Next to a Buffalo Grill restaurant
understaffed, reception desk only opens at 5pm, no staff at night. There is only one man doing everything (when he is present)
Location without any charm at all in the middle of a business zone.

Perfect location for my meeting the next day. Friendly receptionist, reasonably clean room. Quiet. The bed was perfect. No problem that I brought my dog along. A great asset is the location of a Steak and a fastfood restaurant next door.
I should have asked for the WiFi code because it was not given automatically. I didn’t really trust the available open network. The bathroom area is small and getting a bit old. Clean enough but it is beginning to show.

I used it for my last stop before catching a ferry from Calais , it’s good for one or two nights, it is what it is, it’s two hours from Calais close to get on the road but can’t here the traffic so nice and quiet, plenty of parking and close to hotel, self check in is easy, hotel rooms are clean tidy with a really comfortable bed, bathroom was clean tidy had a good shower, breakfast was ok, a few restaurants close by, petrol station right there to fill up before you get on the road, would stay again as it does the job
Breakfast was not a lot of choice, but ok, breakfast area had some broken windows and glass panels on roof which looked a bit messy and untidy giving a bad look to the place,

Stayed there a few times very happy with the hotel
Breakfast is very basic. No tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

The location, the help offered by the staff.
The room as good and clean as expected.
Very good breakfast : a lot of choice and a very good coffee.
Our noisy neighbors. The shower and the toilet which were too noisy.

Booked during lockdown in France, staff was kind and accommodating in order to enable customers to get fed in the evening and morning. Facilities were clean and rooms not big but comfortable.

The Akena is a very clean functional hotel with the business traveller in mind. We were cycling from London to Italy it it was on our route. It was the 3rd time I have stayed here by bike, so I knew what to expect. It is just off a very busy road, with a Buffalo restauarant and MacDonalds next door all on the edge of an industrial estate. Very clean with everything well maintained. Good bike storage. Due to Covid, I suspect, a dissapointing breakfast but okay. I would stay here again.
This is not a typically French hotel on a pretty village bt perfect for what we needed
