The Black Pearl receives its name from being located right on the Black River leading out to beautiful Lake Michigan along with the fun industrial and lake vibe. The Black Pearl is located within the Colonial Condominiums. The Colonial Condominiums were originally built in the early 1900's as a hotel. It offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern convenience in beautiful South Haven. Located within walking distance to the pristine beaches of Lake Michigan, the Colonial Condominiums are centrally located for easy access to local restaurants, shopping and outdoor recreation.

The Black Pearl includes:
-Flat screen tv
-Wireless Internet provided by the association
-Coin operated laundry in basement
-Nearby off-site parking for 3 vehicles
-Weekly rentals

The condo was remodeled and combines both unit 10 & 11. The entrance into the unit is through unit 10. The Black Pearl features:

-Communal large deck on the Black River and overlooking Lake Michigan
*all condos, buildings and decks are non-smoking

Please note that due to the Black Pearl being located in downtown, Summer evenings and some weekends in the Spring and Fall can get a bit noisy.

We had a fabulous time in South Haven and staying at the Black Pearl. Everything was perfect. The condo is set up with bedrooms/ bathrooms at opposite ends which allowed for extra privacy (traveled with another couple). Kitchen and sitting area is nice. Everything was so clean. The heated bathroom floor was a nice surprise! Stephanie was responsive and eady to deal with. We can't wait to come back.

This place is very nice to stay at, had everything we needed. The deck is very nice to sit and relax, watching the boats, and the drawbridge. It’s within walking distance to all the stores/restaurants and maybe a 10 min drive from the beach. Getting in was so easy and the host was very quick at answering when we had a question. Highly recommend staying here.

Had very enjoyable week. Rough start weather wise but before mid week turned gorgeous. Was a little disappointed on the information on the grill. Once we found it and the location of it made us a little skeptical about using it. Other than that we could not have had a better time. The owner Stephanie was great getting all our questions answered and not only that she was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty by offering to bring some items we left behind at check out to her home town so we could pick it up there instead of driving back to South Haven. A+ on rating

Location! Location! Location! The condo was wonderful! It is in the center of everything. Walking distance to the restaurants and beaches. The kitchen and main room were great for hanging out with the family. Beds were comfortable. The condo parking lot passes were great as we didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot, which can be huge headache in the summer. Stephanie (host) was wonderful to deal with and she answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this place. I am looking forward to our next visit to South Haven as I definitely be staying at this place again.

The Black Pearl is as beautiful in person as the photos! The interior design is wonderfully done & the beds are super comfy! The boat is an actual twin bed which my 6 year old daughter thought was the best part! Kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware you would need. Beach towels were supplied in both bedroom closets which was a nice touch. Overall, highly recommend! We typically rent bikes but were so close to everything we walked. It was a trip we’ll never forget!

My family and I were looking for a relaxing, long weekend getaway. This property was perfect for us. We were able to walk everywhere. The property was just as advertised, which was a major relief. The host Stephanie was very delightful and helpful. She was readily available by phone/email.

The pictures don’t do it Justice. The Black Pearl has everything you need and is well thought out with nice touches. Location is perfect-short walk to restaurants, shops & theater and about 10-15 min walk along boardwalk to pier and beach. We stayed three nights with our two teenagers and having two bathrooms was great. Beds are comfy, fireplace is a nice surprise and the kitchen is well appointed. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I came with another couple over New Years. The Black Pearl was really nice. The location was perfect we walked everywhere. The size of the bedrooms and the living area was perfect for the four of us. The interior was well done and we had a wonderful time during our stay. We had good communication from the owner and highly recommend the Black Pearl.

The condo is nicer than the pictures are able to show. The location is right on the river, with a huge deck for watching the boats. Walk to restaurants, downtown shops or to the many benches along the river. Large white sandy beach. Not familiar with streaming, we did struggle with the television and wi-fi was not working.

Just got home from a wonderful three day stay in South Haven, at the Black Pearl. What a great apartment it is complete with high ceilings and professionally decorated throughout. Great location to downtown and shops/restaurants and a quick walk to the lake as well. Our host was attentive, and most accommodating. five star visit for sure! Joe from Ohio.

Absolutely wonderful! The condo was even nicer in person! Beautifully appointed. Very stylish and super clean! Location was wonderful, right on a marina, with many great restaurants within walking distance. There was more to do and see than we could fit into our 2 1/2 days there. Stephanie is an amazing host! Very informative, communicative and easily reachable. I highly recommend the Black Pearl!

Excellent location - central to beach and downtown. Very nice deck overlooking river. Condo was renovated and setup nicely - just like the pictures. Was great for our group of friends since this is two units combined into one larger unit. Owner was very timely and responsive to questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

3 life-long girlfriends stayed 4 nights at the Black Pearl. The condo was in a fabulous location - easy walk to the restaurant and shopping district of South Haven, and a short drive to the beaches. The inside of the condo was very clean and nicely decorated and the owners easy to communicate with! Highly recommend - we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The condo was better than imagined...had everything you would need for your stay and then some. Condo is well maintained and is close to everything in town. We walked to shops and restaurants. The drive to the wineries was not that far either and we loved the outside deck area in the evening. Would definitely stay there again!!

This is our 5th time staying in South Haven. Q We usually stay on the beach, but this time we decided to stay downtown. It was awesome! The Black Pearl is such a nice condo with the nicest host. The beds are very comfortable and it’s very clean. We loved being downtown close to the shops and the walk to the beach was short enough! We would definitely book another stay at the Black Pearl!

Stephanie is a very kind and generous host. The Welcome Bag was such a kind gesture. We started enjoying the treats as soon as we arrived. I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. We only needed to bring our clothes and food. Everything else was considered and made available; kitchen utensils, appliances, spices, family games, umbrella for the deck, one for the beach, and a cooler. Thank you for making our family vacation so enjoyable!

Everything was perfect and went smoothly. The owners have thought of every detail to make the process great. The pictures of the property were very good but didn’t even do it justice. We felt very at home at The Black Pearl. I would definitely go back!
