The Blue Heron… a newly remodeled charming studio apartment in the historic fishing village of Cortez. Minutes to beaches, restaurants, shopping, and adventure! Many amenities within walking distance. Also many modes of free public transportation. Apartment is completely self-contained with a private entrance, outside lounge area, and parking at the door. Walk to the beach , shopping, convenient store. Bike and golf cart rentals along with bait shops and jet ski , kayaking, boat rentals and fishing charters.

Amazing location, small and quaint. Close to the beach, the bed is super comfy. I would definitely stay here again. A/C a little noisy but I’m always sensitive to sounds but my boyfriend agreed it was a little loud but not anything bad for an average guest I’m sure.

This is our fourth year staying here. Hazel is a wonderful hostess!! The room is nicely furnished, very clean, and private. Hazel provides complimentary coffee, water, sodas, half-and-half, microwave popcorn, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. Great restaurants are within walking and biking distance and the beach is across the bridge. I enjoy having my coffee in the cozy outdoor seating area.

The host was very accommodating with Coffee, Sodas, Popcorn, Creamer. Easy excess to the beach, amazingly good places to eat. The accommodations are great for 2 people nice clean room. We made a couple of cat friend while there. We will definitely book there again. Thank You to the host Hazel.

What a beautiful area and I feel like we struck gold with this room. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. All the little details were amazing....there were water, sodas and coffee creamer waiting for us in the refrigerator, the space was well put together. There was a sitting area outside as well. This was the perfect environment to relax in and curl up with a good book or a movie. We were fortunate enough to meet our host Hazel. What a lovely lady. This room is close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Perfect little getaway! thank you Hazel.

As soon as we stepped into the unit we smiled. It was bright and clean. Then it got better with all the thoughtful amenities from our host. A new bag of coffee and a full carton of half & half, cold bottled water and soft drinks. Plenty of towels, body wash,nice shampoo and conditioner.
A beach bag with towels and a cooler were also provided, which we greatly appreciated. There were a lot of thoughtful touches. The neighborhood was quiet and there were coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance.

This is a lovely, nicely decorated, clean room.
It is very close to the bridge that takes you over to Anna Marie. Located in nice neighborhood and has a great outside area to enjoy your morning coffee. It is right up from tylers ice cream and the bakery!

It fit our needs for a 3 night stay and it was very clean. We appreciated the coffee and creamer, water bottles and sodas and the popcorn! I would have liked a better quality shampoo and body wash (it was a brand sold at Dollar Tree) and I didn't see hair conditioner there. A dish towel and cloth for the kitchenette would be helpful too. The mattress was fine for the few nights stay but probably needs replacing. Overall we enjoyed this small space and the cute cats that hung outside. The seating area outside was beautiful with the palms and nice to have a little table and chairs to relax on. The location was perfect to walk to the beach and to restaurants and stores. The recommendations sheet left was very helpful too.
We would definitely return here for a get away again. The host was very nice and friendly.

The property was perfect for me! It was clean, nicely appointed and so close to Bradenton Beach. The unit was clean, there was coffee, creamer and water bottles in the fridge!

Spent 3 nights in this studio apartment with my wife. Extremely clean and functional, close to everything we wanted to do. It was high season, getting around was a little slow, but traffic moved. Well stocked with water, drinks, snacks and delicious Hawaiian coffee. Loved the private outside area with 2 chairs and a table. Never saw the hosts, but I'm sure I'd like to be their neighbors. Would definitely stay there again and again and again.

The guest cottage is exactly as described, if not cuter in person. The owners had left out a nice bag of ground coffee and put creamer in the fridge, along with some waters and soda. The location was great and near many of the great restaurants of AMI. Would 100 % stay here again!

You will not be disappointed booking this space. It was perfect for our 4-night stay. It is a small space, but we never once felt like we needed more space. The place had everything we needed, but the real star of the show was the location. In just 5 minutes, you can be over the bridge in the heart of Anna Maria Island near the beach, restaurants, and Bridge Street. Would highly recommend renting a golfcart or Moke two doors down at Beach'N Rides to get around the area. Another key highlight was the adorable coffee shop located just across the street (The Fox Mercantile). We stopped in here 3 of the 4 mornings we were there - it is a beautiful space to start your day, have a cup of coffee, and wander around their store. They are closed on Sundays, but if you're looking for another adorable coffee shop to hit up, would highly recommend North Shore Cafe on the other end of Anna Maria Island. It's a bit of a jaunt, but well worth it. Other food favorites included Star Fish Co, Tyler's homemade ice cream (both nearby), and the Ugly Grouper (on the island). 10/10 recommend!

Such a cute little place. It is a converted garage but you would not know it. Outside you have a private sitting area with beautiful palm trees. Inside is very cozy and decorated warmly. Everything you need for your stay. 2 driveways away is a convenience store.

Very clean and cozy! Perfect location to get to the beach quickly. We enjoyed being able to walk across the street for coffee and other nearby restaurants. We loved that the unit had all the beach gear: chairs, towels, beach bag and cooler.

We had a great stay while we were in Anna Maria Island. The location was perfect, the place was spotless and Hazel was quick to respond with any question we asked. She definitely went above and beyond providing amenities that were very appreciated. Not only did she have coffee for us to enjoy but she left us a new half and half ti use. Thank you Hazel!

This was a great spot for our first time in the area! Quaint, little place in a quiet neighborhood with friendly people. A quick drive over the bridge gets you to AMI, some entertainment, and beaches. Head east and you can check out Bradenton Flea Market and some other fun local spots inland. We really enjoyed the shops right there in Cortez as well. Coffee shop w/ patio is literally steps away from the VRBO and we walked across to the Star Fish Co for delish mahi mahi sandwiches.
Our place had everything we needed. Very clean and cozy with a comfortable bed and good size fridge. Hazel was so thoughtful in everything provided, from coffee and tupperwares in the kitchenette to the beach supplies. Seriously no complaints. Such a beautiful area!

This property was very clean, well stocked, and just as described. The check in process went very smoothly. There were nice touches like complimentary popcorn, drinks, and coffee supplies. It was in a quiet location, but also close to the island - just a short drive to the island beaches and restaurants. We would happily stay here again!

Perfect location, shower/bathroom facility small but functional, bed topper a bit too soft. Nice touch with beach towels, cooler, cold water, sodas, pop corn, coffee, cream! Very clean and plenty of paper supplies and extra towels. It would be nice to have had a bit more information regarding proximity of beaches. Great vacation!
