Pretty detached stone house on two levels in the ancient village of Metato, a hamlet of Camaiore (LU).
The house can accommodate up to 7 people (1 double bed, 3 single beds and 1 sofa bed for two people) + 1 cot at the normal rental price.
On the ground floor there is a spacious eat-in kitchen equipped with all comforts (fridge, freezer, electric oven, microwave oven, coffee pod machine) and a bright living room with fireplace, digital terrestrial television, stereo system and sea view.
On the first floor there are instead a large triple room, a bathroom with shower and services and a double bedroom with sea view (spacious enough to accommodate on request a baby cot, provided free of charge).
The whole house is furnished in a classic Tuscan style and complete with linens, dishes and various soaps.
A wifi line is active throughout the property.
Externally the garden also develops on two levels:
- the upper part is equipped with a small hut for storage use, a wrought iron porch with a large table for the dining and barbeque area and a solarium area and hydromassage pool (6.5mx3, mx 1.5m deep), all with a splendid sea view (the flooring of this level is partially in grass and stones and partially in wood);
- the lower part houses a delightful stone terrace with a wood oven and a more intimate and cozy dining area, also with a wonderful sea view.
The solarium area is equipped with sun loungers.
The garden is for the exclusive use of guests, however neighbors have the right of way to access their property.
The house is located at the beginning of the village of Metato: this has a large parking lot from which the house is easily accessible on foot and from which it is a few steps away.
Despite being in direct contact with other houses, the house and its garden are secluded and very quiet and particularly suitable for families, even with small children.
The village of Metato is exclusively pedestrian and has stretches of uphill road, sometimes even steep, therefore it is not suitable for the elderly and disabled.
Pets can only be admitted following direct agreements with the owners and at their discretion.
Mandatory services, to be paid in cash upon arrival:
- final cleaning (at a price of € 100.00);
- towels and bed linen (at a price of € 10.00 per person).

There are so many fantastic things about this property! Francesca was so helpful and communicative. She helped us out throughout the whole process. The property is so unique and the views are nothing short of stunning! We discovered a restaurant right in the little village of Metato and enjoyed a fabulous meal there and it was just a short walk away. You can also hike up the mountain for some amazing vistas of the valley below. The property had all the comforts to make our stay something we will remember forever. Impeccably appointed and well-stocked. Our only disappointment was we did not have enough people to partake in the pizza making experience. My husband and I would not be able to eat 8 pizzas by ourselves! Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to return some day. Thank you so much!

This is a special place. It takes some time to get there and you have to carry your luggage some way, but it is worth it. The view is amazing and the house itself is also very nice. We were only missing some comfortable seating options outside. There are only tiny chairs and the standard beach lounger, which are not very flexible to set up. Would also be great to have some overlays for the lounger.
The host is very nice and is reacting very fast. If you want to have a place a bit outside from the busy life, this is it.

We had a great time in this little ancient town up the hills. It is a short walk from the public parking (about 20 spaces) to the property. Once there we could enjoy a fantastic view to the seaside. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the garden. Great location to walk in the mountains and also just 15-20minutes away from the seaside or other nice places to visit. In summary, I can 100% recommend!

The perfect Tuscan villa!
This was the best property I've ever stayed in. Everything was clean and in good taste. The property was so well kept and blended perfectly what one would need in their vacation, with the natural and cultural setting it was found.
Francesca was a WONDERFUL host and gave us space and privacy but also immediate attention when needed. It was a seamless experience

Super schönes Haus mit wahnsinnigem Meerblick
Sehr individuelles Haus mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer und über die Stadt. Schöner Pool jedoch kleiner als angegeben. Parkplätze sind oft besetzt aber an der Straße kann man parken. Insgesamt eine besonders schöne Unterkunft.

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub
Das Häuschen in Metato war super schön. Als wir ankamen, war alles sauber. Der Aufstieg zum Objekt über einen steinigen aber wunderschönen Weg war für die älteren Verwandten in unserer Familie etwas anstrengend. Insbesondere als es um das Hinauftragen der Koffer ging. Darauf haben wir uns aber schon aufgrund der vorherigen Kommentare eingestellt. Das süße Häuschen, der Pool und der Ausblick machen diese kleine Hürde allerdings wieder wett. Die Besitzerin war sehr nett, zuvorkommend und jederzeit überaus hilfsbereit. Auch ihre Reise- und Restauranttipps, die wir vor der Reise per Mail zugeschickt bekommen haben, waren absolut spitze. Nachts und morgens war es etwas frisch (Aufenthalt Ende Mai), also für alle, die auch in dem Zeitraum Mal anreisen sollten: unbedingt einen Pulli oder eine Jacke mitnehmen.
Hinweis: Der schöne Pool lässt sich auch für die kühleren Tage für ca. 10 € pro Tag aufheizen, wenn man möchte :)

Sehr erholsam
Wer vor ein paar Stufen nicht zurückschreckt und das Auto nicht direkt nebenan stehen haben muss, ist hier richtig. Man hat seine Ruhe und genießt die Fernsicht auf das Meer. Das Planschen hat Spaß gemacht, nachdem der Pool erst einmal warm war. Es ist alles da, was man braucht.

Sonniger Herbst in der Toskana
Wir haben den Herbsturlaub in dieser schönen Lage und die dörfliche Ruhe Metatos sehr genossen. Besonders ist der Ausblick in Richtung Meer. Ein echtes Herbst- Highlight ist der beheizbare Pool, den die Kinder fast an jedem Tag genutzt haben.

Petite maison fonctionnelle, au calme au milieu des châtaigniers et des oliviers. Tres belle vue du jardin et de la maison. Piscine/bain chauffé et terrasse ensoleillée idéale pour se relaxer, sans vis à vis. Si séjour en automne prévoir couverture supplémentaire ou une petite laine pour la chambre à 2 lits.

Entspannte Tage mit toller Aussicht
Totale Ruhe, Aussicht auf Berge und Meer - wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
Der Check-in verlief kontaktlos. Wir haben nicht sofort alles gefunden, aber bei Rückfragen kam schnell eine Antwort von Francesca. Auch vorher hat sie uns schon ausführlich Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants empfohlen.
Es gab alles an Ausstattung, was man braucht und wir können nur empfehlen, den Pizzaofen einmal auszuprobieren.
Wenn man Ruhe und Einsamkeit mag, ist das wirklich die perfekte Unterkunft.

Traumhafter Ort, traumhafter Blick, schönes Haus
Die Vermieterin haben wir persönlich zwar nicht kennengelernt, aber wir haben sehr ausführliche Informationen per Mail erhalten und vor allem 5 Seiten lange Tipps für Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten in unmittelbarer und mittelbarer Umgebung. Diese waren enorm hilfreich und wir haben das Haus, die Gastfreundschaft und die Toskana selbst in vollen Zügen genießen können! Wir empfehlen jedoch an den Strandabschnitten Lido Camaiore und Pietrasanta die freien Strandabschnitte, da diese kostenlos nutzbar sind, alle anderen sind meist an Hotels verpachtet und kosten teilweise richtig viel Geld. Wir sind jedoch keine den-ganzen-Tag-am-Strand-Herumhänger, sondern genießen meist nur die Nachmittagssonne frühestens ab 16.00 Uhr für max. 3 Stunden, und da ist uns das Tagesangebot mit Schirm und Liegen einfach zu teuer, das Geld investieren wir lieber in gutes Essen, und wir hatten ja einen eigenen Pool. 😊Das Haus selbst ist gut ausgestattet, es hat jedoch einige Jahre auf dem „Buckel“, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat. Die Küche und das Bad bestehen hauptsächlich aus Naturstein, welche natürlich nicht zu 100 % sauber geschrubbt werden können wie glatte Fliesen, dessen muss man sich bewusst sein, aber wir fanden es sehr bodenständig. Wir haben im Ehebett wunderbar geschlafen, allerdings quietscht es bei Bewegungen, man sollte also möglichst bewegungsarm oder mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen, dann klappt es wunderbar. 😄 Der eigene Pool entschädigt jedoch für alles, wir haben uns dort extrem wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Erholung in wunderschöner Umgebung
In landschaftlicher wunderschöner Umgebung haben wir im liebevoll eingerichteten und gepflegten Haus von Francesca eine traumhafte Woche Urlaub erleben dürfen. Wir haben alles so vorgefunden, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. Francesca ist eine sehr herzliche, unkomplizierte und vor allen Dingen hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Die Terrasse, der Pool und der Garten waren ein Traum.

Wir (2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder) hatten eine tolle Woche in dem Ferienhaus. Es war alles genau so wie beschrieben. Der Ausblick ist sehr schön und der beheizbare Pool war an den kühleren Tagen perfekt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Dass Handtuecher und Bettwäsche extra sind war im Inserat missverständlich.
Man muss wissen dass es in Metato nichts zu kaufen gibt dafür hat man hier dann eine wunderbare Ruhe.

Anlage wunderschön
Gepflegt, sauber, gemütlich.
Wir hatten wirklich einen traumhaften Aufenthalt 16 Tage lang. Das einzige Manko- das man aus der Beschreibung nicht rauslesen konnte, war der Parkplatz. Es handelt sich dabei um einen Gemeinschaftsparkplatz des kompletten Ortes, nicht um einen Privatparkplatz. Daher ist es Glücksspiel, ob man in der Nähe des Hauses einen findet. Das Haus ist nicht zufahrbar. Bei Großeinkäufen sollte man starke Männer mithaben die den Einkauf auf den Berg tragen. Das Haus ist top eingerichtet ! Alles da was man braucht. Waschmaschine und Geschirrspülmaschine haben Macken aber funktionieren. Sonnenschirme unbedingt mitnehmen! Ein Sonnensegel oder 2 große Tücher für die Terrasse als seitliche Beschattung mitnehmen.

Charmantes Toskanahaus am Berg
Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll im toskanischen Stil gebaut und eingerichtet. Metato, der kleine Ort, liegt wie ein Schwalbennest am Hang und ist nach einer kurvigen Auffahrt erreichbar. Das Haus liegt am Hang und bietet einen fantastischen Blick über das Tal bis zur Küste.
Alles entsprach genau den Bildern und Angaben der Vermieterin. Diese war sehr aufmerksam und bemüht aus der Distanz. Auch das haben wir als angenehm empfunden. Die Reparatur des kaputten Schlosses der Eingangstür wurde schnell organisiert, der Pool gereinigt, der Rasen gemäht. Der Pool ist klein aber fein, raffiniert gebaut.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen sicher gerne wieder.

Toller Urlaub auch im Oktober
Die Aussicht und das Objekt sind wie auf den Bildern....wunderschön. Wenn man Ruhe sucht ist man hier richtig. Zum Strand sind es ca. 20min und in die Stadt 15min.
Der Pool wurde auf 30 Grad erhitzt somit konnte er auch bei schlechtem Wetter genutzt werden. Das einzige Manko ist, dass manchmal Leute / Bekannte vom Hausnachbar an dem Garten vorbeilaufen um die Nachbarin zu besuchen. Ist aufgrund der Straße und dem Haus vermutlich auch nicht anderes möglich. Hat auch nicht groß gestört.
Das Haus kann ich zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la jolie maison de Francesca. La maison est agréable, bien équipée. Nous étions 6 et nous ne nous sommes pas sentis à l'étroit. La piscine est le petit plus très appréciable, tout comme le point de vue sur la mer depuis le jardin.

An Amazing Villa and host
As a family of 4 we are/were incredibly happy with this Villla. The property offers everything you need and the host is committed to ensuring your happiness. The property has amazing views and the village is incredibly charming. The renovations that have been completed at the property have ensured high comfort for its guests.
The pool is big enough to cool off and the terrace is a great spot to lounge around or the kids to play.
Don't forget to bring your insect repellent as there are quite a few mosquitos (hardly the fault of the property though!). It is also a windy drive to Metato but nothing that 99% of drivers could not handle. There are windier and worst roads in Italy that is for sure!
Camaoire is a great little town only 7-10 minute drive to the bottom of the hill where there are some great restaurants and the locals are very friendly.
The Villa is in a great location to visit places like Lucca, Sienna, Firenze, and the coastline.
This is truly a gem of a property and one that we will be returning to!
