Younger Than the Mountains living room is designed for both entertainment and relaxation, so whether youre a couch potato or you spend just a few hours a day in your living room, youll get the most out of it thanks to the included amenities. Youll find a large screen TV, a fireplace for cozy nights, and plush couches so you can watch a movie, read a book, or warm up while chatting about your daily adventures in the Smokies!
Kitchen and Dining
Meals are an important aspect of every vacation, and while the area offers a multitude of restaurants for every culinary craving, if you never want to leave the house to eat, you certainly dont have to! Younger Than The Mountains offers a fully equipped kitchen complete with everything you need to prepare your own farm-to-table meal, including a standard size refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster, pots, pans, and cutleries. The updated kitchen also has brand-new stainless-steel appliances. With an open design, there's plenty of counter space to cook and enjoy meals! The dining area is situated right off the kitchen area, with seating large enough to gather and enjoy your meals comfortably.
Bedrooms, Bathrooms and More!
Upon entering the home, you are welcomed to a large and spacious living room with soaring ceilings! Throughout the cabin you will find a total of three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Guests will find one bedroom on the main floor, which hosts a queen-sized bed and a nicely remodeled en-suite bathroom. Guests will find the top floor with one additional bedroom which hosts a queen-sized bed. The lower level is where guests will find the kids' bedroom with two bunk beds, one of which is a twin-over-twin bunk bed and the second is a twin-over-queen bunk bed -- plenty of sleeping arrangements for all of your little ones (or big ones!). Each room has cozy bedding and comfortable beds to help ensure a restful night sleep. You can pack light, because each bathroom contains towels and starter soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, and other bathroom essentials.
Activities
The lower level is where you will find the pool table and arcade game for endless hours of fun for adults and kids alike. If that begins to get boring (which is unlikely), more fun awaits you outdoors! You and your guests can relax in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, or grill dinner on the gas grill and dine at the outdoor table while taking in the gorgeous view. To wind down your day, enjoy a hot cup of tea (or moonshine!) while relaxing on the porch lounge chairs.

Beautiful property, well maintained, great amenities, fully furnished kitchen. Perfect if you have no interest in traffic and crowds. I would definitely take my family again.

It is an excellent property and the host is great, we enjoyed our time at this property.

Loved the place had just the rite amount of space for 2 families. 1st we were visited by a bear came up the driveway and up the set of stairs then casually walked over the the fire pit sniffed around then walked away. Everything was about 20 minutes away

The cabin was beautiful and we had such a great time! Justin gave great directions, suggestions and checked in several times to ask if we needed anything.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and we had everything needed to make our vacation enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again.

House was clean and well stocked. We only had issues with a racoon that wanted to stay with us.

This property was perfect for our family! We really enjoyed the real fireplace and the pool table! It was super close to downtown but yet far enough to be out of the city. We had a great time and are so very thankful.

Absolutely loved staying here and the owner was so kind through all of my annoying questions
5.0 / 5.0
Lots of cobwebs on the inside, but no visible bug problem. Poor lighting by the steep stairs outside. The setup was fantastic and very comfortable. Some of the games and things provided as extras were missing pieces. For example, only 2 darts were there, poker chips but no cards, etc.... Lastly, we had a racoon visitor that made the deck unusable for one of the nights. It was overly friendly, which makes me think someone was feeding it. All minor things in the big picture.

This house lacks tender loving care. It seems to be poorly managed and is poorly stocked. When we arrived the outside lighting was burned out which made it difficult to enter.
Several lamps bulbs were burned out and there were no extra light bulbs
The beds did not have mattress pad covers. and only used flat sheets that were too small for the size it was. so only fitted sheets were used on any beds.
there were o my two bath towels for each of the 3 bathrooms and we had 10 guests. and none of the bathrooms had bath mats which was very unsafe.
only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom for a 5 day stay. and 2 tiny soap bars
The kitchen had zero condiments! Not even salt and pepper! There were 8 plate for 10 guests. Only 3 plastic cups were stocked. all the other ones were glass wine glasses and martini glasses
The dishwasher rack does not seem to fit inside .
The exterior needs attention desperately. some of the wood is dry rotted.
the yard is filled with trash along the driveway
I would never stay here again or recommend it. I'm disappointed in VRBO and Avada Properties
I think I should be compensated for my stay. There was no phone number available for me to call. Only an online chat line which was not even a live human being
I will say the handyman was very helpful but did not come until the day before we checked out. it wasn't his fault though. they do not employ enough handymen to take care of repairs

This house was perfect for our group, it had plenty of beds and space for our group of 10. It was easy to get to and though you felt as if you were way up in the mountains you really were not that far, so you didn't have a long drive down the mountain to get to town. It was clean and there was lots to do. We had a fire pit, hot tub, pool table, video game and just lots of space to watch TV and hang out. We had wildlife visit. A mama bear and her three cubs came to the cabin when we were preparing to leave. We would stay at this cabin again.

My husband & I brought our 4 adult kids and our brother in-law and sister in-law. All for my daughters 1 year anniversary & our 23rd anniversary. The house was great. We had one light that didn't work but as soon as we reported it, they were there the next morning & our tech was great! Justin was in contact with us the whole time & was wonderful! We will be back again!

This cabin was so peaceful! It’s location is perfect for being away from the hustle & bustle from Gatlinburg but close enough that you can be in downtown Gatlinburg within 20mins. Sitting on the porch we felt like we were in a treehouse- beautiful trees (great spot for taking a nap). The hot tub was clean & used everyday we were there. Beds & sofas we’re comfortable but most importantly (to us) it was very clean! We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin!!

The house was great for the 10 of us.listing accurate. Kids loved the bunk room and games. Campfire great for s'mores. Location very convenient— behind beautiful golf course. Only 20 min from rafting in Hartford TN and 20 min from Gatlinburg. Great communication with host- made sure we had everything we needed!

We were disappointed that the cabin had a very little view of the mountains. After all, that's why we came to the "Smoky Mountains." Also, there was a lot of stairs for us older people. The pool table is in need of repair or replacement. On the plus side, the owner was a joy to work with. Overall, an enjoyable experence.

Overall the cabin was nice but definitely could benefit from some TLC.

We really enjoyed staying in this cozy cabin:) It was a perfect location and our two teenagers, one from each family, really enjoyed having their separate space to hang out downstairs with the pool table. We hung out a lot on the deck overlooking the golf course and watched woodpeckers come and go. It's a very peaceful place and we had a great time vacationing here.

The cabin was perfect for a weekend trip. Communication with host was outstanding. The driveway is steep but not terrible to navigate.

We really enjoyed our stay! We arrived in snow so the steep driveway was a little extra scary, but still do-able. The space itself was really nice, cozy. Great rooms and features. The view is awesome. You're in a little community area. Contact with hosts was SUPER easy and fast!

Hopefully, this review helps others as the cabin was great for my family. I want to touch base on other comments about the cabin that I had read prior to booking and also put my input in. This was the first time I used VBRO, and it was a great experience. The cabin was in a great location, the same distance to go places as my hometown, so 15-30 minutes to get to town was not a big deal for my family.
Comments about the driveway yes, the drive is steep; however, you are in the mountain, and it is best to drive up and back down. Some branches could be trimmed back a little along the driveway; on that, we all know that plants grow, so I understand trying to keep up with the growth. Yes, the original set of steps doesn’t have the railing going to the top step, so that could be something in the future that a handrail could be done differently. But for ones that do not necessarily need the handrail, not a big issue.
The bear walked down the steps to the cars, then off down the driveway and back across later that night. There were 11 that stayed, and everyone had space on the 3 floors. The children loved that they had their own room on the first floor with the pool table and arcade. I liked that there was a bedroom on the middle floor next to the kitchen; the bathroom shower was tricky at first. Pull down on the tub spout to turn on the shower. If you are tall, I recommend taking a shower upstairs or downstairs; the shower head is a little low.
The two rooms on the top had a shared bathroom- all rooms had plenty of room. The kitchen had what was needed to be able to cook dinner, even spices if you forget to get your favorite at the store. The dishwasher was not my friend, and it took me a few times to get it to turn on.
Communication is excellent if you have questions. Was kept up to date on the check-in of the cabin. My family and I will be returning at some point back to this location. The description of the cabin and the photos are accurate. I just wanted to say this was not my first pick, and I am happy that the other cabin I picked didn't work as this one was great! We did not get to enjoy the spa as the thunder and lighting, but that was okay. The family was still able to enjoy the cabin and being close to places. I like that you are not right next to another home, so you have privacy sitting out on the porch at night or in the morning to enjoy the view and eat dinner. Morning coffee was great sitting outside.

We drove out from Ohio for a weekend get away and had a blast. The cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. We had a bear walk right up on the bottom deck and got to watch it for a while. All in all I give it a 10/10. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful cabin in the woods!
We had a great time at the cabin! It was clean and perfect for our group. The driveway and stairs are steep but we got more used to them as the week went on. Communication with the owners was wonderful and we felt very well taken care of. Hot tub and pool table were nice and they gave us many recommendations for fun things in the area. Would definitely stay again!

Family get away
House was clean and in a very quiet area. Nice fire pit out back. Would stay here again for sure. Drive way a little scary but our cars are four wheel drive so that helped a lot.

Family get away
Great cabin but to many steps for us senior adults. Also first set of steps needed hand rails all the way to the top. Just a little tricky especially when they had ice on them. But overall beautiful property and very nice stay.

Christmas stay
The rental experience was great and the communication with the owner was wonderful. The only complaint we had was the photos did not match up with the size of the property. I would give the photographer for the cabin a raise bc it looked much bigger in the photos than IRL. No complaints and would definitely recommend for a “cozy get away”.

Birthday Crew 2021
I really enjoy my stay at this cabin. The cabin and view was beautiful as well. I have few comments and suggestions. The cabin needs deep cleaning especially under the bed and the dressers. The shower curtains need to be change out often because you could tell they were dirty in two of the bathrooms. The Master bathroom we had trouble turning on the shower . I love the way the owner responding in a timely manner when I needed to ask questions. The beds were so comfortable and the cabin is spacious.

Family Vacation
The cabin definitely fit the description and photos. The property was as clean as I would expect and we were all comfortable during our stay. It is close enough to downtown Gatlinburg that it was a quick trip in and still allowed us to have a good view of the mountains from the deck. Biggest con for us was the steepness of both the driveway and stairs within the cabin. Older guests and little ones need to be careful on the stairs, particularly outside going in and the inside ones down to the basement. Probably similar in other properties but something to be aware of. The driveway took us some time to get used to, especially with two vehicles. I would recommend driving up to the top, then turning around to back into the spot once you're up there as there's enough room. Trying to back up the drive from the bottom was a one-time try for us.
Overall was a very a nice place for our family with multiple little ones and well worth the expense to add a little more fun to the trip without having to stay at one of the less-than-luxurious hotels in downtown Gatlinburg.

Steep driveway
Overall it was a good rental experience once I got passed handling the steep driveway. Cabin seemed cleaned but lacked maintenance. Front door is hard to close. Lower stairs on lower level with vinyl floor end caps are a tripping hazard. If the fridge isn’t working correctly replace it. Only one towel and wash cloth per guest no extras. Constantly washing them. Lower level seems like the air conditioning is lacking. Parking area needs trimmed back so that you can park three vehicles there at the top of the hill. Outside wooden stairs are wobbly not secured to the foundation. Again overall 4 out of 5 stars just recommend if you want to be getting 5 stars it needs somethings

Girls Trip
Nice house to gather and catch up. Kitchen nicely stocked. Comfortable bedding.
The one minus was that the hot tub didn't warm up during our stay.
