We’re thrilled you’re interested in visiting our happy place! We are a family of five and we’ve spent the last 18 years vacationing in the Glen Arbor area. Welcome to Paradise Found!
Situated at the Homestead Resort, our condo has direct sandy frontage on Lake Michigan as well as direct frontage on the Crystal River. We recently completed a full remodel including all new flooring, kitchen, bathroom, drywall, insulation, paint, built-ins, and new furniture.
We’ve maximized the space to technically sleep 8, but the size is perfectly suited for 5-6 people.
Mother Nature steals the spotlight in Glen Arbor - but there is nothing better than returning to our cozy condo after a long day exploring and enjoying the sites. When remodeling our condo, we spared no comfort-related detail. The interior space is well suited to parties of 5-6 people and is family-friendly.
Outside, there are two decks to lounge on which overlook the river and small dunes near the beach. Crystal River is located directly outside our door and flows into Lake Michigan. Grab a kayak, stand-up paddle board, or tube (all included with your stay) and float your cares away while taking in the stunning views only northern Michigan can offer. Want to be near the open water? Cross the bridge steps from the condo and find yourself on miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. Please note: there are no Homestead Beach Club privileges with this rental. You have access to miles of beach, but not to their beach club. The bunk room does not have a window, it has two doors; a pocket door to the master and a door to the living room.

One of the best spots at the homestead!
Super clean, great updated kitchen and bathroom, easy to reach the property manager by text. The only slight issue is that the bedrooms are tiny. Otherwise awesome stay and we would return.

This was our second trip to “slice of paradise” and once again it did not disappoint. It was a perfect respite during the unseasonably warm temps. The cool lake breezes and multiple fans kept the condo cool and comfortable. You really don’t need to bring anything extra… this condo equipped for everything needed to enjoy the river and Lake Michigan!
The condo is super cute, comfortable, and a perfect location to enjoy all that northern Michigan has to offer… including a kayak trip with Crystal River Outfitters in Glen Arbor. Would highly recommend this condo!

We loved the location of this condo and it was exactly as described. It had everything we needed and was very clean and well put together. This condo is lovely. Great location, nicely decorated, well kept and includes all you need- kayaks, paddle board, tubes, etc. Matt is a great host and was always available to answer questions during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful views of small dunes overlooking Crystal River directly from the condo windows. Over the small dunes is beautiful Lake Michigan. Very peaceful. Condo was set up with all the amenities. The owner was very helpful and stayed in great contact.

1st, this property is exactly as advertised and depicted in the online photos (not always the case right?). 2nd, the location is ideal. Just steps from the the scenic Crystal River and only a few more (across a small dune) to a pristine beach and Lake Michigan. 3rd, the condo has undergone a recent and tasteful renovation. 4th...well you probably got the picture. Everything you need has been provided by the owners. The condo is ideal for a couple or small family. If you're actively into water activities, kayaks, boogie boards, and a paddle board (with life jackets) are included. If you'd rather stay still and soak in the rays on the beach, beach chairs and an umbrella are at your disposal. The location within the Homestead Resort has many advantages such as an on site shop & restaurant for food/coffee. Plus you are only a 5-7 min drive to Glen Arbor and all it's offerings. Or, like us, you could take your bikes into town along the scenic Sleeping Bear Heritage trail (a 20 mile plus mostly paved trail) which has a trail head just next to the Homestead entrance (so convenient)! We stayed in late Sept when the weather was still great but the summer crowds had gone home. Most shops and restaurants were still open but some had limited hours. I can imagine the vibe is different during the peak summer times but after an active day you still get to relax on the condo's deck (or cross the dunes to the beach) and catch a gorgeous relaxing sunset! Go/Enjoy!

This was an excellent location to stay!!! The condo was perfect for our family of four and we loved the paddle board and kayaks. Also, Matt was extremely helpful with ideas on things to do. We would highly recommend this vacation location!!

I expected a beautiful condo, nice beach and crystal clear water... but I did not expect some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable! And, night did not truly fall until 10:30 - talk about Summer In Northern Michigan! Our family enjoyed a week of pure Northern Michigan bliss. Matt, Your place was perfect! We enjoyed using your beach amenities and the community grill was awesome for cooking out. As huge tennis fans, who booked our stay during Wimbledon, we appreciated the nice TV - loved how it swung out for easy viewing. Overall a great stay at at a beautiful property. Looking forward to next Summer in Northern Michigan...

Bedroom spaces are extremely tight, cozy space otherwise, which we needed because it turned out to be a cold, windy and rainy stay. Wish we could have utilized the extra curricular items available more than we were able. Hope to return to the area one day soon. Nice, clean space for the three of us.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, updated condo! The location on the Crystal River is perfect for watching the salmon. We made use of the included kayaks several times to paddle on the river. A bridge to the beach is conveniently located in back of the unit, great for beach combing and sunset viewing. The condo itself is well-stocked with everything you may need. Thank you!

Little disappointed in the way we were treated because we did not rent from the resort. Treated like second class citizens! Not even allowed to go look around the gift store.

We had a great time there and the host provided wonderful instructions and tips for the area. We found the beds comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The tv had Roku which was great and it was nice to have some water toys and beach chairs there. We loved that the beach and hiking were easily accessible.

Great location to enjoy up north Michigan!
Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property while spending a week up north. The owners provided an extremely helpful guide prior to arrival and even offered a lot of tips for their favorite places to eat and check out while visiting. The condo was the perfect size for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and the kayaks and tubes were definitely put to good use along the river - we even had a couple of calm Lake Michigan days/evenings that allowed for kayak exploration in the lake. The location on the property was perfect for our two kids who loved the little sand cove just across the bridge along the river. They're old enough where they could go over and play in the sand while we watched from the deck - and they loved it!
The owners provide really everything you could need or want and were super responsive via text to any questions that we had while on our trip. Prior to arrival we wondered if there would be enough room, but it worked out really well. The bedrooms are smaller, but they worked great and the beds were really comfortable. Overall, another perfect week for our family in a great location. Would definitely visit again!

Perfect for our family
From my first correspondence to my last correspondence with Matt, he was so helpful. Very prompt to reply and answer my questions. He was always available. He sent a renter guide prior to our stay with specific instructions about the condo and area which was quite helpful. The condo worked well for our family of 5. The rooms are well organized and thought has been given to make the best use of space in each room. The kitchen was well supplied too with nice little extras, such as tin foil and ziplock bags. Our kids loved being so close to the river and beach. We had the beach to ourselves sometimes. During our stay the Homestead was quiet. We enjoyed the use of kayaks, inner tubes, and beach chairs. The location was great for us to relax and tour the surrounding area. We loved the easy access to the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail for biking. I gave the cleanliness of the property 4 stars because although the inside of the condo was clean, the deck was not cleaned prior to our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from Matt again.

Beautiful place. Easy to check in, close to beach and Glen Arbor. We had no troubles while we were there. It was recently remodeled and decorated very nicely. My only suggestion would be to add a hair dryer to the property.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
We had a perfect getaway and enjoyed the sunsets on the beach, winery tours, Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor and The Homestead. We also enjoyed relaxing at the condo and the view from the deck. The condo is very tastefully decorated comfortable, and provided all of the amenities we were looking for.

Completely updated condo, beautifully laid out 2 bedroom, and literally 60 seconds from the beach. River access to kayak & paddleboard is right outside this ground level unit. Condo is equipped with literally everything & more you need; beach chairs, inflatables, kayaks, paddleboards, tennis racquets, and on and on. Condo was very clean and the host provided the most thorough guide/instructions for the unit I've ever seen. Host communicated & checked in to see how the stay was. When I emailed him, he'd respond very timely. Five stars all around for this unit. For reference, we have a family of five; 2, 4, 6 & my wife & I. Bunk/full/trundle was perfect for the kids. Queen bed in master very comfortable. Bathroom great size. Perfect unit for a family.

The perfect vacation!
My family and I had an amazing week at this beautiful property! I can’t say enough good things about our experience. The owner was so good at communicating with us and even had a rental guide emailed to us with every detail you could possibly think of! It helped with packing too because the owners have provided a lot of amenities for their guests. The condo was so clean, comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed the games that were there and the fact that we could watch our favorite family shows on Netflix at the end of the day. The kayaks, and paddle board that were there made the trip so much fun and we didn’t even need to pack our beach chairs or floating tubes. It was all there! We highly recommend staying at this condo and can’t wait to return!
