Stay great, hotel great , processes poor. Phone sytem very very poor. Staff great

Hotel is good

The hotel and booking.com stuffed me around long enough until i couldn't cancel the first night. Each kept saying the other had to do until it was too late. The other annoying thing is some staff have real French accent and a zillion fake French accents all to form part of the "Bonjour" experience. When you call the hotel from outside or even room service, the phones are turned down so low or they are using headsets and with a fake accent on the line you are left trying to guess every third word to work out what the person is saying. You are a service provider. Get the basics right. Things like I would like a grilled ham and cheese sandwich., No special mustard or sauce, no special French cheese, not a croc monsieur just a ham and cheese toasty. Happy to pay $30 dollars but for the stupid prices give me something that is edible at 1am, You have bread cheese and ham all from the breakfast buffet and for $599 per night i'm guessing someone in the building has made a ham and cheese toasty before. That would be service. I wasn't asking for a souffle or anything difficult that needed unique ingredients

Nice short staycation. Comfortable and pleasant.

Nice rooms, good size, friendly attentive staff

Weird bathroom setup in the rooms. Open plan with bath in middle of room and panels/walls you pull closed to give some semblance of privacy. Have to slide these walls open to access the toilet and shower. In middle of night need to slide the wall fully open as the bath is in the way to getting inside the “bathroom”. Could be an issue for older people.

Great Stay

Great location and very friendly staff, amazing rooms and the BEST VIEWS. Loved the stay.

Request for a seperate bed for the room as we were 2 mates… but wasn’t provided upon request. Valet Car park couldn’t fit our car in due to height of our car being just little high. Could have done by accomodating car somewhere for us.

Nice hotel in a good location

The room was a large corner room on the 11th floor with supposedly view of city and sea - I asked for a quiet room- I actually wished I asked a quiet room on a higher floor

I read the reviews about the proximity to the night club district - it’s true even in a quiet room on the 11th floor the club’s are very noisy on the weekends Also - the mini bar is super expensive and the in room dining menu is extremely limited and it closes at 10:30pm - very disappointing for a new 5 star hotel in a major capital Australian city

11 out of 10 customer service , their staff is their asset

Customer service is superb, out of the 6 hotels that we've been to, I must say that Sofitel's staff is 11 out of 10. They are not just there to serve , but rather to serve and give you satisfaction to the highest level , the smiles of the staff, especially the asian staff brightens, not just us but everyone, in the dining area, the room attendants will not just say their usual line "is there anything" but "is there anything else we can help you with an ear to ear smile, and ends the meeting not just with "your welcome maam" but instead "please let us know if there is qnything else you need ma'am, if you need this this..." you can feel that they love what they're doing, you can feel that they are serving with love.

No bathtub, a bit pricey compared to other hotels, with the price we paid for normally in other hotels there would be a bathtub in the room.

Ein sehr guter Platz, um Adelaide zu genießen

Am Rande der Innenstadt gelegen, alle wesentlichen Ziele in der Stadt - von Zoo bis zur Markthalle, von der Rennbahn bis zum Australischen Weininstitut - ziemlich schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. rotz dieser zentralen lage kaum Straßenlärm zu hören - wir wohnten im 22. Stock, toller Ausblick. Gutes Frühstück, reiche Auswahl von Fleisch bis Obst. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal an Rezeption, im Restaurant und bei den Hilfsdiensten.

Nicht ganz optimale Gründlichkeit des Reinigungspersonals - gibts dort Staubsauger?

Problem was pool wasn't open at 6 am . I went to ask staff to be open on 2 occasions . iPad didn't work to have room service when I call reception they bring me menu 1 hrs later . They wake me up at 9 pm asking me do i wont anything from menu. They had my room very high so I ask to be transferred on lover level. They charged me same price as I had lunch witch I did not. Breakfast didn't had varieties just basic items that you will find in 3 stars hotels, also I told them prior to my arrival about my dietary requirement. In the morning I was waiting for my spatial bread to arrive for 10 2 times they cook my eggs and still didn't make them right minutes . No value for money I will never come back to this place and wont recommend this place to nobody. they are rip offs.
