just wanted to provide feedback for our stay at 80 Murray Street, Callala Bay from 28/10-2/11, as nothing has been acknowledged via your message system. I have provided a screenshot of this, as I received messages from you to take out the rubbish, and to inform us that certain necessities were supplied for the first 24 hours of our stay (which they were not), however it seems my message to you was not read.
Firstly, the place was not clean, there was layers of dust around and dead bugs on window sills and under and beside beds. Our whole family suffered allergies from the amount of dust around, and I had to medicate my children for the whole stay with hayfever tablets to control the reaction. Due to this we had to spend some of the first day cleaning ourselves.
Additionally, we did not have hot water for a day, thinking the hot water service had broken, we called after hours and left a voice message, no one seemed to receive the voice message however they saw the missed call and my call was returned in the morning, upon questioning, we seemed to determine there was a timer on the hot water where it only reheats after 10pm of a night time, this would be useful to know prior! We came home from the beach and were not able to shower the kids due to no hot water, I explained this over the phone too, however was not even given an apology, nor was the offpeak/ process explained to us, we later determined the offpeak water situation from our relatives who live in Callala.
Everything in the kitchen was filthy, we had to wash all dishes before using them, additionally there was not any washing liquid or sponge to wash the dishes so we had to go and get these on the first day. There were cockroaches that came out of the oven when I went to use this.
Here is a list of further feedback items in dot point for yourselves and the owners.
Dead batteries in TV remote controls.
Lights not working in bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and lounge room.
Outside area, string of lights broken, things left around and just looked messy, no way we were game to use the BBQ! especially with all of the extra fee warnings!
The shower had someone's hair in it, soap left in the shower also with hair in it.
Hose left out the front in drive way
Laundry cupboard locked, meant we couldnt have access to the cleaning products, however it appears they were leaking out of it anyway!
It appeared a tractor was driven through the side and back yard, to do the mowing also....basically
