The property was centrally located and very close to the beach and rodeo, which our kids loved!

We stayed for 7 nights and we enjoyed our stay. Bathroom was snug for 5 of us but we made it work. Wonderful three season porch to enjoy and everything you need to feel at home. Nice neighborhood, we could walk our dog daily and felt safe. We would recommend this cottage to a family.

My family – my husband, myself, and our three teenage boys – stayed four nights in this beautiful property. It had everything we needed to have a relaxing getaway. It was extremely clean and well stocked - there was propane in the grill and firewood when we arrived. You can tell this property is owned by someone who really cares about it. It is decorated really cute and comes with the use of games and a smart TV. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies that we needed including dishwashing supplies. All we had to bring were groceries and pantry items. there is a fire pit that has the most beautiful view at night. We are so grateful that we got to experience it. Lake Luzerne is so pretty and we enjoyed our time on the beach. The property comes with two kayaks that we also enjoyed using while we stayed. We also went to Six Flags Lake George, which was just about 20 minutes away. I can’t say anything but positive things about this property. I would highly recommend anyone choose this property to stay at. We plan to book again for next year and this time to stay a full week.

Overall the family had a really good time. The cabin was roomy and comfortable with plenty of sleeping space. The bathroom is tiny and outdated. One toilet for five guests was okay for the weekend.
I loved how the kitchen was well stocked with items such as pots and pans and utensils. Plenty of dish detergent too. As always, the knives were dull and the pans old and scratched.
The neighborhood was lovely - a really sweet lake house community feel. Tiny little houses everywhere and humongous trees. The walk to the lake was very short and totally doable with kids. The place had a wagon which was SUPER helpful. Fire pit out front was great with plenty of wood.
We had to bring our own beach towels which was fine since we drove but would be a bummer if you flew here.
Local shops etc were easy to get to. 20 minutes to Lake George and all the attractions there. Very convenient, but you really don’t need it if you just want a sweet little get away in the woods.
The place is a bit of an allergy-sufferers’ nightmare. I sneezed all weekend. As many houses that are located near water and aren’t used a lot, the place was musty. At least the beds had thick anti-allergy covers on them so I slept well, but the carpet is old and dirty and made my kids’ feet black.
There were little signs everywhere inside the place giving instructions on how to be a good guest which I think is helpful. I know how a septic system works, so nothing was news to me but it was good to have.

This property was perfect for the six of us! Had everything we needed and was close to all the attractions and shops. Will definitely be back!

It was our family's last-minute decision to get away and with many places sold out at Lake George, our original destination, I came across A Tale of Two Beaches house near Lake Luzerne. I'm glad we have stayed away from the busier place and ended up in a very quiet community, minutes away from the lake. There was nothing fancy about the place but it had everything that you need. My family enjoyed nearby hiking, railbike trip, swimming in the lake, kayaking, and gathering by the fire pit in the evening.
Diane, the host was very responsive and answered all the questions we had. We could not find iron on the day of the arrival and she brought it over soon after we contacted her. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away, I recommend the little town of Lake Luzerne and A Tale of Two Beaches home.

We stayed 5 days and it was a great central location for day trips all over the Adirondacks. The property was nothing fancy but we weren’t looking for that since we planned to be out most of the days we were there. The beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. The owner is excellent with communication and the property was well kept. We would highly recommend this property!

Nice place with plenty of room for 5 adults to sleep.

This property worked well for our family (2 adults, 3 teens and our 5yo) and dog. Short walk to the beaches. Clean lakes to swim and fish in. The neighborhood seemed very quiet and peaceful. Kayaking was fun, only issue was chaining them back up after we used them. Great communication with the property manager Diane! She answered all my questions very quickly via text. Overall had a lovely stay!

We had a great time. Comfy beds and pillows, clean home, easy check in. Would recommend.

Slept 6 comfortably for a few nights ....worked well for our needs ...pet friendly ..quiet neighborhood...
Not sure I would want to stay for a week vaca but a weekend was perfect and the location was great.

Great place to be near Lake Luzerne or Lake George, upper Sacandaga. The rooms are small however the dining, kitchen area and living area are spacious.

We had a great stay! Everything was wonderful and we got to chat with some neighbors. They were helpful and gave us some great ideas for our weekend!

The purpose of our trip was the annual balloon fest, but we were able to do so much more from the great central location to all the things we love. The cottage is in a beautiful quite neighborhood, near the hiking trails and senic drives on our list. Stores are near for any forgotten nessisities. The property manager was prompt in her response to any questions, and offered some great suggestions to local attractions, A++!!! Restaurants all around close early, so this will interfere with a jam packed day. The only thing I can think of would be a dishwasher. After all the hiking and staying out late at the balloon fest, washing dishes was the last thing we wanted or felt like doing. This cottage covered all our needs.

Was a great stay, clean and comfortable. Was there for car show, short drive to all close attractions!

Home was very accommodating in the perfect location very short and convenient trips to all of Lake George region attractions. Very quiet and peaceful location with pleasant neighbors in area. Home was as described in listing 100 percent, the family had a wonderful time will definitely save this listing for future getaways to the area.

Going to lake George all my life, I decided to rent a house in Lake Luzerne last minute and this was all I could find. The pros of this property were they allowed dogs which was a plus, and the property manager Diane was a huge help when we locked ourselves out the first day there
she came over in 15 min flat. She was also very responsive to all communication. We we're also able to take kayaks out on the lake, but without a pick up or hitch, you have to lug them from the chained up area in the park to the water.
The cons however, this place was like a glorified trailer, to say the least. I was well aware that there were beaches half mile down the road but also thought one would be able to see the water from the home, which you cannot. The instructions on details of home were messy and like a puzzle. I don't think the price per night was accurate for what it was.
Overall, I will not rent here again, and will likely stay in Lake George.

Second year in a row!
This is the second year me and my family stayed with Diane at the tale of two lakes. It was just as lovely as it was last year. It’s cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is so quirky and lovely. The daily walks to the beach (with and without the dogs). Kayaking around ivy island to see the Eagle there. The loons at night. There’s nothing not to love about this place. Can’t wait until next year!

Excellent Experience
The house was way better than we expected! We couldn’t spend as much time there as we would have liked though because my cousins came to Lake George to surprise me for my birthday and no guest are allowed at this house, so that was the only downfall of staying at this house.

Cabin was clean and in a great neighborhood. We had a great time with our family and puppy Archie who made friends with Blue the pup across the street! Diane was very nice and answered any and all questions quickly. We would definitely love to go back!

The property was fine, the check-in process was easy, communication with the property manager was very good but the damage deposit policy is a bit strange. I had to put down a very large damage deposit (or pay for damage insurance, which I knew I did not need) and when I asked how long it would take to return the deposit I was told a few days if there was no damage. After four full days from my check out time I contacted the manager and asked if there was a problem since I had not received my deposit back. I was then told it is automatically returned after 2 weeks, which is not what I was told when I originally asked how long it would take. The manager did immediately initiate the process to return my deposit, but I don't feel like I should have had to call and ask for it.

There were three seniors and two adults in their 30s in our party. The cottage is inviting and well appointed. It was a nice generous size for our group giving everyone plenty of space. The bathroom is adequate but on the small side. Comfortable beds. From the advertising photos, we expected a view of the water from the cottage, so that was disappointing. It was difficult to find the cottage when we arrived at night because the house number is not facing Hendrick road and was not lit.
When traveling to Queensbury, routes 9 to 87 is best to avoid the very curvy and hilly terrain in the dark...not fun. Overall we had a great weekend ending with a Lake George boat ride, lunch overlooking the water at the Boardwalk and a ride up Prospect Mountain.
We arrived at night and did find it difficult to locate the cottage as the house number was not lit or facing Hendrick Rd. From the advertising pictures we thought there was a view of the lake from the cottage so that was disappointing. The Balloon Festival was in Queensbury. The 10 or so mile ride was best if you took routes 9 and 87 which avoided the twisty, turny mountain pass in the dark...not fun. Overall we had a great weekend enjoying the festival and then a Lake George boat ride, lunch on the water at the Boardwalk and a ride up Prospect Mt. before heading home.

In the description and pictures, it should be made clearer the cottage is actually not on a beach.h

The home is exactly how it’s describe and more. You could take the kayaks to the quiet lake and the neighborhood is very quiet and great for the family to just get away and forget everything

Four of us stayed; me, my husband, our 18 yr old, and her friend. We all thought it was just right. Clean, quiet, with plenty of space and everything you might need. Roomy floor plan inside, so we weren't all in each other's space all the time. The beaches are small, but I've never been in lake water so crystal clear! The house is in a quiet neighborhood, but there are grocery stores, restaurants and ice cream places within a few miles. It was one of our best vacations!

Great camp house for families and groups of 5-6 people visiting the Adirondack region. Camp has a fully functional kitchen and a small but adequate bathroom. Rooms and space were as advertised. The location of the home is approximately 20 minutes away from the southern Lake George region as well as Saratoga Springs region. Diane responded promptly to all questions and she was helpful in answering questions about the region. Would definitely stay here again.
