lounge on comfy outdoor furniture. And, a great view of the birds who visit the bird feeder directly outside the kitchen window. Lastly, a great central point for museums, hiking, dining, shopping, and seafood. We did not want to leave. :)

Perfect!
This property so exceeded our expectations; we could not have asked for a better place, a better time. The home is so clean, comfortable, attractive, and well-appointed. These hosts knock it out of the park. We can't wait to visit again!

Beautiful home away from home
My family and I had a wonderful week at this beautiful, wooded retreat!
The house was very clean, had lovely decor, and was nestled in the treetops, so you felt secluded even though stores and restaurants are conveniently located nearby.
The kitchen was very well equipped and my entire family very much enjoyed the wonderful book and music collections for kids and adults alike. There are also numerous indoor and outdoor games available, as well as a lovely firepit and dining area on the deck for cookouts.
Jessica was a terrific communicator and a thoughtful and attentive host. We can't wait to come back!
