Lovely big room and bathroom. Pristine, clean and very comfortable. Really good breakfast and helpful pleasant staff. Handy for train as just across the road from the station and there is a super burger bar next door too.
No parking, but parked on the street up the hill with no issues.
3.5
The property is in an excellent location, right in the centre of Holmfirth. The bedrooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds. There is also a kitchen and lounge available for guests to use.
I’ve stayed at The Nook before and breakfast service is usually always quite slow, but in the past the food has been good.
This time, service was exceptionally slow (particularly on the first morning) but the quality of the hot breakfast had declined and it was also cold when it arrived.
General cleanliness was also poor, such as ‘clean’ cups on the table actually not having been washed properly, and also not replenishing things like butter or milk regularly.
There should be an option to pay less for the room and not have breakfast.
Because this property is above a pub and next to several other bars, there is a lot of noise at night. The room could have done with a fan, as it was hot.

Room was lovely and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.
Great location especially for the Picturedome.
Great breakfast
Had to go and find someone as the shower wasn't hot. Boiler wasn't turned up.
Didn't eat in the restaurant as it was quite expensive.

The location, the room was beautifully decorated and comfortable.

Everything...a great place for a night out in Holmfirth 🙂
3.0
Location, cleanliness, breakfast all good.
Booked a triple room - one bed was made up on arrival, other wasn't. Was assured that by the time we returned later it would be made up but got back after gig at midnight to find that bed still wasn't made up and no sign of duvets/sheets/pillows etc! Had to go searching for staff, eventually went to pub and found the guy having a drink! To his credit he did apologise and said he'd forgot and then a frantic search for bedding etc! Couldn't find a bottom sheet so had to take one from another room!!!! Not what you need at that time of night.

Staff very friendly, food in the tap house was excellent. When we went up to the room, the sofa bed was made. We asked the girl if it could be turned back into a sofa as there was only 2 of us. She said yes but when we got back to the room later on, no one had been in & put the sofa bed back into the sofa which was disappointing. It kinda gave us the impression she couldn’t be bothered. The room was very clean though & we still really enjoyed our stay.
The included breakfast was extremely disappointing for how much the room cost. We actually ended up skipping it & we went over the road to a cafe instead to get a proper breakfast.

The room was a decent size, with enough hanging space for clothes. The bathroom was mostly clean although there was hair in the plughole.
The property was extremely noisy. Music played on Saturday night until after 1am, and was so loud that every word could be heard. This was coming through the floor and from other venues nearby. When I mentioned to staff, they said that it wouldn't be them but would be The Nook pub as "they like loud music". I appreciate it was the weekend but noise was not mentioned in any advert for the Rooms at the Nook. I attempted to contact the venue to move to their "quieter" sister location or have a refund for the third night. However, this request was not acknowledged nor responded to. I left a night early. The staff also required me to prove that I had paid for the accommodation on my banking app. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a good night's sleep. They are too ready to blame everyone else for any issues.

I like the location.
The Ramsden room we stayed in was very small. Too warm not enough head room on one side of the room with uneven floors. A single room with a double bed no where to sit other than on the bed. Over priced at £130.

Stayed here before but in a much bigger room
The room we stayed in this time was very small and hot difficult to sleep and unable to sit anywhere in the room other than on the bed
Constantly crouched as ceiling so low
Size of the room felt like a double bed put into a single sized room

The staff were really welcoming and friendly. The room was large and clean. It was the perfect location for our night out at The Picturedrome. Lovely food before going out too
The radiator in the room was only just warm, even though it was turned on full so the room was a bit chilly, however the duvet was nice and warm so not a problem once we were in bed!

Location good, breakfast good
Room cold with minus temperatures outside, with no central heating on / on very very low, electric towel rail was on and that was the only heat source on in the room, rang a mobile number and left message but nobody bothered
to call me back

Location and staff were lovely
The bedroom was in attic so the roof and beam bit low but that didn’t spoil our stay
2.0
The room itself was extremely small and the double bed was under a beam on the top floor. As the weather was so hot the room was immensely uncomfortable because of the heat. There was a small potable fan in the room that did nothing to the unbearable heat.
The hotel could have provided a better cooling system in the rooms. We are a group of 3 couples who all experienced uncomfortable heat. The breakfast wasn't the greatest. Food on the breakfast bar was left uncovered.

The Rooms were beautiful and located in the heart of the town, excellent breakfast, We found free on road parking at the rear of the property , one minute walk to the picturedome ,
Everything was great

Second stay here and another lovely room, book in was quick despite a festival being on, great location and a lovely breakfast. Can’t wait to go back!
Fire alarm went off in the morning but was turned off shortly after, which happened when we stayed the first time, must’ve been coincidence. A little louder at night before the bars shut but there was a festival on so no real complaints with this, particularly as you’re booking rooms over a bar/pub.

Location was fantastic. Room very clean. Price of room was very high.

Breakfast needs rethink coffee was vile 2 strong and cold

clean and comfortable, excellent facilities
breakfast took 50 minutes to come after ordering it, ran out of bread for toast and not replenished it fast enough

breakfast was good, but looked small because plates were too big
nothing, good hotel
3.5
Breakfast good, all staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast staff lady excellent.
Kept awake until 12.50 with loud chatting / laughing noise right outside window (bar table outside) until I heard someone say “ can you please leave now...”
So got to sleep at 1 then noise from room above. For this reason, unlikely to stop again because of lack of sleep mainly due to the outside noise.
