Clean place, good location, friendly staff, good breakfast
If you like 80s style hotels, this is the place to go. In the end it does not really matter, as the place was clean and everything works fine. The Wlan is very slow, payment only by cash, card payment does not work ( which is an anachronism). The ventilation fan in the bathroom was definitely louder than 55dB, might need a replacement.
Breakfast choice was good, maybe add natural and unflavored Yogurt as well.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Moselkern. While maybe slightly older, it is still a nice hotel with clean rooms. Since we were on the 3rd Floor, it was nice that they have an elevator. The owner was very pleasant. She provided us with a table fan (helpful during this summer heat). Breakfast was very nice with a number of choices. The 2nd morning, since there were less guests, the owner made scrambled eggs for us. Moselkern is a nice quiet town, and it is very close to Burg Eltz, which we so wanted to see. I would definitely stay there again.
We did wish there were more power outlets in the room, but we got around that and were able to recharge all of our devices. There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

We were very kindly allowed to check in early because we were heading off to see Burg Eltz and needed to stow luggage. Lovely breakfast (not included). Rooms had all we needed. Handy elevator. Many restaurants were closed in town (it was a Monday) but our hostess referred us to places to eat. She also helped us get a taxi.
The listing on booking.com does list that the property takes cash only, but that info wasn’t in the confirmation email. Having that reminder would have helped.

You can see that somebody is making the best out of a 70ies hotel building. Everything was technically in good shape and super-duper clean. The owners couple is very friendly and the breakfast service was really great - just ask if you miss anything.
In the village itself were not many opportunities regarding restaurants or bars. Restaurant and sauna in the hotel were closed. Maybe still an effect from Corona closures. (We did not ask …)

Breakfast was OK. Friendly lady in charge.
Room too cold the first night. Every metal item you touched in the room felt cold. I guess they put the heating low to cut cost. Also, they accepted cash payments only. In 2022! Their excuses for that didn't make sense.

Good and quiet location.
If you want to be first to visit burg Eltz in the morining ( which I recommend ) , this is the right place to stay.
Breakfast served at the table was good and sufficient.
Very friendly staff.
the hotel is a bit outdated but everything is spotlessly clean
In the village are not many possibility to eat in the evening.
