We were really happy overall with our stay! Location worked well for us for hiking, sightseeing and not a bad distance from Burlington or Stowe. We got used to those chicanes and hairpin turns, and honestly, the area was just stunning. Proximity is within several hundred feet of two other homes (one of which is a shared lane), but we were in and out and no concerns for privacy. The house was supplied with all the essentials, and when I checked to see if i was overlooking coffee filters somewhere, our host was there with them in literally 12 minutes!!! That was above and beyond, and I could have easily grabbed them from the store, but it was appreciated! Everything was clean, which is big for me. We even enjoyed pacake mix and a small maple syrup that they provided. They even provided some dog waste bags for our 4 legged family member. Very happy with our stay! She wasupfrint with some potential internet concerns following some storms, but issue was resolved prior to arrival. Very responsive to any communication!

The property was exactly as advertised and even more! It was extremely clean, honestly the house looked brand new, and it was just comfortable. It felt homey and welcoming, very bright and airy. All beds were super comfy, with all sheets and towels hotel like. We used the gas fireplace for fun a couple nights, and the ACs in all bedrooms worked beautifully, cooking down the whole house easily. The half wraparound deck was awesome and was so nice sitting out there. 7-10 minutes to center of Jeffersonville (Cupboard deli go to for creemees and breakfast and donuts), 2 minutes to Lot Six Brewing (they’re new and amazing) and 20 to Stowe.
A couple of notes that aren’t negatives but others may find useful: property is really nice, beautiful lawn that was mowed and we played games in, but there are neighbors close by. One right behind and one to the side. The house is on a private road which is basically just a driveway with this house first about 100 ft from Route 108 and the other house a couple hundred feet up the small hill. Only saw a couple people twice, they didn’t seem to have animals. Just want to note that it’s not fenced or anything and it’s harder walking a dog if you bring one (my dad, against our wishes lol, walked her on 108; there’s no sidewalk but a fairly decent shoulder but…). However, four minutes up the road are GREAT walking trails and swimming areas. Again, not a negative and as a family that likes to be away from others we LOVED it here so much.

Nice property very clean in good location. The only down side was the internet not working while we were there. Good communication with the host.

The house is a nice cabin, well equipped and comfortable. Great to have a washer dryer! Comfy front porch! Closer to Mountain Rd than we realized - road noise is loud during the day but fine at night. The surrounding area is full of great hikes and swimming holes. We unfortunately didn’t have internet service for the entire week. The owner was trying her best to get it fixed but it never happened - not her fault, but definitely put a damper on our trip. We had to go into town for WiFi for a couple of Zoom meetings.

We were two small families (2 couples with 1 child each) and the cabin was a great size for us. The living room had space for everyone to sit together, which was really nice, and we loved the open kitchen/living room design. The knives were also much nicer and sharper than usual in a VRBO, and overall the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in.

Maude was a great host and communicated all the rentals details very clear. Location was convenient for Smugglers Notch skiing. Cabin was really great!!

I’m not happy with the location. Owner owner didn’t mention that the road that brings you to stove would be closed during winter times and when you run 15 minutes and it took us 55 minutes to go all the way around to stow a lot of our things had to be canceled because of the length of this trip

Perfect stay for 4 adults and 2 kids - and our small dog! Thank you to our host - the home was comfortable and clean - and had a lovely gas fireplace and smart TV. And the host provided great directions plus a welcome gift of Vermont maple syrup and pancake mix.

The little cabin was adorable! It was clean, stocked and very comfortable. Located in a fantastic area and even though it was right off the highway, we felt the setting was secluded enough to still really enjoy the woods and hear the stream.
We did have a hot water heater issue in that there was no hot water one morning when we woke up. However, this is a compliment to the owners because when I contacted them, they were over with a handyman to fix it within an hour along with more dishwasher detergent as I mentioned there was none. It was fixed almost immediately.
The third bedroom, the one with two twin beds, is very tiny and really only conducive to two kids. Really too small, and no place to put bags, with two adults.
We all loved it and agreed that a nice touch would be some firewood provided for the outdoor fire pit. We went and bought some and scrounged around for some starter wood. Not necessary, of course, but we would have loved it.

This home was very clean, comfortable and close to hiking trails. Maude was very responsive to a minor plumbing problem which was fixed quickly. The only thing I wish I realized was how close to the road the house is.

My family and I loved the location and found lots of great hiking trails within less than 30 minutes of the cabin. Getting to Stowe was an easy, beautiful ride through the Notch. Maude was a great host--very quick to answer any questions we had, both before booking and after check-in. The cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty of room for a family of 4. The only suggestion I would make is that if you are a light sleeper and will be staying in the upstairs bedroom, bring earplugs and a mask as there is a boiler in the room that runs intermittently throughout the night, the A/C is quite loud, and there are skylights so the room gets very bright.

This probably is the most beautiful cabin I have ever seen. The host Maude was wonderful. The communication with her up until we stayed there was wonderful. Our first day there we had trouble with the upstairs toilet and Maude got someone there to fix it right away. There have been many more pictures added to the sight that were not there when we rented and are some of tbe most beautiful pictures inside the cabin with the balcony scene, smart TV ect. I packed a lot of extras as I didn 't know what to expect like dish soap, laundry and dish washer soap etc etc ect. The cabin had it all. Now I've told you the positives for a healthy young person but I am a 76 year old woman with disabilities and am on a walker. I was not able to get my walker through the bedroom door or bathroom door and got my husband up 3 times a night to take me to the bathroom. There was no railing on the steps leading into the cabin so my husband and sons lifted me on and off the porch. Even a railing would have been an improvement. If you are planning on taking your disable Mother there I would not advise it

Nice cabin with updated appliances and a great porch. Each bedroom had it's own AC unit. Appreciated the dishwasher and full-size washer/dryer. Located on a busier road. Drive to things and activities around Stowe took a little longer than anticipated. Very close to Smuggler's Notch ski area. Overall was a great stay.

Charming, comfortable, conveniently located & well-stocked. The windows & windowsills need a good washing. Outside photos make it look like it's private, which it isn't. Surrounded by homes & a busy highway.

This cabin is equipped well with linens and kitchen needs; comfortable living room seating (sectional) and mattresses; open living space also brings in the sunlight (when sun is shining). It is closely located to Smuggler's Notch and a tasty restuarant/pub is minutes away too (Brewster River). We enjoyed ourselves emmensely.

This cabin is perfect. It has everything you could possibly need and is fabulously located right near Smugglers Notch. We were able to tour around Vermont easily from this location and were treated to the most stunning views no matter what direction we drove! The wifi worked fabulously, the kitchen is well stocked, and our doggos had a blast. The hosts are lovely, and there for anything you need but are never imposing. I would highly recommend you book this place!

Cozy Log Cabin near Smuggs
Three bedroom house/log cabin down road from Smugglers Notch. Served as a base for a wedding at The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch.
Clean, comfy, bright. Loved it.

Cute cabin close to Smugglers Notch
We just finished a fun weeklong stay at the house for our kids’ first ski trip. The house was very clean, well equipped for a family’s needs, a great location for accessing both the mountain and town, and has a nice little yard. Communicating with Maude the host was easy and she was very helpful. We would return.

Absolutely fantastic!
The cabin is very well kept and comfortable. We had four adults who were skiing all week. The cabin is a very short drive to Smugglers Notch and also close to some good restaurants. The cabin is not close to Stowe Mountain when the road is closed for the winter but the better skiing is at Smugglers. Jeffersonville is a small town but they had everything we needed. As for the cabin, no problems at all. Nice fireplace, three nice bedrooms, small but well designed kitchen with everything you will need other than food. Wi-Fi is good. Finally, Maude, the owner is very nice and very helpful. I would definitely do it all again despite the fact that we are pretty far away in North Carolina!

Cozy Stay
This was a great stay near! The location was easy to find and easy to check in. The home was perfectly equipped with everything we needed including a well stocked Kitchen! Unfortunately, the road down to Stowe was closed for the season so what we thought was a 10-15 minute drive to Stowe was actually 55 minutes around to get there. However, we were just unaware of that road closure originally and still very much enjoyed the stay. The road to get around to Stowe was still a nice drive. Overall, highly recommend this cozy spot! We loved the fireplace.

This cabin was a perfect spot for some summer fun in Vermont!
We had a great stay at the cabin in August. The proximity to multiple bike paths, hiking, parks and shopping/restaurants made for a great time. Vermont is lovely! Maude was a great host and everything about our stay was easy!

Live this cabin.
This was my first vrbo experience. I have to say it was a great one. It was easy to book. The owner was very pleasant and responded in a very quick manner. We were so excited to go skiing at Smugglers. It was my first time in the area. Its so beautiful. The cabin fits 6 people perfectly. The only thing that would be nice is a better mirror in the upstairs bathroom for us ladies. I did use the long dressing mirror though so that was ok. It was super clean and comfortable. Maybe a hot tub Maude ha ha? We will be back.
Take care

Beautiful and cozy
The cabin is beautiful and the owners provided a few things we forgot. It was clean and located off a very handy road that leads straight thru Smuggler’s botch past so many trail heads only minutes up and thru the beautiful mountains.
I would love to rent it again in the future!!!
