About this apartment rental

66 is a charming studio apartment enjoying a quiet location in popular Bluff Hill and is privately located downstairs from my main house - please note this is a basement apartment and ceiling height is 6 ft, 1.85 metres, so tall people may not find it suitable . It has it's own entrance and your own full bathroom as well as a small kitchenette area with microwave, small refrigerator, toaster and hot water kettle. No additional cooking appliances allowed in the studio (ie gas camp cooker) as the space is not ventilated for this use.
Fast wifi and tv streaming is available.

There is a private outdoor seating area for studio guests. situated on the side of the house.

Guest access is off the carport area and through laundry (which is sometime used by me). Please be aware that there is a short ramp in the entrance to the studio (in the laundry) which may be difficult to maneuver if you are elderly or have mobility issues (ie bad knees or assisted walking).
The door between the apartment and the laundry can be locked for privacy.

There is street parking for your car and you can park in driveway space for arrival and departure. There is parking for a small car at the top and to the side of the drive, however many guests find it easier to park on the street as visibility is low when pulling out of the driveway and maneuverability in the driveway is tight. However note that the driveway is steep and requires a certain amount of physical fitness to walk up. It's not long but it is fairly steep.

Mary was very helpful and accommodating the unit was clean and just as advertised. Some nice art deco touches and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was great good pressure and lovely and hot. Great for solo travellers who like walking and setting in good neighbourhood within walking distance to city centre. Bird life a plus! Walk uphill access as well described and noted by friendly host and very private, comfortable stay. Average height person no problem with lower ceiling height. Happy to recommend and enjoy 😊

We had a great time. Was very handy having our small dog allowed (with prior permission of course!). The space is quite small, especially height-wise, but that's all explained in the description, and we found it the perfect base to explore Napier from. Lovely walks around Mataruahou!

The ceiling was low but we are short and it wasn’t a problem. It had everything we needed for a short stay. We were out all day and just wanted a place to sleep, eat and shower. It was ideal.

The studio is as advertised, clean and in a good location. Mary was very friendly and helpful. She offered to let me reschedule my first night due to travel issues I had relating from the recent cyclone. I would definitely stay here again.

Although small, property suited us extremely well, we were travelling around site seeing and returning at night. The owner is just wonderful and her dog was great as well, as we missed our dogs a lot. We are close to retirement so the region’s history was of great interest to us and would definitely go back. Great holiday.

A cute little stay in a fantastic location. We weren't around much as had lots to do in Napier, so it was perfect for us, and awesome we could take our pooch.

Great communication from Mary allowed an easy drive to location. Premises were perfectly fit for our purpose and being able to have our dog was a huge bonus. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay for a weekend . Mary is an amazing host , so friendly and accomodating , and allows dogs so I could bring my furry son on vacation . The location is amazing and great for walks if you enjoy a few hills ! Very clean and has everything you need

We are 86 and 82.Perhaps not suited to people who are elderly or have walking difficulties. Otherwise the host is lovely, everything is immaculate, everything one needs is there. Uphill access from road to property. Thank you, we were very pleased with our stay. Thank you
