The Zetland, Grandeur by the sea

The apartment was fantastic. The grandeur of the apartment, the location and view and the modern updates made the stay very enjoyable. Was hard to fault. We have nothing so old and with so much history yet so well maintained in Australia. The team managing the property were very helpful and were prompt in rectifying any issues. The online guide was also really well done and not something I've seen before. It helped us being new to the location.

Nothing at all. Front door needs a handle on the inside as is quite hard to open and close and internet details need to be revised on the guide and the print out in the apartment, but would be easily resolved.

Exceptional

Gorgeous apartment in a fabulous location overlooking the seafront. Decor was amazing and every little detail had been considered. Really comfy beds we both slept so well. No noise disturbance despite being in such a central location. Highly recommended!

Stunningly apartment, in ideal Saltburn location, lacking a few practicalities for everyday living.

The interior decoration was outstanding and the balcony views over countryside were excellent, sea views only just from a corner of the balcony! . We visited on a very sunny week. Everything was clean and tidy. The building itself was an excellent example of sensitive restoration and preservation of Victorian and Edwardian features. It position in relation to access to Saltburn facilities, walks and beach is perfect - as long as you can cope with the cliff ascent and descent. Parking on site and free parking in the roads around the building.

We had an elderly person with us and were not aware that there are at least 6 steps up to enter the building from any external door. There was an external chair lift but this could not be accessed by holiday makers. There is a small lift once inside the building. Seek clarification if any person needs to solely use a wheelchair to get around. The apartment is dressed by an interior designer in a stunning way but practicalities are overlooked - drawer and wardrobe space, limited work surfaces in the kitchen, no provision of dishcloths, tea towels, mop and bucket etc. The beds are 1 double, one small double and 1 single with a truckle bed below, if using both of these they only just fit in the bedroom. We expected the en- suite room to have a bigger bed.

Had a lovely comfortable stay.

Lovely very roomy apartment in a very good location, loved the views from the balcony. Full height windows in master bedroom and sitting room gave the place a feeling of opulence. Would stay again. Highly reccomended !

no hot water for the whole duration of our stay which meant we were unable to enjoy swimming in the sea

lovely flat vey comfortable and homely

lovely apartment well appointed, lovely furnishings very comfortable and extremely clean lots of little extras to make your stay comfortable, games books and basic cooking items

the apartment didnt have a sea view - a very pretty view over the Italian gardens and various attractions like the bandstand the apartment whilst having a lift to all floors has 6 steps to the entrance hall where the lift is located - you need to be able to get up these steps before you can access the lift

Excellent apartment in perfect location

We loved this apartment. It is spacious, beautifully decorated, well equipped and perfectly located in the centre of Saltburn, in the historic Zealand Hotel. This is as good as it gets, and we have no hesitation in recommending it.

Comfortable stay in luxurious appartment would recommend and would definitely stay again.

The property definitely has a ‘wow factor’ beautifully furnished and very spacious, well equipped, comfortable beds, with good quality bed linen and towels. Although there is no sea view, it is well located just around the corner from some lovely little shops, bars and restaurants and within easy walking distance of the seafront. Allocated parking space is a bonus.

Lack of thermostats on radiators meant the heating was either all or nothing, which made the bedrooms very hot for sleeping. Lack of wardrobe space, if you were staying for a week or more you would struggle as only one single wardrobe the other two in main bedroom are locked. Key safe is not marked with ‘M’ as stated in info, so had to try them all before finding the right one.

Lovely luxurious apartment

We had just spent 3 nights in the 10 Zetland but wanted to extend our stay so decided to book this. This apartment was amazing. Large rooms, lovely kitchen and lounge area, just prefect for relaxing after long walks on the beach and pier. 2 good large bathrooms with lovely showers. Perfect location minutes from the beach. Milk teabags coffee provided by the host in addition to other useful kitchen items eg foil, oil and condiments. Radio, alexa, apple TV and you can log in to Netflix. This is the first time I've had a holiday in the UK(usually go abroad but haven't due to covid) that I felt like I'd actually had a real holiday and break. We will be booking this again.

The only negative things to mention are that it could have been cleaner for example the carpets had not been hoovered properly and there was dust build up on the bathroom fans. Secondly the keysafe needs to be labelled! The balcony is a very good size with furniture, there is a minimal view of the sea.

Superb

Location, size of apartment, luxury furnishings and decor, verandah.

Difficulty accessing property due to insufficient/inaccurate information provided. For a luxury apartment with quality crockery and cooking facilities, 6 cups, 6 side plates and 6 cutlery sets was woefully inadequate and we kept having to get them out of the dishwasher and hand wash.

First time visit, definitely won't be the last , would highly recommend.

The apartment was amazing! From the decor, facilities and comfort, to the location, literally nothing to dislike. Also added bonus of a designated parking space.

A little clearer instructions for the key safe ! Possibly label the box so guests don't have to try each one to find theirs.
