Fantastic House
Had a brilliant long weekend with a big group of friends to celebrate my birthday. House is in a beautiful location and is a great size for a big group of people with the various big reception rooms and the games room. Well kitted our kitchen for cooking for a big group. We also took the in house catering for a night which was well worth it for the huge amount of food we got and it was all delicious. Nice and relaxing too especially as we could stay at home and not worry about going out re babysitters etc. Hot tub with the view to Arran is the dream! Would highly recommend and would stay again. Only thing to note is hot tub is usually a separate fee which it didn’t originally say on the HomeAway website but I think Noel is sorting that shortly.

We loved our stay. The house was perfect for our family -14/15 of us- with its 8 bedrooms with bathroom, spacious and comfortable common areas, and superbly equipped kitchen. The region is beautiful and offers an infinite variety of activities well described in a folder provided by the owner. We were lucky to have the housekeeper Jackie help us a couple of hours every day, so our stay was practically perfect in every way .

This place had everything for a family celebration . The kitchen was well quipped . There were a variety of lovely rooms all with en-suite and the view of Arran was one of the best .
There was so much available to entertain a range of guests that there is no need to be bored.
We all enjoyed our stay in this super place . Didn’t use the hot tub as it was a bit expensive for a weekend but we didn’t need it as there was so much else available.
Would recommend this venue for a large family event especially if you like cooking . So much equipment and fridge and freezer space .
Thank you for literally thinking if nearly everything .
Only one small suggestion , a hairdryer . We assumed there be one but couldn’t find it .

Stunning house in beautiful setting
Suleskerry House is amazing and has everything you would ever need. We have enjoyed weekends in large houses with friends for past 12 years and this one tops them all! It was very well equipped throughout and house robes was a surprising addition. We had 2 small dogs with us and even they were catered for! Each bedroom was good size and comfy beds. Huge kitchen with all the amenities including 2 dishwashers. No problem with almost instant hot water. Now, the brown peaty water does take a bit of getting used to but it was fine - we chose not to drink it and used bottled water for drinking and filling the kettle. The outdoor fire was well used - who wouldn’t want to sit out in December and appreciate the gorgeous skyline? You do need to be prepared as it is a bit of distance to Tarbert and the nearest supermarket. This suited us fine and had plenty of food and drink with us. We drove to skipness castle which had a lovely walk down to the beach and the cemetery. We also drove into Tarbert and made the muddy climb over to shell beach which was lovely and worth a visit. Other than that we pretty much made use of the lovely house and views and spent time in the hot tub. I would have no hesitation in recommending this house to friends or families wanting a quiet escape.

A excellent venue to for a sizeable group to enjoy a special family occasion, which was let down somewhat by failure for part of our stay of the central heating system leaving areas of the house distinctly cool and without hot water. Despite that, we all of us enjoyed our stay.

Suleskerry is located in a most beautiful part of the world. We were two large families vacationing for a week 12 to be exact and the house was perfect and felt spacious with more than enough space for everyone to do their own thing
We would definitely book again but for probably a month. A week was too short !!
I commend the owners ..it really has everything !

I just wanted to apologise for my daughter's harsh comments regarding our stay at Suleskerry. We had a great weekend and we thought the house was beautiful! Obviously you can't please everyone and it may not be to a 21 year olds taste, I just wish she had discussed it with us first instead of putting such a negative review on here!
Ok, yes the water was brown, but yes you did tell us about this beforehand, and we know it's not just Suleskerry that this is a problem for.
I am very sorry that there was dog poo left on the grass, not sure how that happened as we tried to check everywhere before we left.
Not sure about dirty dishes in the cupboards either, we certainly put everything in the dishwasher or washed them by hand?
The house is beside the main road but we managed to improvise by blocking off the gaps at the side of the gates so the dogs couldn't get out.
My Mum, Dad, my husband and myself did meet Jackie just before 1pm, but we were outside taking some pictures so hoped that we weren't getting in the way.
All in all we had a lovely weekend away.
Suleskerry is an older house, and it must be difficult to keep everything up to date in such a huge house!
Thanks for having us.

My family and I (all 16 of us, plus 2 dogs) stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my Granny's 70th. The kitchen was old fashioned, but in a beautiful homely way which is certainly on trend at the moment. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the rest of the house. The games room is a great idea to keep children entertained. The water, which is apparently normal for the island, was a horrible yellow-brown colour which certainly didn't seem as though it was cleaning you. I had been looking forward to having a relaxing bath, however after seeing the colour of the water, I'd rather not sit in such a bath. The floors were dirty, with visible dust in the bathroom of our room, the carpets were worn, as were the many rugs, which also felt jagged. The couches need replacing, there was no plumpness left in them, and when someone happened to pat the couch cushion, all we saw dust coming from the couch, it was horrible. Half of the beds were uncomfortable, or the mattresses slanted, and far too bouncy. When a family of 16 is staying and all need showers, the hot water does not last long, I didn't even have time to wash my body. On the second night of our stay, very late into the night (around 1 or 2am), the fire alarm went off on the far side of the house, not even on the side where the fireplace was, which we first thought could of caused the alarms to be triggered, but this was nearest the games room. This one alarm being triggered in turn set the rest of them off all through the house, which is not what you want when you have several young children, some who were terrified of the idea of there being a real fire. They claim to have wifi, however there isn't any unless you're standing right by the front door where the box is, or in the kitchen only 3 meters away. The house is much closer to the main road than what we originally thought, which did worry us, having two dogs who were running around constantly, and also several small children.
Suleskerry's only saving graces were the extraordinary view from anywhere in the house, and the enjoyment of spending time with family in a place which could hold all of us, and our two dogs.
I would not recommend this house. The owner who was there after we arrived did not go out of her way to greet everyone, not even all the adults, so half of us did not know what was going on, and the other half who had spoken to her all had mixed signals of what she had said.

Stunning Suleskerry!
Well it was so very hard to drag ourselves away from Suleskerry on Monday morning.......every single one of our party of 18 and our pets had a fantastic weekend break. Plenty of space to relax, play games, cook....Noel and Lucy provided everything required to make our stay a memorable one. We were lucky with the weather which made to views even more beautiful. A short walk to the beach was ideal for our dogs, we also visited a secluded sandy beach just past the chapel at Skipness castle which was so clean and peaceful. Being a large party of mixed ages we had most fun in the games room with everyone becoming very competitive in games of snooker, table tennis, table football and darts! I'm happy to say my daughter and her boyfriend were the 2017 winners of the table football Suleskerry Cup! The ladies of the group enjoyed sitting in the Orangerie with a glass of fizz just to get away from the antics of the gamesroom at the other end of the house! A beautiful room with gorgeous scents from the trees. I'm sure any group of friends and family would enjoy their stay.....Suleskerry definitely has something for everyone.

Beautiful view
Stayed at the house with 12 other people for a long weekend. Beautiful view over to Arran, weather not great but what do you expect in November, would be great in summer. Very spacious accommodation would easily sleep 18 people. Great for entertaining and the owners have thought of everything that you might need. Needs a little TLC but still a great house with a great view, will definitely visit again.

A wonderful home in a beautiful location
The house was fantastic and the views from it were unbelievable! Everything was ready for us when we arrived and the owners were very accommodating. The open fire was a real focal point for our group with a large stock of wood for us to use.
Whilst it is quite the drive to get there, it is well worth the journey as you get the drive through beautiful scenery and towns along the way.
Couldn't rate this place high enough! Thanks for having us.

Beautiful House - Wonderful Weekend
We booked Sulskerry House for a family get together for a 60th Birthday. The house is beautiful and has a very welcoming feel. Everyone was delighted with their bedrooms and had a lot of fun deciding which room to select as every room had its own character. The weekend we stayed the weather was heavy rain and high winds, so not much opportunity to get out and explore. However, the house had enough entertainment to keep everyone happy. Lucy and Noel have thought of everything and more for their guests. We would all highly recommend this beautiful house.

Excellent holiday home for large groups
We booked the property to spend a week with two other families followed by a week with my husband's parents and sister's family.
The house was all we had hoped for - plenty of room for our party to be together but also plenty of room for us to "be".
The house is situated on the Kintyre coast road with fantastic views looking over to Arran and has lovely gardens and a large decking area with an outdoor fireplace and barbeque.
The kitchen was very well serviced with all the gadgets and equipment we needed, even when cooking for a party of 14. we were all able to eat around the large kitchen table.
We were blessed with exceptional weather (12 sunny days out of 14) which meant we didn't really get chance to make use of the fantastic games room, but it was good to know it was there in case of a washout.
The good weather allowed us to get out and about - walking "The Kintyre Way", golf at Carradale and Machrie (Arran), biking along the coast of Arran, playing on the sandy beaches which have rock pools to explore, horse riding (Arran). The ferry from Claonaig to Lochranza (Arran) is a 5 minute drive away and runs every 1 hour 20 minutes throughout the day. We ate lunch a few times at the local Seafood Cabin in Skipness which was superb and also just a short drive or walk away (2.5 miles).
The owners were very helpful and quickly sorted out any problems we had before the problems were able to inconvenience us.
We hired bikes from "Carradale Bikes and Buggies" and these were delivered and collected which was an excellent service.
I would thoroughly recommend Suleskerry House to anyone planning a holiday for a large group.

Perfection
This is my second year at the stunning Suleskerry. No words can describe this place! It's unreal & pure relaxation. From watching the thousands of stars at night to sitting round the fire playing board games or enjoying a lovely meal round the beautiful kitchen. It's such a beautiful place. We stayed for the week and honestly it's not long enough, I personally could of stayed a lot longer. My young dog Marley joined us on the trip and she had a blast! We walked down to the beach, she enjoyed running around the garden & relaxing by the fire. Suleskerry is seriously out of this world, it's great for all age groups. We are hoping to return next year for a few nights. Highly recommend this place and the location is stunning. Fabulous views and the wilderness just gives the place even more character.
Massive Thanks Noel & Lucy

Christmas at Suleskerry
We have just spent a wonderful week at Suleskerry with our family. The games room is great for all ages and the kitchen is a real focal point with ample room for as many cooks and helpers as willing. The stunning view is forever changing with clouds sweeping in from the west and despite the fact that it was winter, the house was warm and welcoming.
We ate in and had brought our supplies with us but Tarbet is a beautiful village only 20 minutes' drive away and provisions could be purchased there.
There was plenty of hot water for us all and the ensuite bathrooms were a definite plus. We really appreciated the comfortable beds and pristine linen.
Noel went out of his way to get the WiFi working for us and that was the only glitch.
I would definitely recommend Suleskerry as a great getaway for family or friends.

Perfect
Upon arrival at the house I saw a beautiful household in breathtaking scenery, hidden away in the hills overlooking Arran in its glory. On arrival the house looks modern and glorious, on the inside it is a traditional Scottish country household with a lot of character. There was a few generations within my party and couldn't of asked for a better crowd to spend the time with. We ate home made and home cooked meals and all ate around the large kitchen table and made it perfect. After dinner we liked to enjoy a beer whilst playing snooker, table tennis and darts. If that's not your style then relaxing in the sun on the beautiful decking over looking the water. For the cold nights it is good to sit around the fire place giving you a good homely feeling. Every single bedroom was lovely and from the room I stayed in was extremely comfortable and had brilliant sleeps. Wakening up every morning smelling breakfast and going downstairs to eat but still slightly smelling the fire from the fire place the previous night was ever so relaxing, makes you forget about life at home up there, highly recommended.

Beautiful for every generation
Absolutely beautiful. Upon arrival the drive into the property is stunning with the surroundig views and the property itself. Our party included 3 generations of a few famillies and the atmosphere was incredible, from young couples to mothers and fathers. The games room, kitchen and lounge with the fireplace were well used. Being able to fit everyone (11 of us) around the dining table made the experience very comforting, the way it should be. Filled with good food and great company. The bedrooms are lovely with very comfortable beds and the views... Stunning views everywhere in the property. Will hopefully be back in the near future. It is a shame we (2 of us) had to leave early but the rest of our party are loving it.
Brilliant.
