Quirky room with shutters very close to the city centre . Comfortable , clean and very cheap. Next door is a good restaurant also run by the same family. The staff were all lovely . They allowed us to store bags after checkout and called as an Uber and paid for it off their own account , when we left to pick up a hire car.
Steep stairs with heavy bags or for those with mobility issues .

Central location near bars, shops, restaurants
Lots of character.
Did not have double glazing and opposite noisy bars that stayed open until late. Not an issue for me but may not suite some people looking for an early night in quiet location

Lovely guest house in a super old looking building. Location could not be more convenient, you are just inside the city gate and around the corner from the cathedral; it is by far the best value rate within the old town. We loved our room and the shared facilities were very useful, especially if you're staying a bit longer. We didn't interact with any staff while we were there but it was very clean and well maintained. We would have loved to learn more about the building's history.
There was an air freshener in the bathroom with a powerful scent dominated the whole room. We also couldn't move the twin beds together to form a double, but this wasn't a big deal. The duvets are a bit thin for winter/spring but there's an AC unit to heat the room.

Located in the center of Braga. Very nice and cozy room.
Be careful of using Google Maps when you search for the address because you will be lead to a wrong location (2 minutes away from it). But this is not a problem of the owner that's why he deserved a top review.

Great location, 5min walk from main square in Braga. Rustic room with small leaving space and a room upstairs on a mezzanine.

The location is great.
3.5
Good location – on the edge of the old town, everyplace that we wanted to visit by foot was nearby.
The room was big and had everything that we needed, clean and cosy as well.
Something to have in mind is a busy street our room windows were facing. It remains noisy even at night, so consider bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Everything other than the noise!
Please talk to Marco - his restaurant recommendations are good and make me full and content for every meal!
It's on the major roads of the city so you can imagine the loud noise on the road and from people passing by. I doubt if the landlord can do anything about it though...

The location was fantastic with the great proximity to restaurants and sightseeing opportunities!
We had to climb 3 sets of narrow stairs to get to our room which was a bit of a challenge with our carry on luggage.

Beautiful room in a historic building. The location is exceptional, near the cathedral, and many restaurants. Our host, Marco, was very accomodating. We took a day off from our camino to visit Braga and he allowed us to drop off our backpacks prior to check-in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very modern. Loved staying here!

Excelent choice

The house is unique and quirky, stylish with original features.
It was nicely located in the old town (but on the main road throigh it).
Relatively clean.
The host was really nice and helpful, so that is 11/10 (I am sorry for my honesty here, but the place is noisy and if a guest is looking for peace at night, it is just not this property).
Constant noise ruined the stay.
I did not have a single night of good sleep, either being unable to fall asleep due to constant (24/7) beeping of the nearby traffic lights, going at 30 second intervals. Thought I'd go mad. The property is on a relatively busy street.
Then, people on the street woke me at night, just like the child next door (sure, it is no one's fault that the other guests had a little child but it is just not great to hear the child go crying and screaming at 2 am or 7 am, when it feels like it is in your bedroom; no modern insulation of the windows or inside).
So, sadly, the noise was horrible and made me a zombie due to lack of rest. For that reason, I was happy to leave.

The architecture, its location, responsiveness of the property manager (?)

Great location beside Old Town, lovely room and building
Constant noise of cars at night time sometimes until 2 am and and sometimes people outside my room talking Room at front was beside cobbled Street which was so noisy with constant traffic making sleep most nights impossible. Would be fine for a few nights on holidays but as I was competing in European Masters competition this was a huge problem even with ear plugs.

Location was great. Host was friendly and helpful. Shared kitchen and lounge available.
Stairs are a bit steep but not unexpected for such an old building.

Very nice location, close to many interest points in Braga. The host is very polite, gentle and kind, and he speaks English very well. The building has been recently reviewed but has kept the original aspect: the overall internal design is amazing. Tidy, clean, everything was just perfect. Highly recommended!
