In the middle of the beautiful and exceptional mountaintop town of Castelmola, directly above the equally beautiful Taormina, lies Casa Blandano. A pretty new and very well maintained B&B. We were pleasantly surprised by delicious ice-cold bubbles, as a welcome. The staff was very nice and provided good service. A 10 for Adriana! Her breakfast and helpfulness was exceptional. The rooms are sleek, feel like a hotel. Lovely to stay here for a few days.
"Casa Blandano B&B offers accommodation with a balcony or a terrace", this description is not accurate, our room did not have a terrace nor a balcony.
Too bad: the air conditioner didn't work well. It was extremely hot weather and we were kept on the line, without a good solution. Not a good service, because the rest was all good ... ah, one more thing: only the breakfast was a bit disappointing on the last day, unfortunately Adriana was not present then.

A lovely hotel in the equally idyllic setting of Castelmola. Has everything for a comfortable stay in a very nice area. The staff are also very helpful and welcoming. I would be happy to come back again.

The B&B was great, the staff very attentive. The breakfast was very good - variety of salty and sweet so everyone can find something they like.
Be aware that Castelmola is a village above Taormina and there is a steep mountain road to get to it with many turns, the traffic could be intense (depending on the day). We could park the car in a garage in the beginning of the village and left it there until we departed from Castelmola. We traveled with the local bus which was always on time.

just about everything & appreciated the free bottle of fizz on arrival
walls a little thin so sound travels but would not stop me going there again

This hotel is probably the best place to stay in Castelmola. It is located right next to Castelmola's main square where you can find stunning views of Taormina, restauranta, and a bus stop from which you can take several bus lines to Taormina located down below. The room we booked was very clean and neat, had a large king size bed, and a spacious clean and modern shower area. The whole room had a very high standard.
The breakfast which was included in our booking was like a feast. It included Italian and continental options and was fresh and delicious.
The service was superb! Everyone was kind and helpful. When we were going fir a full day trip to Etna, Singora Adriana came earlier to work prepare for us sandwhiches.
Overrall, I recommend this hotel. It is in high standard, has perfect location for excursions around the region, and if you come by car the owner can provide you with a parking space for 7 eur per day in the parking garage (Parcheggio Castelmola) located just a 3 min walk from the hotel. You need to drive into the garage and on the left sie you will find three parking spaces reserved for Casa Blandano (information is on the pillars). Park your car then go to hotel and check in. You will receive a parking ticket there which you will need to put behind your car's front window (to get the parking ticket you need to inform Casa Blandano that you will need one before you arrive).

Beautiful location. Great B & B breakfast was fab and plentiful.

Excellent service and very friendly staff. Clean modern room with good amenities.
Bus between Taormina and Castelmola is not very frequent. Last bus from town to Castelmola is 21:50.

Clean modern room at a great price. Bathroom new and modern and good selection for breakfast in the morning.
Air Conditioning was locked to 23- which means it will only ever sit at 25 or above. It was generally at 26 and with children it was way too hot in the room. Also we left the keycard inserted and set to 23 whilst we were out for the day to ensure it was cool enough, but on return, the display showed 27.4 degrees celsius and it was extremely uncomfortable.
This property is very small and not suitable for children especially babies.
The room was next to reception, and we could hear noises throughout the night, from outside and also from people entering/leaving due to letting the door slam shut.
Our babies stroller was stolen from outside of the property. I took my baby for a walk in the stroller at 10pm and returned to the B&B and put him into his cot (a Travel cot which was 15 Euro's per night). Due to the size of the building/access and steps to the reception, it is not possible to enter with a stroller unless you physically carry it up the steps. The next morning at 7am it was gone and I reported to the B&B who informed me that they had contacted and reported it to the police and that the owner would arrive as soon as possible to retrieve the CCTV footage. Eventually after ignoring lots of my messages, he did respond to inform me that they called the police but did not officially report it and it then took a further 72 hours after it had been stolen for the property owner to share the CCTV with me, by which point I had already arrived home to Dubai. I felt this was managed very poorly and they were only focused on the stroller not being officially within their 'property'. Regardless of how many centimeters away from their reception desk it was, the fact is that thieves operate in this area and now we are without a 2000 Euro stroller

Clean place, really nice staff, great breakfast, beautiful town with great views.
Only downside is the parking place which is relatively far from the room, so coming with a lot of luggages might be a struggle
4.7
Close to everything, also close to Piazza where the bus arrives, still peacefull and quite location.
Staff and breakfast staff very helpful. Wish I could have stayed a few nights more.
Different people dislike different things. That is why I leave this empty, because everything went smoothly from my point of view. Somebody else might think differently.

Castelmola is a tiny village, but the location if Casa Blandano is great :) We had a lovely view from the room both towards the water and the square. There was even a bottle of sparkling wine prepared for our arrival which was a very nice surprise :)
Would have loved if the breakfast seating area was outside rather than in the basement of the building, but that's just details.
4.7
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was magnificent and the place was very easy to find. Only issue was that the closest car park was a 5 minute walk away but we left the car in the square until we unloaded the luggages.

the room was clean, stuff was kind. we had a nice sea view from the balcony, actually had 2 balcony which was very cool. it’s a modern, clean, nicely decorated place.

Amazing little B&B on the top of a mountain in a little village called Castelmola. I suggest you climb up there from Taormina, the views are stunning. The room itself is like a hotel but with charm. Incredible value for the money. Amazing hostess. We felt taken care of.
4.7
+ nicely renovated room decorated with a great taste
+ breakfast was outstanding
+ our room had a spacy terrace sunny
+ very central in the little village with magnificent view
+ very friendly, correct and pragmatic reception and service
+ possibility to reserve a parking space. This is needed since the center of the village is for pedestrians only
Poor noise isolation between 2 rooms. Could cause a problem when other locators talk too loud or watch TV very late.
4.7
Staff was super friendly. Room/bathroom were very sheeky and comfortable. Breakfast was superb
The restaurants we have tried in Castelmole (which were also highly recomended by the staff) were dissapointing. We would recommend looking for restaurants in Taormina.

the location and view from the balcony is magnificent. very nice people, perfect breakfast.
when somebody opens a door there’s a noice which can wake you up

the property was exceptional!! we could not ask for more, they cared about the smallest details, it was super clean and organized, the staff were very kind and welcoming, the location is perfect and the breakfast was delicious.
4.7
This is a beautiful hotel in an incredibly picturesque location. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too.
The room and the size of the hotel (mostly the breakfast area) was underwhelming. It’s also worth noting that the location isn’t easily accessed by vehicles.
4.7
Newly renovated with modern standard and nice contemporary look. The bed was comfortable, windows have shades and it is possible to make full darkness. location is super convinient - super close to the piazza where you can park a car for a few minutes to unpack. The public car park (7euro a day) is pretty close. The view from Castelmola is superb, but ithe city is small so apart from a short walk (5min) to a caffee or restaurant and admiring the views, there is not to much to be done. Our trip was in begining of december - the bar on the piazza and turissi bar were the only open venues at the time.
4.7
I really enjoyed the appearance of the acommodation, also it was very clean from the inside.
4.7
The breakfast was amazing!!! We had a really good selection of fresh food. The staff were super friendly and the place was very clean. Superb!
The place is so beautiful. I would say the only thing which bothered us, was that you get to hear everything your neighbours are doing or saying in their rooms, which is quite annoying.
