Take in the spectacular views of Crescent Beach from your balcony. This up-to-date one bedroom one bath condo is on the second of four floors in one of our most requested rental complexes. This is a pet friendly vacation rental. There are plenty of amenities included to make your condo stay feel more like home. We have a stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, utensils, cookware, televisions, WiFi, Ironing Board, and more.
From your room, you’re less than 100 steps to the ocean, with the pool in between. There are beach area showers, so you can spray off that excess sugar white sand on your way back into your condo rental.

The view was lovely, the beach was lovely and the location was good. The condo was, however, not “up to date”. It was dated, felt old and worn out, smudges on most of the walls, couch smelled like dog and the towels smelled sour. The layout was also extremely awkward. The bedroom was not large enough for a king sized bed. My husband had to turn sideways and crab walk between the dresser and the foot of the bed to get to the other side of the room. Honestly, I felt a little claustrophobic and I never feel that way. Definitely wouldn’t rent this property again.

We had a great view. The owners need to repair and update the condo. The TV didn’t work in living room, living room furniture was very uncomfortable. We had trouble with shower curtain falling off the wall, so a new one was installed but it kept sliding down the wall. The refrigerator was leaking water from the freezer leaving water on the inside shelves.

The condominium building as a whole was nice - well kept. However, we felt the unit that we stayed in was a little on the dirty side and it had a few bugs. As others have said, it is very small but for the two of us, we navigated without a problem. The bed was extremely comfortable, the A/C worked wonderfully. I don't feel that the view could be any better than what it is. We ate on the balcony a few nights and it was great.

The unit is very small and tight for even 2 of us but can get by. For us didnt feel quite clean enough and felt it lacked in feeling comfortable to sit around. The air conditioning is two windows and One in bedroom was on the fritz. Must mess with it to get it to stay on. The cable took about three hours on the phone to get IT people from some company to find the right passwords to use internet and tv. We gave it a 4 star for the area and local eateries. The building itself is like the unit, a little ran down. We will go back to area. Would not use this building.

Stay at Crescent Beach
Condo was clean & nice. Perfect for 2 people. The view from the balcony was great! Loved sitting there. The pet walk area was small but we hardly met anyone there. It was very convenient to go from the pet walk to the beach by way of the public access. Plus a hose was provided to rinse our puppy. We were very satisfied & give the condo a 5 star rating!

1st St Augustine Trip
We enjoyed our stay. Unit was clean and well maintained. Begging on the second floor made it very easy to take the doodle to the beach. The pet potty area was VERY small. Some owners did not clean up after their pet which was unfortunate. We would definitely stay again if opportunity arises.

April 2022 Week Vacation Pros & Cons
We stayed 7 days & wanted to share Pros & Cons from our trip. PROS: Conveniently located on beach. Nice ocean view from 2nd fl balcony. Private boardwalk for beach access. There’s a public beach access next door too. There’s a small grassy area designated for pets behind lobby. Very pet friendly town. Beach was clean & not crowded. We used a local company to rent/setup chairs & umbrella everyday & that was convenient. Drive to downtown St. Augustine only took 20-30 mins. The master mattress was comfortable. CONS: The AC unit in the bedroom didn’t work upon arrival. We immediately notified property mgr, but issue couldn’t be addressed until next day. We bought a box fan, but still uncomfortably hot. The AC unit was replaced the next day, but shortly after the ceiling fan & light in the master BRm quit working. We notified property mgr, but issue couldn’t be addressed until next day. Again, another uncomfortably hot night. We followed up next day regarding ceiling fan & light & were informed this actually couldn’t be repaired during our stay. Property Mngmnt brought us a box fan, but unfortunately that didn’t solve the light issue. The bath & hand towels were dingy so we had to buy our own towels for the wk. The condos are older & the room smelled musty. The couch had a foul odor. We covered the couch w/ a blanket & bought disinfectant & fabric spray to try & combat the odor. Condo is smaller than appears in pics. The bathroom & sink are very small. Overall, we would not stay here again. We had issues from the moment we arrived & sadly this was not a relaxing vacation for us. Between the odor & temperature, we didn’t sleep well for a week. It felt more like camping than being in a condo due to the musty smell, small bath, lack of light, temperature & box fans. It was cramped for 2 adults & 1 dog. It says it accommodates 4 people, but I don’t see how that’s possible & I wouldn’t have wanted to sleep on the couch bed bc of the odor. We were also unhappy maintenance entered our room without notifying us. We were told we didn’t need to be there for the AC unit repair, but we notified property mngmnt we preferred to be present due to valuables & our dog. It made us uncomfortable to find out maintenance still entered our room while we were away & didn’t call first. St. Augustine was was wonderful, food was fantastic everywhere, & we appreciated quick response from property mngmnt, but overall we didn’t have a positive experience & didn’t enjoy our stay.

Wonderful time at the beach
The property was well kept, clean, quiet, and we had a wonderful 2 week vacation in St. Augustine. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. Enjoyed walking on the beach at sunrise and sunset.
The only disruption we had was that we couldn't use the pool for one week because of construction going on in the units above the pool area, but they had let us know that the week before our trip.
Marty was able to add an extra day at the end of our stay at the last minute for us after we had to adjust our travel plans due to weather issues on our travel route back home.
Overall we really enjoyed our trip.

Great view, great location
Great view, Great location, clean, convenient, had everything we needed except one issue. The mattress in the bedroom was fine for a child, but it was like sleeping in a hammock for a grown adult. I slept diagonal on the pullout sofa instead, which was not great, but better than the bed. Otherwise we loved our stay!

Great View but needs some maintenance
The location and oceanfront view was very nice as pictured on VRBO... BUT... we were a little surprised at how small the condo actually was and it did seem to need some maintenance 1. the bathroom doorknob came off on day one the first time we used it 2. the window unit air conditioner in living room was loud and you could not enjoy conversation and the nice view from the balcony for the noise 3. the same with the bedroom, very noisy 4. all the burners on the stove did not work 4. the toilet started to not want to flush on the day we were leaving but seemed to come back to life with some coaxing 5. No dishwasher - I missed that one - no biggie if you don’t mind doing dishes on your vacation.

I would strongly advise the owner of the Beachers Lodge condo #232 to go and do a deep clean of the condo. It was so bad that we couldn't stay there the full amount of time that we had booked it for. The bathroom was atrocious, my wife had to clean the shower before we could even get a shower due to mold and mildew. The shower curtain had mold growing on it, which could easily be replaced for cheap by buying a new one from the dollar general right down the road. The handle for the stopper in the bathroom sink was bent. Then we discovered an awful odor on the balcony of the condo when the air conditioner turned on; when we looked at the A.C. unit we discovered that there was mold and mildew on the vents of the A.C. unit. I understand that being in a humid climate that there will be a little mold and mildew, but if it was cleaned it would not put off a strong odor throughout the condo. Also there is several spots that need to be re-caulked (throughout the bathroom and the kitchen), and that doesn’t cost but $6 to buy a tube of caulk from Home Depot. I assumed that everything would be extra clean at this time due to covid, but I was very wrong. I strongly advise against anyone renting out this condo.

Great location with some minor inconveniences
The condo itself was generally in solid shape, although the towel bar in the bathroom was loose and kept falling down, and the patio door was so difficult to open that it was almost unsafe to be outside with the door closed (there is only a finger well and not a handle on the outside of the door, making it hard to open from there). Beacher's Lodge is located right by the public beach access, and as the only multi-unit location with single-family homes on all sides, it becomes the one part of the beach that gets *extremely* crowded on weekends while it's almost deserted a half-mile down the beach in either direction. I'm not a fan of drive-on beaches, so it was a bit disappointing dealing with vehicle traffic, but otherwise the location is quite beautiful.
