Overall our experience was average.

We were very warm with the heaters.

Home away from home in Forbes.

Lovely restored historic home in the middle of Forbes. Very comfortable accommodation with a fully functional kitchen and two bathrooms. Attentive and friendly hosts.

Nothing to dislike about Anglesey House.

It was so close to everything on offer

I highly recommend this as a stay , it’s was so comfortable, well appointed, roomy and a beautiful historical home, a must .

Amazing location in the centre of town. Historic building with heaps of character. Lots of space to be able to relax. Great facilities with kitchen and large bathroom.

This place has every facility you need. Next time I stay in Forbes I'll be staying here but will ensure I stay longer as the facilities are 2nd to none.

One of the best places I've ever stayed at.

There was an excellent choice of cereal, teas and coffees for breakfast. We ate outside in a beautiful spot under the verandah and next to the garden. We had loads of room - effectively a four-room apartment for us and another apartment for our daughter. Our hosts, Vanessa and Geoff, were very warm and hospitable. The house was an attractive 19th century mansion, very thoughtfully restored, with high ceilings to keep out the heat. The location was superb - in the centre of town but also peaceful - a short walk from a beautiful park and impressive town hall and churches.

Would definitely stay their again and would strongly recommend to others.

It was comfortable, clean and we felt very much at home. There was ample room for us to sit and enjoy each other’s company. Close to all amenities. Walking distance to CBD. Lovely outdoor area situated in well kept gardens. A quality property which is well maintained. Thank you Vanessa and Jeff! We enjoyed our stay.

Next time I am travelling to Forbes, Vanessa will be be my first call.

Anglesey House was impeccable. Vanessa was a fabulous host who showed us around and made sure we were set to go. The house was beautiful and so well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom was spacious, the towels were big and soft and everything was so clean and welcoming.

This late 1800s property was exquisite in every way. Beautifully furnished, very spacious and loads of surprises from biscuits on arrival and lots of thoughtful goodies. Absolutely one of the best properties we have ever stayed in.

Living History with Contemporary Comfort

Anglesey House is a beautiful Victorian home located right in the town centre. The ground floor apartment comprises the former ballroom complete with ornate period detailing, a marble fire place and original windows, and is tastefully renovated and decorated. Vanessa is a warm and delightful host who welcomes you to her home and town with plenty of tips what to see and do and where to eat. Lots of special touches too such as a lovely camellias fresh from the garden.
