About this apartment rental
The perfect location for exploring the Lowcountry. We are located in a small, gated community. Only minutes to MRCD so the perfect choice for graduation families. Convenient to Port Royal, Sands Beach, Boardwalk, Cypress Wetlands and historic downtown Beaufort. Hunting Island State Park Beach is approximately a 30 minute drive.
This space is conveniently located on the ground floor. Therefore, you may on occasion hear people above. The condo includes a well equipped kitchen. We've tried to think of everything our guests might need to prepare meals. Even a large stock pot for shrimp or crab boils and a small charcoal grill on the patio. For coffee drinkers, a coffee maker or a pour over and a coffee grinder are provided. The relaxing patio is perfect for enjoying the gorgeous sun rise or an evening glass of wine.
There is a TV in both the living room and bedroom with access to Netflix and YouTubeTV, which provides 85+ channels. Beaufort also has one of the last Drive in theaters if you would rather go out.
The only bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with a memory foam mattress. There is also a pull out sofa bed in the living room. A laundry room with stack washer and dryer for your convenience.
Food Lion is located across the street, other grocery stores are within a few miles. Port Royal has a Farmers Market every Saturday morning, year round.
If you don't want to cook, you'll have no problem taking advantage of the variety of restaurants located within a few miles in Beaufort and Port Royal. From fine dining, fast food, or a seafood meal while watching the sunset over the water, our area has it all.
For enjoying the lowcountry outdoors, the 13.6 mile Spanish Moss Trail can be accessed nearby for walking or biking. Port Royal Sands boardwalk is the perfect place to fish or try your luck at crabbing. (there is no place to fish at the condo) Hunting Island State Park is South Carolina's most popular state park. It is approximately a 30 minute scenic drive.
Beaufort is South Carolina's second oldest city. Antebellum homes, ancient live oak trees draped in Spanish Moss, historic churches and ruins, not to mention the rich Gullah Geechee history and culture, are only the beginning. You will find many ways to explore, tours by carriage, golf cart, walking tours or by water. And don't forget the shopping.
NOTE:
Due to safety concerns we are unable to accept children. Pets are not allowed.
NO ACCESS - the community next door called the Village at Battery Creek is OFF LIMITS to guests. This includes the pool, the firepit, the dock and common areas. Please respect this rule as we don't want to disturb the owners.
The marina spaces are private and not available. There is limited boat parking space available on a first come reservation only basis. The cost is $40 per night, with a 7 night limit. A public boat ramp is located next door.

Fully stocked kitchen and bath!! More than enough paper towels, toliet paper, coffee and filters, trash bags etc. They thought of the small stuff! 😊 And very clean! The refrigerator/freezer is a bit on the small side but was plenty big enough for my husband and I. Be aware the coffee maker only makes 1 cup at a time but the cups are big! 12 oz I believe. The bed was very comfortable as well! We got a good nights sleep! The water pressure in the shower was amazing! We did not see a hot tub so not sure why that was listed under amenities. Very nice view over the water! We even caught glimpses of some dolphins! The back patio is only semi private though. You can see the neighbors on each side of you. It is very close to the sands beach, cypress wetlands and port royal farmers market which we visited all 3 and had an amazing time!

Recommend a permanent note on front door regarding lock. Possibly consider handrail in shower for safety. We washed 2 towels and washcloths, I thought the closet door in bathroom was locked as it had a keypad. It was very clean and convenient to Marine base. Highly recommend!!!

This condo had everything needed, but the furnishings are a bit dated, especially the bedroom. The bed linens were very old, thin, and wrinkled. At first I could not tell if they had even been replaced from previous renter- and they were in fact the oldest thinnest sheets I have slept on in recent memory. There was no blanket on the bed and an old- and I mean old thin throw or small sheet blanket was left on the end of the bed. I brought my car blanket in and used it as well as my car pillow. I could not find any fresh sheets in a pantry or closet so I made due. The bedroom itself was uninviting and reminded me of a dorm room. The bed is a platform bed and low to the ground which made it difficult getting in and out.
The bathroom was fine with plenty of towels although I brought my
own to use. Again, the fixtures were dated ( original maybe) but clean. The commode is not standard height for today, but it was clean and worked fine.
The kitchen was just fine and the Keurig coffee machine greatly appreciated. The living area was adequate, with a couch and a big chair. There is a slider that opens to a porch which is nice with a good view of battery creek. The view faces east, and there was no blind in place to block the sun, just a thin sheer drape which made sitting on the couch to see out or watch tv difficult. The tv worked pretty well but it kept losing the wifi mid program and the audio track would lag the video- they have You Tube tv which enabled live viewing and some local channels. I covered the couch with a sheet that I brought from home- personal preference- and because I did not care for the bed spent a cpl nights out there- it was comfortable.
The final thing a visitor might need to know is that the parking for this condo is not anywhere near the door. I could find NO handicapped spots at all, nor was there anywhere one could pull up to for unloading the car, groceries etc without having to pull into another unit’s numbered spot. That was very difficult for me. The main gate to the property was wide open the entire time I was there, and in fact the sensors seemed to be taped over -
I will say that the owners were great- responsive, and made it easy to get checked in. They were willing to respond to questions and that was appreciated. These are older condos, so there is some upstairs noise as a permanent resident does live directly above this unit.**hesitated to review- email kept asking- Keep the view, update the condo!

A great, cozy, calm experience!
This is a fantastic unit to get away to. Its a one bedroom unit, that feels bigger than it is, and has a great view of the water. Its in a very quiet community, and is super peaceful.
I live in the area, but rented this as a staycation, and I am definitely not disappointed! Its right in the middle of everything, so you're far away enough that you can relax, but also close enough that you can visit pretty much anywhere in beaufort.
I will definitely be back again!
