Beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The apartment has a lot of character. Well situated for town and the castle but very quiet at night. Easy to park nearby.
Tumble dryer not working. As we had been travelling quite a while before this rental, we had a few loads of laundry to do. The owner was very helpful and did offer to take the wet laundry and dry it for us. She also provided a drying rack.

Very interesting use of a historic building making the stay somewhat entertaining! Excellent location for the centre of the town.
Given the constraints of the building - an old jail - space is not something to expect but it is comfortable enough. If more than a couple staying ie using the fold out bed, they would need to use the bathroom off the double bedroom. We didn’t mind at all.

The location was great for the town. The shower was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped. The whole apartment was very clean. Overall we would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.
Lighting was too dim. Overhead lights would be good or some brighter lights in the lounge and bedroom. The sofa in the lounge was a little low and soft for us.

Great flat in a great location.
Might be dark in dull weather.

The property was in such a location that it was part of the old prison, which added character to the property.
And The History To The Property was Amazing To Read About as well.
To be honest Nothing lovely apartment and I love the little town pubs and restaurants are all friendly and the food was fantastic

No complaints.

Location extremely convenient in the middle of town. Apartment finished to a high standard. Very helpful host. Having WiFi was a bonus, as it wasn't mentioned in the booking information.
There was no view from the apartment, but having said that, there is nothing that could be done about it, as it's due to the location.

The property was clean and tidy upon arrival.
Everything was kept to high standards and we didn’t need to contact the owner for anything as all information was provided. Very well located. Highly recommended.

The location is ideal. Close to restaurants, shops and tourist walks. Kirstin is the host and she was very helpful and friendly. She also let us know that the Christmas light switch-on was the night we arrived, so that made for a fun memory. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, even with how cold the weather was and it being a period property. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, plates and cutlery. I would definitely book again in a heartbeat.
Nothing.

We loved everything about this gorgeous apartment. The location could not be better and the home itself is just perfect. Everything is such a high quality and we had everything we needed for a fantastic four-night stay. Kirstin is also fab - really clear and friendly communication and lots of recommendations. Can't recommend highly enough!

The apartment is attractive, comfortable and tastefully decorated, retaining its quirkiness but with modern additions like a decent shower room and free wi-fi. The location is perfect - places to eat and things to see are within easy walking distance - and the hosts made it clear that they were on hand if we needed anything.
Absolutely nothing - you just need to be aware that the stone stairs (clearly pictured) might not be for everyone and that the bed is a standard double because the room isn't wide enough for a king size.

The location is ideal - attached to the jail and very central. It’s beautifully decorated and has nice xtra touches like shampoo, body wash. Kirstin was so helpful throughout booking.

Excellent location for activities and meals in the town. Our host was very responsive to our questions and needs
Parking, there was no assigned space.

.Fantastic location, really quirky apartment. The owner was very kind and allowed early access. Facilities are good and really comfortable living area. Great extras on hand such as washing machine, ironing facilities, fully functional kitchen. I would definitely recommend.
Personal choice, but no Wi-Fi was difficult when trying to stay in touch with the family. Also insufficient hanging space for clothes and suitcases. Perfect if only a 2 day visit, but 4 days for 2 people was a squash. Also had to buy a tea towel as not one provided.

This is an excellent apartment in the centre of Inverary, on the shore of the lock adjacent to the jail. Check-in instructions were excellent, there is good parking almost at the door. The apartment consists of a living room and bedroom converted from two old cells, an excellent modern bathroom which allegedly served as the gallows previously, and a small but well-equipped kitchen.
Fitting, furnishings and artworks are excellent, very tasteful.
Highly Recommended.
Nothing could be better for us as a couple, it was perfect and well-priced. There is an old internal stone staircase leading to the apartment which is worn stone - it is an excellent feature but might not suit elderly people or those with mobility issues. That's not a criticism in any way shape or form, just information to bear in mind.

The apartment was wonderfully quiet, well equipped and in a great location. We really appreciated the uniqueness of this property.
Kirstin was a great communicator before and during our stay.
We wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

From the moment we arrived I was so in awe of the character of this apartment. I love that the bedroom and the lounge are old cells. It was so cosy, comfortable, immaculate and homely from the outset. Kirstin is amazing. She was so communicative and on our first night she dropped off some books and games for my son to borrow from her son. Which was so unexpected and such a lovely gesture. The apartment couldn’t be any better placed for location. Right in the heart of Inveraray where you want to be. It was so quiet and we genuinely felt so refreshed and relaxed. I have absolutely zero faults with this apartment. We had all that we needed and more and would recommend to everyone I know. Thank you Kirstin for letting us stay.

Location was excellent with free nearby parking. Kirstin was very welcoming, giving timely advice about what was going on in the area. The apartment was well equipped with extras just in case you forgot something. It was a lovely stay, we would recommend!
All in all this was an incredibly well equipped apartment with everything you would need for a stay! The only suggestion we have is maybe the inclusion of a chopping board for meat and some surface spray for the kitchen.

The apartment was newly renovated so really amazing and very clean. It was a lovely space to stay for a holiday and located in the heart of the village. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and stay here again.
As it’s an old building the bathroom was quite cold (rest of the place was warm due to the new heaters) but the amazing shower made up for it.
