It was an amazing stay that provided a comfortable and fulfilling experience that will leave you with a lasting impressi

Our entire group absolutely loved the outdoor area with the pool and sun beds. We enjoyed the weekend having such great accommodations.

The apartment sadly didn’t have any cutlery to use or a microwave to heat up leftovers.

מקום עם אוירה קסומה, עם המון ירוק מסביב, בקרבת אגיוס קיריקוס , המרחצאות התרמליים העתיקים של לפקאדה .

המקום נמצא ממש בחייק הטבע. מוקף עצים. הכל ירוק. יש במקום בריכת שחייה מקסימה. נחל זורם על יד. אהבתי את הגינות, את גן הירק, את האוירה. בנסיעה של 10 דקות מגיעים למרחצאות עתיקות של מים תרמליים. בנסיעה של כ 5 עד 6 דקות מגיעים למרחצאות של.לפקדה. אגיוס קיקרוס נמצאת ברחק של 3. דקות נסיעה. קיבל את פנינו מנהל המקום אנסטיס, שקיבל את פנינו בחביבות רבה. והיה מוכן לעזור לנו בכל מבוקשנו . יש סופרמרקט במרחק הליכה של 5 דקות,דרך היער.

אחרי שהתארחנו במספר מלונות ובתי הארחה ברחבי איקריה ופורנו,שהיו בנויים מאבן, והיו מפוארים למדי,עם מרפסות שצופות אל נופים מדהימים, הגענו לכאן לבית עץ (צריף). מודה,שברגע הראשון רק רציתי לברוח מכאן,ולחפש בית הארחה עם נוף כפי שהורגלנו. אך בגלל שהשיה היתה מאוחרת והיינו עייפים נשארנו לישון כאן, למרות שכפתחנו את הדלת היה מאד חם בחדר,אך כעבור מספר דקות המזגן עשה את עבודתו, והיה נעים בחדר. ישנו היטב במיטה הענקית והרכה. כשפתחנו בבוקר את הדלת החדר ראינו את כל הירוק מסביב וחשנו את האוירה הקסומה של המקום, ובחרנו להישאר כאן עד סוף חופשתנו.

An absolute disaster - book with great caution

I urge everyone considering booking a room here to reconsider. 1) ROOMS ARE NOT CLEANED DAILY I asked the cleaning lady as well as messaged the administrator through Booking to have our room cleaned. The cleaning lady told me they only do it every 3-4 days (I booked for seven nights). I pointed out it was the third day and she told me I booked an Airbnb so not to expect cleaning. I actually searched for hotels and this property was classified as such. They don't even freshen towels or provide sufficient toilet paper (my mom purchased toilet paper for her chalet the day after her room was done). During our stay there, the room was cleaned once, and that after a lot of hassle. 2) NO WASHING MACHINE Under amenities, and I have a screenshot of this, it's listed that the chalet has a washing machine. There isn't one in the unit and when we asked for it, we were told that the washing machine they have is for their own use. I specifically looked for a place with a washing machine. There are other discrepancies as well between amenities on site as listed on Booking and what's actually available (or working) in the rooms. 3) NO RECEPTION OR EASILY AVAILABLE STAFF Don't expect to find someone on the property during the day to assist you with any issues you may encounter. 4) COFFEE/BREAKFAST All places to purchase coffee or breakfast are a drive away. If you order through the hotel, it takes at least 45 minutes to get a coffee. We tried it. 5) WIFI Do not book if intending to work during your stay. I spent over six hours transferring 10 medium size files one night.

A great stay with excellent service

The service provided by the staff was excellent, the room we booked was spacious to host our family (two adult and three kids). The beds were super great as we noticed this is not so common in Greece. The garden is beautiful and you can pick all the Vega .tables and fruits for your own consumption. The swimming pool is large enough for a fresh dive

The route to the place is a bit tricky the first time. It is important that you follow the signs, leave the harbour left so towards the ‘city’

Out of the ordinary

The place is quite unique. Lush garden with pathways and stone houses. The young host was very professional and efficient.

15 minutes walk from the village (going downhill is fine, but for the uphill we took a taxi).

lovely place & lovely people!

On Ikarian Standards - this is probably a 5 star 😅 Pool, Celler, Quality investment into this place - giving you that nature experience yet good sleep! Anestis was Superman - tends to people and works on maintaining the place!

The only thing was - if you ever choose the tree house ( you’d have a great view) , it’s tight if you’re a heavy traveler (many bags) and if the Island gets windy (the tree does slightly shake ; not a life threat - just noisy! if you are a light sleeper go with the other apartments!

Avoid. Would not stay there again.

It’s in a large property full of trees and greenery. It has its own vegetable garden.

The room was virtually uninhabitable. It shouldn’t be available. It was literally a very low attic (most of the area was <170cm height) full of the owner’s junk (stuff like old suitcases/trunks and rusted chains) posing, I guess as antiques, up three flights of stairs on an extremely narrow twisting staircase. The property had one person trying to do everything, a very helpful amazing young man named Anestis. The owner was around but claimed “I’m also here on vacation” as soon as he saw us and took off.

A beautiful rustic cabin, and a wonderful experience overall

A very peaceful location, very quiet and absolutely gorgeous! The cabin was idyllic, very cute and perfect for a romantic vacation. The staff was very friendly, especially when we blundered on our first day, and locked ourselves out. Very comfy bed, and amazing bathroom.

While we didn't care much about this, it's important to acknowledge a few minor problems: - the TV wasn't working: it was unplugged, and when we plugged it in, it wouldn't work. We didn't care much, the island is not for sitting around and watching TV, but if you're planning on watching something late at night, check that it works beforehand; - electrical troubleshooting: because it's a cabin, I guess the electrics aren't super great, we had to turn off the boiler's safety in order to shower. Not exactly safe to have people playing with the electrical safeties; - Bugs galore! This we knew was gonna happen, so we prepared, didn't bother us that much, but if you're going, maybe make sure you buy a fly/mosquito repellant thingy, just for your peace of mind.

Ghost house impossible to find

Isolated place in a olive grove

As the access to the structure is not signposted, it's almost impossible to find it. Our taxi driver had to be guided by phone by a member of the staff. Even at the entry gate and at the parking, you find no mention of "Captain Ikarus". We never found out whether there was a reception somewhere. The woman who showed us the room when we arrived at 6pm spoke only Greek (except a few sentences like "breakfast is between 9am and 11am") and tried to answer our questions thanks to a smartphone application. So we learned that a early breakfast (at 8.30 instead of 9am) was impossible, that a restaurant for dinner was in the center of Ayos Kirikos and could only be reached by taxi, that this ride would cost 14 EUR and that the taxi should be booked 1 day ahead. We found then a good restaurant for dinner at 15 min on foot by ourselves. The next morning, we went on foot to the ferry port (with our luggage) and had breakfast there, before the departure of our ferry at 9.30am. The accommodation was very idyllic, in the middle of trees. As the night was windy, the branches of these trees touched almost continously either the roof or the facade, often in a very loud manner, so that is was almost impossible to sleep. Each time when we awoke, we had the impression, that somebody else had entered the room.

Ms Asimina, the caretaker, was very kind and helpful, and prepared a great bre.

Poorly equipped. Had to ask for bedside lamp! Very bad closet (not nailed to the wall and thus dangerous for the baby, no hangers nor shelves), we had it removed. Kitchen is not common as mentioned! Cold water at the shower

Very good experience overall

We stayed in a 2 bedroom lovely appartment under the main building. It is very comfortable (AC, mosquito screens, washing machine, ...). Excellent bedding. The property is truly beautiful (olive, laurel, fig trees everywhere), extremely well kept, quiet and relaxing. The pool area is charming. The breakfast is very good with home made preserves and the hosts are nice.

One suggestion would be to provide some basic tableware (cutlery, plates, glasses and mugs) as well as a kettle and coffee machine. It would be a minor investment to bring the experience to the overall standard of the accommodation and surroundings. We felt a bit frustrated not being able to prepare a nice cup or tea/coffee or cook some light meal after a big day out exploring the island, especially as the kitchen is big but has no equipment at all except the fridge.

Disappointing

The “tree house” has huge gaps letting in swarms of mosquitoes and other bugs. Be prepared to be bitten on all exposed areas at night. The spiral staircase requires you to use your hands and feet. it creaks terribly and wakes up everyone if you need to use the bathroom. The toilet smells terribly. We left early (after about 3 days of a two week stay) and the owner did not offer even a partial refund. I know it was in his right to keep all the money but it would have been a sign of concern.

Incredible treehouse experience

The hosts we're brilliant, very helpful and also provided a delicious breakfast. Super clean accommodation with lovely views from the wonderful treehouse. It exceeded all expectations and really made for a great stay. Located both near the town center and the beach we couldn't have asked for more and even made friends with a great cat called Wiki.

Lovely oasis just outside town

This is an amazingly beautiful property. The facilities are immaculate and so many details are well thought out. Loved sitting on the picnic bench chatting with other guests over a delicious breakfast. Loved how our room opened to a private table and chairs. The host was wonderful - extremely friendly and accommodating.

The only downside for us was the room we stayed in had a loft bed that was more appropriate for kids than adults. Thankfully there was a pull-out couch below as well, which was very comfortable.

High expectations but disappointed

The location is beautiful and close to the town of Ayios Kyrikos if you have a car. The property is beautiful and the idea behind the “resort” style hotel is good. The room was comfortable. The lady preparing breakfast was pleasant.

While the facilities are nice they are sorely lacking. There are problems with the plumbing causing the toilet drain to smell and also the shower to leak into the bedroom. The staff were sadly very disappointing in the treatment of guests. The gentleman that received us was not suited to welcome any guests. They absolutely need to improve their hospitality skills.

Great views, unique experience sleeping in a tree house, very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and I had an amazing omelet for breakfast. Walking distance beach
