They charge me and extra $50. and told me that they will return that amount to me int two weeks and they never did it.
I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

There was a big mess up on reservations ( was resolved but not without a lot of negotiating by one of our party members who knows the business. It was obvious at that point that we were problem customers because there were comments by staff here and ther.
The way it was such a battle.

Staff was nice, gave good food recommendations.
Sheets were dirty, walls were dirty. Bed was uncomfortable. Only food nearby was an expensive steakhouse, the only other option was closed. TV cut in and out. No microwave in room. Paid for a King room but was a queen bed.

We really enjoyed the firework show even though it was cold lol. Nice comfy beds. We also love the swimming pool and hot tub, we choose this hotel often so that our kids can swim.
The only thing that was kind of a bummer is that we requested a room with a city view(months ago) so that we could watch the fireworks from our room. We were given a room facing the mountains.....not really a big deal though as we just stepped outside and watched fireworks.

All of the Staff went above and beyond to help everyone feel Welcome. If you needed anything all you had to was ask.

Location ok, was under construction repairs. No water for 2 nights
Had to move rooms twice.
Inconvenient to have to move rooms.

Property away from Casinos and other shenanigans. Staff friendly enough.
A lot of people working in the area staying there, walls very, very thin. Homemade bed frames, very noisy. Not many electrical plugs, hard to get plug ins to work with. Bathroom hardware coming out of the wall.

Beds were a little too hard

Enjoyable stay in a pretty location. Indoor pool and hot tub were very clean and warm. Great views outside the window for us as well.
Found some hairs in the bathroom on the floor and the bathtub upon arrival. Also had someone take up 7 parking spots in the main parking area when there was a back row for him and his trailer.

The staff was nice and was clean
The property was not what I expected the place that they show on the photos did not look anything like it I pay for a upgrade for a private pool it did not exist on the property and they say stream service on the tv was not the case the tv did not work talk to the front desk and they say that they can’t help me was a disappointment.

location, but very confusing when you book where you are staying at what location. Staff was nice , this was our second stay.
room 305, bathroom vent , clicks loud , there is no breakfast or coffee except in the room but no real sugar or creamer available
we only used the room for 1 night due to the weather being so bad, plus got altitude / mountain sick and no medical place to go. Does the hotel have oxygen available or maybe put in a brochure about medical service if needed.

Very modern and clean.
We stayed in room 237 and the heating unit didn’t work, called the front desks don’t hey never answered. So we stayed in the winter in a cold room with our son under a year old.

Location
The hotel was outdated. The heater was very loud. The bed was very hard, the window was broken and the staff was nice but didn’t really know what they were doing.

Not much - it was kid friendly
Horrible beds, lumpy pillows, very run down, smells like smoke even though it’s supposed to be a smoke free facility. No food available except vending machines, too far from town to walk to get something to eat, but if you have kids good luck finding a place to eat. Cripple Creek is the most unfriendly place for children. Most places can’t let them in because of the gambling, and if they do let them in, they don’t seat parties of more than 6! Very disappointing!
2.5
The location and view were great but the lack of vending machines and no food on location was pretty miserable. The food around town also was not up to par and made for a pretty miserable birthday trip. Would not stay in cripple creek again.
There were four adults (two female and two male) adults drinking Jameson and vaping in the pool. From what I could overhear it sounded like one of the women worked there. It made swimming extremely uncomfortable for me and my 6 year old so we left. No towels in the area must bring some from the room. Then maintenance came and turned on COLD water to put into the pool, mind you it was literally FREEZING outside. Overall a terrible experience especially for a birthday staycation and we wont be back to the town.

The pool and hot tub
The water pressure wasn't great in the shower but the stay was overall good.

The guy at the front desk was overwhelmed but very nice. I felt bad for him. There were not enough rooms ready for the line of people waiting to check in at 4PM.
Be sure to know where you are staying. I was at the King Mountain Inn and it was pretty gross. There was blood on the wall, power socket, tub and shower curtain. The beds were not comfy and the heater below the window smelt bad and was very loud!! I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel sits on top of the hill overlooking the city of Cripple Creek and the Ice Castles. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the hot tub was nice and hot.
The room was old and a musty smell permeated throughout the hotel. The lamp in our room between the two beds was missing a switch and was not working. The ice maker in the hotel was not working.

It was a convenient stay to reach our destination
Ice machine broken, smelled like bad BO through the hallways, no lighting in our room, all together a subpar experience. No breakfast. Which would be ok if the restaurants in town allowed children

Not much of anything. We don’t even stay both nights we had reserved. We left.
The property wasn’t clean or well managed. There wasn’t anyone on duty at the front desk and when the employee did show up, she was getting out of a car that was parked in the parking lot. Wonder what she was doing in the car?? No coffee available at the coffee bar. Floors were muddy - rugs saturated and wet. Guests were drinking and playing music and partying until 3:15am until another guest finally decided to complain to the guests making all the noise. No management on site whatsoever the entire stay.

Check in was at 4 pm, they had no rooms until 7pm leaving me and my family to wait outside with truck running in the snow and cold

Rooms were decent for the price.
Nice to have a fridge .
Nice view of town.
Bed not comfortable
Had to switch rooms because of a strange smell in the room .
Had to drive down to gamble in town

I booked a room at this facility over the internet, I arrived and they tried to put me in the older nasty smelling hotel up on the hill, which was not clarified on the internet, so they agreed to place me in a room at the other Hotel, closer to the casino, the room had a view of the HVAC system. I left my charger in the room, out in the open, when I checked out. When I realized it the next day, I called to ask to see if house keeping placed it in their lost and found. Of course, it is no where to be found.

The front desk person was wonderful and helpful.
When booking the hotel has 2 separate hotel names but also needs to say which one is connected to the hotel instead having to wait until they send you a message after you book so you have to cancel and rebook. PUT IT ON THE BOOKING PAGE!

The location was convenient to the Ice Castles, restaurants, and shops.
The check in was not good at all. We arrived at 3:30 for a 4:00 pm check in and were told it would be 30 min. to an hour before the room would be ready. Guests kept arriving and were told the same thing. We were finally allowed into our room at 5:20 p.m. I asked to be compensated for the late check in and the desk clerk, who was very nice, gave us a discount, which we appreciated.

We like the fact that they had a shuttle to downtown cripple Creek. Staff was very friendly and accommodating!
I find it incredible that you can’t even get a real cup of coffee in the lobby! That is really inexcusable because the coffee makers (?)they put in the rooms are just hot water and coffee tea type bags. UGG!!!
I also don’t like the fact that you can’t choose a room that hasn’t been occupied by pets. Our room smelled heavily of dogs, and there was dog hair in the room.

Intent was to stay at golden nugget. Your website is somewhat misleading. Don’t think you need to charge same price for both places.
T V reception was terrible.

address on booking was a sister hotel which was nicer than this one. We asked to move and pay any extra which was refused by the staff because we had booked through a third party. It has to be that although the staff said both locations were same company clearly they were not.

Very friendly staff, clean, location was perfect.
Wish there were microwaves in the rooms, but there was one in the lobby. Kind of pricey, but otherwise, AMAZING
