Beautiful, spacious, peaceful, cozy, and very clean rooms in a nature-centric location. The views of the mountains, sunrise and sunset are magnificent.
Moths inside the room due to open spacing and cracks from windows. Thanks to other reviews I was mentally prepared for this so thanks to everyone who mentioned it.

I really enjoyed the zen feel of Samai. The staff and other guests were great. I really loved the attention given to making me feel comfortable and the food was always very tasty and beautifully prepared
The wifi went out the last couple of days, but I just used my cell data. So some things were a little slower connecting to connect to things I needed to do.

The place is an oasis of tranquility and luscious vegetation. There is spacious outdoor dining place that serves breakfasts and dinners, and the food is delicious and the staff very friendly. Adjacent to it, is large space for hanging out and watching TV on a large screen. There is a spectacular view of the Pacific from some spots of the vast property.
The property is located on a hill and the access road is very steep. Unfortunately, I rented a small car (Chevrolet Spark) with manual transmission and had to really step on it in gear 1 to get going up the steep heel. If you rent a car it may be worth to choose a car with more powerful engine, especially if you plan to go to other places in Ecuador, as the Andes mountains will make you regret your economical car selection.

A peaceful oasis for our family. A great place to stay with kids in Ecuador - it's very safe and a fun property to explore. The rooms were clean, the location stunning, and the hosts friendly. We enjoyed every part of this stay and wish we could have stayed much longer.
Not a thing.

Our stay was very relaxing, quiet and tranquil.
The property is a bit difficult to access since it is on a dirt road up some steep hills. The taxis in the area all know where it is so that is good. During our stay it rained and the road got slippery so the taxi was spinning to make it up the hill.

If you're looking for a paradise in seclusion, you've come to the right place. The hotel is owner-operated, is located in the middle of the cloud forest, has a pool, offers fantastically good massages and has a phenomenal view of the sea and the surrounding landscape. A restaurant serving freshly prepared Ecuadorian cuisine rounds out the offerings. The staff speaks mostly only Spanish, but thanks to Google Translate and hands and feet, it can all be managed.

the view, location
the rooms had a lot of humidity and the smell felt very strong.
I understand that the hotel is located in the middle of nature but I didn’t like that the animals get inside the room.
And for me, it was very shocking to get up in the morning and see next to me a big spider.

the location is really nice you are in the middle of the jungle but you have to be prepared because the weather sometimes is unstable
the property is located on top of a hill and it is not easy to get up, especially if it’s wet it becomes very slippery, the other thing is that the last day of our stay our room was invaded by insects and they say that it happens because you are in the jungle but it is hard if you are not used to it.

The view was beautiful. The owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was okay. Very quiet peaceful environment.
In the rain forest so a lot of bugs. No one’s fault. Just Mother Nature. Our upgraded king suite didn’t resemble the photo on the website. Refrigerator wasn’t working.

Absolutely gorgeous place, so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are lovely and have an excellent view of the jungle and beach! Tania is an incredible hostess, so friendly and helpful, made my stay so much more enjoyable and relaxing. It is away from the main town of Montanita but only a $5 taxi when you want to go. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to chill out and relax
