About this house rental
Plan your stay at our new home, a great 3 bedroom, 2-bath cottage in Michiana. Set in a secluded area between New Buffalo and Michigan City, this house is close to all the region has to offer including restaurants, beaches, Indiana Dunes National Park, beer and wine tasting, and lots of kid-friendly activities. Home is clean and modern (constructed in 2022), is still comfortable and kid friendly.
This cottage has an open layout with all bedrooms and baths on one-level. The Master Bedroom is en-suite with a King Bed and walk-in shower, and opens into a large screened porch. The other two bedrooms have Queen Beds and share a bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room are all open concept, with lots of seating options. There is also a back patio with grill and fire pit, as well as open yard space, so plenty of options to enjoy the outdoors!
The cottage is about 1 from Lake Michigan, which is great for a nice stroll through the wooded area, often spotting deer and other animals. There is beach access available about 1 mile walking (10-15 mins walk), and we provide beach gear and a wagon to help haul any gear. We are also walking distance to two parks that offer playgrounds and tennis/pickleball courts. The cottage is about equal distance between Michigan City and New Buffalo, but on the Indiana side of the state line (central time zone).
If you are planning a multi-family trip, this house is next door to Property #2087945 which is a very similar new cottage so great for two families to be together but still have a bit of privacy!

The home had everything as stated. Clean and comfortable. The check in book could use more information about the area, playgrounds and kid friendly activities. More info about beach access would be helpful. Would be great to have some local maps. Host was excellent with communication and response.

This stay was exactly what we needed. The host has everything you might need! Even night lights in the rooms (huge help with kids!) We loved our week here and would recommend this property!

This house is new and so beautiful. It’s stocked with more basics than anywhere we’ve ever stayed before. The rooms are spacious, the street is quiet, the screened in porch was wonderful for enjoying the weather away from the bugs. The house is a short walking distance to a wonderful private beach, where we spent most of our time. Our kids loved playing at the park that was only a few minutes to walk to. We also enjoyed so many restaurants that were all within 5-10 minutes of the house. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed this lovely house and the neighborhood. Pleasant walks and a park near by. We did use the New Buffalo public beach to swim, but walked to the closer beach just to enjoy the neighborhood and water view. The house had everything we needed.

The house was better in person than we imagined! Everything we needed was there we were close to the beach. We were blessed enough to get a ride from the lovely neighbor, since we were clueless on where to go. (They left great directions, I’m just directionally challenged). The house was clean, bright, and welcoming. Definitely 10 out of 10!

This place was amazing! Very clean, quaint, just the right size for a small group. Centrally located in between Indiana and Michigan. Quiet peaceful neighborhood with lots of beautiful deer and nature. Would definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here and found the home to be conveniently located, clean and cute! Would stay here again if coming to the area - very accommodating and comfortable. The nearby beach is a bit far and the only issue we found is that the small parking lot available to use was full and cars were already pinned in. Instead we ended up driving to the New Buffalo public beach, which turned out great since you didn’t have to carry chairs, etc as far.

We love this house - it's perfect for our family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone. Nice neighborhood for walking, and very quiet. Not too far from Lake Michigan, we went to the beach nearly every day and also checked out the sunset most nights. Highly recommended!

This is house is very nice but not so stuffy that it feels like you have to worry about your kids breaking something. It's very, very comfortable and lovely and had everything we needed. Love the front porch and the back screened in porch. Definitely a haul to the nearby beach, but we had stayed here a couple years ago and were prepared with our bikes.

The house is amazing! We actually rented three houses in the neighborhood to accommodate twenty women. We loved the open floor plan, cleanliness, screen porch & fireplace. Easy to get to the beach and nearby shopping.

We had a great time at this cottage in Michiana Shores. Everything about the house was great. Bedrooms were all very nice as were the bathrooms. The kitchen/dining room/living room open concept worked well with our group. It was also a slightly shorter walk to the beach than we anticipated. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house and quiet neighborhood. Location of rental was close to town and minutes to local beach by vehicle. Rental hostess was very responsive to questions as well as providing hospitality/generosity in housing essentials. Great weekend getaway with kiddos and friends. Thank you!

Beautiful beach cottage in great location. Four adults and two children comfortably stayed for a weekend attending my nieces softball tourney. The house is about a 15 minute walk to the beach in a very safe residential neighborhood. The house is near a park and surrounded by trees and wildlife. The beds were incredibly comfortable and communication with the owner was fantastic. I highly recommend this property!

The house is fantastic and very well managed. Everything was perfect. The one slight disappointment was that a swimming beach was not quite as accessible as the listing made it seem, but was just a short drive away. We would stay here again!

Layout of the house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the screened-in porch and fire pit, and family walks around the neighborhood in the evening. Internet speed was great, kitchen was the perfect size and well-equipped. We've already booked for next year!

Our six night stay was truly seamless. The house had everything you could need from dishwasher tabs to fire wood for the fire pit. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella and wagon were welcomed items available for our family. As a family of four, the layout of the house was perfect. Mandy was quick to respond to any questions and New Buffalo was a short drive away for restaurants/grocery needs. Highly recommend this place!!!

Fun get away
Spacious new home, and very clean. Works well for 2 couples. Comfortable beds, would have slept like a baby if it wouldn’t have been for the train whistles. Yard is very small so we didn’t spend too much time outside. There really is no privacy between this house and the home next door and the home next door is under construction. It was noisy and the yard of the house under construction was a mess. There aren’t many public beaches near home, and the walk from the home to the closest (small) public beach is not a lot of fun if you have to drag all your stuff in the heat. There is no parking and It’s a 20-25 minute walk. Location was close enough to some better beaches if you don’t mind piling stuff in car.
Bring toilet paper(they had one ply) ,bath soap, wine glasses and ear plugs.

Beautiful house
Beautiful house and beautiful setting. Glad to have nice pots and pans for cooking. This and fire pit/outdoor play are some of the reasons why we choose this instead of a hotel.

This is a newer property. House was nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed. It's about 1 mile to public beach access- walkable for sure and beautiful neighborhood to ride your bike.

Searched for a different location than we typically take trips and this location was north instead of south. The house is beautiful! The location was nice and quiet. Little traffic and easy walk to see sand and water. We saw several deer on our second walk of the day to see the sunset.

Just what we wanted. Family from many states coming together after being apart for years. All of us over 60, enjoying a private and peaceful housing unit close to Lake Michigan. Location is minutes from everything from entertainment, eateries, casinos, shopping and more. Relax and enjoy yourselves.
