Friendly staff in a great location
It was exactly what we expected

Great location for the end of the day on the trail. It had a bed, shower, and comfortable pub area. Nice breakfast.
Furnishings and finishes could use a update.

Comfortable room. Pub and restaurant in the same building. Great food. Convenient location. Very friendly owners.
There was a Scotland game on and it got a bit wild. Thankfully we had ear plugs. Nothing the hotel staff could do really so it’s not a negative point at all really. Just an FYI for future travellers.

When we arrived we walked into the pub area and was greeted by the lady who worked behind the bar ( sorry i didnt get her name ) she was so lovely and made us feel welcome after a wet 9 mile walk from Kings House Hotel,
We ordered drinks and home made mince and tatties while we waited for our room. Our room was clean and cosey with a comfy bed and an ensuite toilet and shower. In the morning we had a hearty breakfast before heading out to Fort William.

Room bright and clean. Handy having food available in bar. Not as noisy as I was expecting being over the bar area. Great breakfast.
Creaky floorboards and doors but didn’t bother me too much

Really good breakfast.

people were very welcoming and friendly
Th squeaky floors in corridor kept us wakened as they were very noisy. I got a hair in my egg on the first morning breakfast which put me off. ear plugs were provided but no sound proof from other rooms. we had to leave 2 days earlier due to family. and never received an offer of any refund. was not worth £100 per night

Right on the WHW. Welcoming pub with helpful knowledgeable polite staff. Products in shower room. Drying room. Backpacker friendly. Good powerful hot shower.
Uncomfortable and very squeaky beds. Furniture and door frames bolted together. Poor mattress. Poorly fitting and poor quality sheets and pillows. Mould in bathroom which could easily have been wiped away by a cleaner. Shower door didn't close so water leaked on floor . For the price ( our most expensive night on the trail ) it was a disappointment .

We stayed here as part of our West Highland Way trip. The warm pub downstairs was a nice place to spend a rainy afternoon. Our room was simple but totally functional. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice, served with a smile.

Not vey comfortable beds

Facilities were clean and cosy. Upper floor had a nice smell. It noisy because of thin walls but free ear plugs were provided
They are bad people! After writing a bad review on Google because they charged me twice for the room, they insulted me as a nut job.
The incident has been reported to booking.com as the owner shows absolutely no cooperation in clarifying the matter of the double payment. He tries to take me for a fool and says the withdrawal on my credit card is just a pre-authorisation. It seems like a fraud attempt!

Stayed one night while on West highland walk. Good breakfast in the morning and has a bar restraunt downstairs for dinner. Comfortable and convenient while hiking.

Perfect location on the West Highland Way. Booked a family room which was a great size for 3 adults (and families I guess). The bar was nice and relaxed and food was great.
Rooms were really hot, this helped dry the kit but made sleeping a little hard.

location! directly on the WHW
smell of cleaning supplies was overwhelming

The food and breakfast were great.
Sadly we had a very uncomfortable night’s sleep, as the pine double bed had a broken centre support rail, which caused us both to roll into the middle and the bed to sink, Looking under the bed there seemed to be a missing support leg as there was an exposed screw in the centre of it and the bed was broken . I had to put my suitcase under the bed to support the bed and protect my dog from being seriously injured.
I reported this to the manager and was told sorry “about that I sort that”. For the cost of our stay I would of hoped that the bed would have been a better quality.

Great staff, working like trojans. Nice evening meal, good breakfast. Family room very spacious.
Squeaky beds and quite springy. Decor a bit shabby. Room quite cold too.

The breakfast was good with good service. Dinner was OK, although the choice was limited, but the service was fine. The hotel is conveniently placed in a small town / village and was OK for a stopover. It was also conveniently placed for anybody wishing to visit the Ice Factor, the National ice climbing centre in Kinlochleven.
The corridor leading to the bedrooms and our own bedroom floor were very creaky and quite loud. The bed was also creaky, especially when you sat down on it, but it was reasonably comfortable.
