About this cottage rental
Weaver's nestles into the hills just outside the conservation village of Ripponden, resting within the rural Pennine landscape, three miles from Sowerby Bridge, in the Ryburn Valley. The semi-detached cottage is set in its own grounds surrounded by traditional Yorkshire dry stone walls. Positioned at the front of a small hamlet of traditional houses, Weaver’s cottage has uninterrupted panoramic views over the
valley to the Ryburn reservoir and along to Batings Dam.
Within the village, you will find a small high street with shops, cafes, an award-winning restaurant, takeaways, several excellent pubs serving food and real ale.
Tastefully decorated, the property has been styled to enhance the original features of this traditional weavers cottage with the added benefit of luxurious pocket sprung beds and comfortable furnishings throughout.
On entry, through the front door, you are welcomed into the cosy but stylish lounge area, furnished with a large 3 piece chesterfield sofa, Smart TV with Freeview player.
The large kitchen and dining area is accessed directly from the lounge and is fitted with built-in double Neff oven, combi-microwave, and induction hob, dishwasher, washer dryer, under counter freezer and full height larder fridge. A farmhouse style dining table comfortably seats 6 for dining and a cosy seating area makes the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine whilst dinner is prepared. There is also a breakfast bar for casual dining.
The downstairs twin bedroom, with ensuite facilities including shower, is accessed from the lounge, as is a heated 'boot cupboard' to dry off any damp walking boots and coats.
Upstairs comprises master ensuite, double bedroom, and family bathroom with shower located off the landing area.
The spacious Master suite, with its inviting king-sized bed, looks out over the spectacular scenery surrounding the Ryburn reservoir. The ensuite bathroom includes a full-size bath and a separate power shower.
Just down the hall is the double bedroom with Bronte inspired window seat for relaxing with your favourite book.
A sheltered patio is located directly in front of the property, catching the morning sun, it is an excellent spot for a lazy weekend brunch. The newly installed sun terrace, with Yorkshire stone seating, projects out of the garden to make the most of the spectacular panoramic views to enjoy during lunch or evening cocktails!
There is ample parking on the private driveway and an electric car parking point is conveniently located here for your use.
The cottage welcomes well-behaved dogs (maximum of two), which we request are kept downstairs and off furniture please. There are plenty of fabulous dog walks from the cottage, but do take care to keep your dog on a lead near farm animals. You may access the field in front of the cottage for those early morning / late night requirements, but we kindly ask that as a responsible dog owner you please do clean up after your pet, as children also play in the field.

This is the most perfect English cottage in a beautiful rural setting! It was clean, beds were very comfy, views were amazing! Our Host was great at communication and responded very quickly to our questions. Highly recommend this property!

Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. Everything provided, even down to bin liners. Could have done with a couple more dishwasher tablets (there were 4)- we forgot to take some with us and didn't want to buy a box just for three and a half days. Having six people, all for whom we cooked rice, a larger sieve would be useful. But these are mine things.
Definitely recommended.

Beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable. Michelle's contact prior to our stay was great, sent all relevant information in a timely fashion, on arrival at the cottage she had left some welcoming treats for us all. The Cottage was tastefully decorated for Christmas, so it felt warm and cosy from the minute we arrived.
The kitchen was a delight to cook in and very well equipped. Just a shame the weather didn't allow for much outdoor exploring and that we didn't book for longer !

Great area and the house is terrific. Close to the moors, reservoirs and other walking trails. Would suggest a few more essentials in the kitchen - salt, pepper, oil, etc. Tea and sweets were supplied, which was nice. Would definitely stay there again!

A beautiful cottage, nicely furnished with every amenity you need. The views are stunning and the garden was wonderful to sit in, as the weather was lovely we sat out with drinks in the evening looking over the beautiful views. There are nice walks from the cottage and lots of places to visit. There are some nice pubs/cafes nearby and we recommend The Cinnamon Lounge, Rishworth for a fabulous curry. We highly recommend New Weavers Cottage for a delightful and peaceful stay.

Weaver’s Cottage is a wonderful place to stay; charming, comfortable, well equipped and welcoming.
We appreciated Michelle’s customised suggestions of places to visit based on our interests and visitor information at the cottage also inspired fun family outings.
It was lovely to have such a large kitchen/dining area with fabulous, ever-changing views to enjoy with family and visiting friends.

Weavers cottage is everything you wish for in a VRBO property. Full of character and modern, well appointed, well equipped surrounded by beautiful countryside but close to amenities.
A great place for a family get together. Would thoroughly recommend and we will definitely return.

The cottage is decorated to a high standard and was perfect for 5 adults to relax and enjoy the Yorkshire countryside. The kutchen was well-equipped; the only thing we couldn't find was some serving spoons 😀 The rooms were not massive but very clean and comfy beds. It is up the hill from Ripponden, but this is a hilly county. Easy drive into the village and some loveky local pubs and walks. Would return if in the area.

Easter weekend break
First time I’ve used Vrbo and so glad we found this cottage. Lovely welcoming property, furnishings were of a very high quality throughout and couldn’t fault anything. Owner very helpful and quick to reply to my messages. Will be returning as soon as we can.

Immaculate cottage, brilliant location
From the breathtaking views to the smart furnishings and personal touches (eg welcome goodies tailored exactly to our party and a handmade card), we couldn't fault Weavers Cottage. Loved the peace, countryside walks straight from the door, and the ability to nip to shops, restaurants and takeaways within minutes. The area was new to us so the waterproof map and visitor information thoughtfully provided inspired us to visit Salt's Mill & Saltaire, The Piece Hall and Shibden Hall in Halifax, and - my favourite - the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Thank you for a brilliant stay, Michelle & Mark, you are generous and exemplary hosts!

Very enjoyable stay at a lovely cottage on the outskirts of Ripponden
A lovely cottage with fantastic views over the countryside. We were very pleased with the accommodation, especially the large kitchen/diner which was very well equipped and spacious. The large main en-suite bedroom was ideal for our son and daughter-in-law with their newborn daughter. Although the other bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) were smaller there was plenty of storage space with the Ottoman beds. Unfortunately due to the weather we couldn't make full use of the garden with the cocktail patio but it would have been a lovely spot to spend time during nice weather. And the field beyond the garden was ideal for our dog to play when not on walks around the country lanes.
We were very impressed with all the information provided by the owner, Michelle, in advance of our visit and also the welcome pack and greeting cards that were waiting for us on our arrival.
We would love to have the opportunity to stay at Weaver's Cottage again some time.

This cottage is just beautiful, everything is immaculate and well equipped. Welcome gifts were greatly appreciated especially by Ollie our dog who received his own doggie treats. The surrounding countryside and views looking over the valley are simply stunning. We were so fortunate with the weather and had a complete chill out week. There are lots of walks straight from the cottage, golf nearby and great places to eat. We would definitely 100% recommend this cottage. Thank you so much Mark and Michelle for our stay at Weavers Cottage we didn’t want to leave.!!
