About this house rental
Welcome to our private guest house on our 6 acre ranchette near Walnut Creek. View our sheep grazing and other wild life. All amenities, comfort, close in. 10 minutes to BART close to SF and wine country. A couple of guests have commented about the garage opener in one of the ceilings. One of the 5 rooms used to be a garage but it was fully converted to a living space although the opener was left because there is still a small garage with a door off of that now fully enclosed room. That room has fully sheet-rocked and insulated walls and ceilings and newer floor.

Minor issues with lack of dish/hand soap and paper towels. No food seasonings. Overall it fit our needs while working out of town.

This space is lovely in that it’s big and roomy. It was comfortable and a really great accommodation for us and our two dogs. So we will definitely return. That being said, the cottage is a converted garage and there are some vestiges of its former self like a garage door opener on the ceiling of the bedroom. There’s lots of excess furniture like many empty book cases just hanging around. And there is a door to the front porch in the bathroom. So if you’re tolerant of quirky, and you like space to spread out, this is a good space for you.

This is a garage-turned-dwelling. It’s nothing special. But it is in such a beautiful setting in the hills of Walnut Creek. Minutes from Castle Rock Park.
The host is friendly and helpful. The view is really nice!
It was the perfect spot for 2 adults and 2 large dogs to layover in between selling our home and moving into our next home.
The kitchen has a few basics. The laundry is very conveniently located in the unit and the bathroom is huge.
We really appreciate Alex letting us stay on his property. We enjoyed taking our dogs walking thru the neighborhood and local trails.
