About this cabin rental
Summary:
The Nook is a charming and recently renovated apartment in a historic cottage right on Main Street in Mountain View. Just out the front door you'll be steps away from local restaurants, shops, music, art and more. Spend your days exploring downtown, listening to folk music or head a little further out for hiking trails, trout fishing and creek swimming.
The Space:
The Nook has one bedroom with memory foam queen bed as well as a queen sleeper sofa and one bathroom with tub shower combo, making it perfect for up to four guests. The kitchen is well stocked with all the basics for preparing your meals. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the cars pass by on Main Street from the front porch, or enjoy the more private deck just off the kitchen. There is parking in the connecting parking area or in the private driveway, whichever you prefer.
The Nook is the front half of a duplex, and is a completely separate space with it's own entrance. The back half is also a rental, Niche on Main. l. Please book knowing this is an old house that has been restored, and manage expectations accordingly while you enjoy the charm of vintage doors and floors.
Dogs are allowed with $50 Pet Fee. Limit two dogs, house rules apply.
Cancellation Policy
85% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 14 days before arrival or earlier. 50% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 7 days before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if cancelled after. No date change will be made 7 days before arrival or closer on any booking channel. Please note that no exceptions will be made to the Cancellation Policy, and that we strongly suggest purchasing Trip Insurance that would cover last minute cancellations due to illness or other unforeseen emergencies.

The Neighborhood:
Walk right out the front door to explore Mountain View! The Rainbow Cafe is just across the road, Music at the Pickin Park is a 2 minute walk away, and the Court Square is just down the sidewalk.
**You'll be right in the heart of downtown and, being right on Main Street, may hear traffic noise from the road from inside the Nook. There is a sound machine for your use.

~No Smoking in or near the Cabin
~Dogs are allowed, with Pet Fee
~No loud noise or parties
~Absolutely no UTV's, ATV’s, Trailers, or Campers allowed
~Number of guests cannot exceed the maximum occupancy as stated in the listing
~It should be noted that our properties are located in a rural and, in some cases, remote area of the Ozarks, where you will find many different forms of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, mice, snakes, eagles, wild hogs, black bear, skunks, and opossums are common, and may be a nuisance at certain times of the year. Other pests such as ants, wasps, mosquitos, spiders, bees, flies, and gnats also live nearby. Each property has a regular/quarterly pest control device, but we cannot guarantee against Guests seeing any animals or pests during their stay and no refunds will be made for this.

This property was in an excellent location; close to downtown, walking distance to restaurants and stores, and was in a safe area! The property manager was very helpful and kind! The only problem that we had, was that it did have a relatively strong smell of moth balls. Granted, we did stay during the beginning of winter, and it is an older house. Still yet, be prepared to have to adjust the smell if you stay there.

We appreciated the clean and well appointed cottage as well as its convenient location. Beds were comfortable and Kitchen items were appreciated. Could use some darker curtain on front window as lots of street light (but I wear sleep mask, so it didn't bother me personally. Front inner door needs a curtain or blind in order to allow person sleeping on foldout sofa to feel secure. Would be helpful to have an ironing board. Loved the porches and decor and the fact that there was TV w some Netflix! This was final two days of our trip and we needed some movies. We appreciated the Wifi as husband needed to work some during out trip. We very much appreciated the coordination with Mountain Momma Cookies for our granddaughters surprise.

If you're coming to listen to the music on the square you can't beat this property, no hills just cut through an empty parking lot & you're there. It's located right on Main street so you can shop & eat without having to drive. We sat on front porch with a drink & watch the cars go by. The cons for this property is Main Street is a busy road & the bedroom is at the front of the house. Luckily traffic dies down around 10:30pm, the bed is somewhat hard & not a king. The pros outweighed the cons for us by far! We enjoyed a relaxing weekend here which was our goal. Owner is very responsive to any problems or questions.

The Nook on Main Avenue was a nice cozy house. It was the very first house from the downtown area. We never needed the car to go anywhere downtown because it was very close to all the restaurants, shops, and the City Square. The heat/AC was excellent and the internet and streaming services for the TV were great.

Cute little house right off the square in the middle of everything. One block to the park and the square with lots of good music. Just far enough off the square to not hear it in the house. Perfect location. Super clean and tidy.

Property pretty much as advertised. Very clean and great location to the downtown area. Underestimated how much traffic there would be late at night and early in the morning. So some difficulty sleeping although a white noise machine was available for use.
