Very authentic Swiss ski cabin in a great location! Appointed with fun ski posters and decor ... the attention to detail is really chrarming. Its a small but very functional and cozy place with super comfortable beds and couch. Would definitely stay here again!

The property management wouldn't refund the fees even though we had a serious family emergency and couldn't travel. No partial refunds or refund of cleaning fee even though nobody will stay there. Disappointing and not recommended.

Had a great some skiing Timberline and Skibowl. The location here was perfect! The house fit all our needed and will use again next time too.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It’s perfectly located within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in government camp. The cabin itself has a Bavarian/Austrian feel to it which is perfect for a Mtn cabin. Its quaint size gave it a comfortable cozy feel. It was well stocked with whatever you need. The bed was quite comfortable lending to a great nights rest. Only suggestion would be to bring something to play music on. There is a boombox that plays tapes with a large stack to choose from. Overall we will 100% book this cabin again.

Very quaint cabin. Well sized for us two adults. Beds comfy and it was plenty warm. Outside temps were lo 30’s. Some sunshine, some drizzle. Didn’t utilize any cooking as we were attending a destination wedding where all meals were provided at another rental location. Wi- Fi was flawless which is extremely important for us with multiple devices each. Very charming place and would return to same if another opportunity presents. Totally recommend!

Neat place. Close to restaurants in Govy.

We loved it. Just a little upset we could tell the fire place had been used but we weren't allowed to use it. I bought wood so that was a waste. Overall though we enjoyed ourselves.

This is a great spot to stay at while visiting Mt Hood. Residual smoke smell from the wood stove was a little bothersome for us.

Awesome, retro cabin. Warm, bright and cozy; love the posters, the furniture, and the red carpet!

This rental is a cute place with everything you need. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The location was great in the heart of downtown Government Camp. Some negatives are a lack of living space downstairs, small fridge, and no TV. To be fair theses elements are listed in their posting and isn’t everyone on Mt Hood for the outdoors anyway. I highly recommend this cabin and it reasonably priced for the market. I would absolutely stay there again.

Called first night ,it was 22 degrees . Heater on wall kept shutting off. No wood for fire. Key saying there was a wood box, never found it in the deep snow. Called for help, got Vacasa but no call back from owner. I froze all night. Next day had to buy expensive wood, Heater kept at 80 degrees downstairs still froze up stairs , windows were not insulated upstairs. Dishes were dirty no dishwasher, no TV , limited kitchen. Carpet upstairs made me congested and smoke smell upstairs made me sick. Horrible cabin, spent alot money for rustic cabin. Rip off.

We loved the location (great value for the price!), however the lack of parking, dated carpet and smell of woodsmoke that permeated everything that we brought into the cabin (despite not having a fire once when we were there) made for the lower rating.

The windows cannot be opened. They have a piece of plexiglass nailed to the frame that covers the sliding windows. This is troublesome because the entire place smells like a chimney. Getting any sort of fresh air in is not possible unless you leave the front door open. Also not enough towels provided.

Lovely and cozy, this cabin is now a favorite for its proximity to activities and ski-themed decor. A fully equipped kitchen made vacation easy, and a comfortable bed made vacation restful.

We adored this little cabin. We were afraid that the kitchen might be too small to cook Thanksgiving dinner in, but it turned out to be perfect for the 3 of us. For a small space, it’s efficient and has everything you need. The beds were extremely comfy, too. I loved watching the snow come down through the bedroom window. It’s cozy and quiet enough that you can feel you’re miles away in snowy woods, but in actuality, you’re a block away from downtown Govy and just a short walk to Summit Pass. I highly recommend!!

Perfect proximity to town, walkable to everything. Loved our stay. Somewhat strong smoke smell due to the fireplace, but went with the cabin theme.

Lovely & Instructions would have been helpful
I loved my five nights at this gorgeous cabin. The wood paneled rooms, the well equip kitchen, comfortable beds, etc were all great. I wanted to make a little fire - there was wood laid out ready to use - but when I went to use the stove/fireplace there were no instructions about how to manage the flues etc. Black smoke started leaking out into the room, so I quickly stopped and did not try again. Other than that, it was really a lovely stay! Thank you :-)

Fun ski cabin!
Lots of retro ski posters as decor, so it's perfect for ski-obsessed people like us. The glade trail is right there so you can ski down from Timberline. Cute, super comfy beds with plenty of warm blankets, clean & quain, great water pressure & nice shower. We'd stay there again!
Things to keep in mind: 1) Bring a sleep mask for the king sized bed, though, because there is streetlight that shines in the windows all night--light blocking curtains would be great. 2) Bring cooking oil as needed since there isn't any there. Bring your own spices/salt, too, since what's there is pretty old. 3) Bring extra firewood for wood stove if it's cold out, because they don't supply much at all. (There's a heater, though, so fireplace is a bonus.)

Very clean and cute
This place is adorable and was extremely clean. The downside is that in the winter it is very cold. The one heater is not adequate to provide warmth so bring warm layers to lounge in. If you want to use the stove for heat you will need to bring your own wood. Also the comforter is super hot which was hard for sleeping as I was either cold without it or hot with it. Curtains in main bedroom are sheer and it is very bright. Overall not the best for sleeping but great location, clean, and cute.

Nice Stay
So cozy and overall a nice stay. Our one complaint is that there is no heater up stairs and so it can get quite cold at night. Overall a nice place.

Great location - Close to all the XC Trails on Mt. Hood
Loved the coziness of the cabin. Also has everything one would need to cook in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of nice comforters, The upstairs bedrooms can get cold in the winter, but the comforters really helped.

We live in Bend, OR and wanted to get away for a couple of days! This ski chalet style cabin was AMAZING!!!

We loved our stay at Sno-Bird #8! Super cute with really neat decorations that gave this cabin a cozy feeling. The two bedrooms was a good size for our family of 5 (two adults, 9 & 2 year old, 4 month old.) The kitchen had all the supplies we'd need, the bathroom had a nice shower, and the bedrooms had comfy beds! The woodstove was nice to have too. We stayed the end of September and the parking wasn't an issue at all for us. We just parked across the street, no different than parking at a hotel and walking to your room.
It was a great stay, definitely recommend!

Adorable Cottage, Incredible Setting
We had an awesome time at this adorable cottage that was everything we needed. There were three of us and it fit everyone perfectly. Very good communication with the host and it was easy front door keypad to enter and very easy checkout. It was clean, comfortable and sits in one of the most beautiful places in the country. We went on several hikes that were jaw-dropping and an easy car ride away. We walked to several places to eat and get grocery supplies. Looking forward to staying here again when we're back in Government Camp, thanks so much!!
