Welcome to Sunset Shores and lovely Carpinteria State Beach. One of the safest beaches in the world. This sweet unit on the 2nd floor is impeccable and centered right across the street from the beach and in walking distance to delicious restaurants and shops.

This cozy unit is 75 steps to the beach has been newly remodeled and has a stocked kitchen with everything to create a yummy meal. The kitchen opens up into the living area that has a comfy couch, flatscreen TV, and breakfast bar.

The bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed, a newly tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower.

I was looking for a small place to stay in beautiful Carpinteria that was within walking distance of the beach and the downtown. This unit was perfect! We had a wonderful time, and if we make our way back to the area, we will definitely look to rent this property once again.

Very pleasant place. Clean, good towels. Sheets could have been better but I’m really picky about them. No bedside table so I had to rearrange the furniture a bit, but overall a nice place. Google maps directs you wrong to get there.

The condo was small, feeling more like a studio. There were sliding glass doors across the bed nook, so… bedroom. The unit has everything you need for a stay, but way too much clutter. Even some random luggage taking up very limited floor space. The location is great, although there's no deck to enjoy it from. We quite enjoyed our stay.

Came here for a mini getaway to disconnect. The beach was literally across the street. I loved it and cant wait to come back. Some of the kitchen utensils could use an upgrade and the spray oil was expired, but it was nothing a quick trip to the market couldnt fix. I also loved the gated parking lot.

Everything was perfect would do it again! It was straight across the street from my parents old condo lots of memories!! First experience making arrangements for stay. Avocado Festival is a family tradition. Parents lived in Carp for 35 years. Very special place.

Exactly as pictured. I couldn’t figure out the parking gate but there was plenty of street parking that was accessible to the unit. Carp is such a great little town & this apartment is the perfect walkable location to enjoy it.

This is the prettiest and most modern rental I’ve stayed in! So clean, with lots of kitchen supplies and storage for our stuff. Very close to the beach and business district. It was easy to rent and check in/ out. Would recommend!

Apartment is very small, but still adequate for only two people. Unfortunately, storage space needed by guests are taken up by unnecessary decor. Example: 1) Hallway console cabinet needed for storing suitcases/backpacks is cluttered with sea-themed glassware, and cabinets are filled with owner's items. 2) Hallway space needed for ice chests and backpacks is cluttered with retro-style decor suitcases and a huge decorative bottle. 3) Kitchen shelving needed for storing guest food items like cereal, coffee, tea, and canned goods is cluttered with 20+ drinking glasses and 10+ coffee mugs, yet management allows only 2 guests. 4) Apartment has 4 heavy metal, rustic (and uncomfortable) bar stools, when only 2 bar stools are needed. Hard to sit on if you don't have much of a tush. 5) Living room space is taken up by a bulky square rolling coffee table. A much smaller table would open up the area. 6) Floating shelf over the toilet is perfect for storing guests' personal hygiene products, but holds a large metal fish decoration, making shelf useless. Other issues - inadequate lighting in dining/living room area. It's impossible to read at night in that area. Suggest brighter bulb over the counter; eliminate end table to the left of the couch and place a pole light with bright LED bulbs. Apartment is warm because the two sky lights are stuck in the closed position, making cross ventilation impossible via the living room window. We could not open sky lights.

We had a wonderful week's vacation in Carpentaria and stayed in this very cute, very turquoise gem! It was small but had a private comfy sleeping area, a wonderful shower, and a kitchen with everything one needs! Would definitely stay there again!

Unit is very small (3 would be a crowd) yet quite nicely appointed. Loved the bathroom tile! Complex location is fantastic…unit is in the back, upstairs. Walls are thin, so you can hear the neighbors and someone nearby smoked cigs, which is a distraction from the wonderful ocean air. Amenities seemed a bit light…a few bottles of water would be a nice touch.

Beautiful. Upgraded decor and clean. Of course so convenient to walk across the street to the beach. However .. 2 of us staying 7 days and only 4 towels to shower? Then after calling about it we were brought 2 more and told there is laundry onsite... Wash your own towels. I am capable of doing this but should not have to or told to do so. 7 days and 4 towels is a little ridiculous. Oh.. I did laundry to have clean towels.

Great location, very close to the beach! Very clean and I appreciated all the amenities that were available. Only bad thing is that it is very tiny, I wasn’t prepared for that. Also the cable did not work while we were there.

Good location, nice property. One note, It will be nice to have shoe-rack and more space for baggage in the entry instead of decorations like fake baggage, shelf etc.. You can add a portable rack to dry wet towels and swimming suits ☺️.

VRBO does it again!!

Every time (except once) I use a VRBO rental, the place is clean, it's exactly as advertised, and I love my stay. Carpinteria is my happy place so spending a couple of days there is wonderful. This apt had a view of the mountains and parking lot, and was just a few steps to the beautiful beach. The apt was well- furnished with everything one needs in the kitchen and a beautifully remodeled bathroom. Thank you, VRBO!!
