The BnB really felt like a home. The cleanliness was perfect in the rooms, in the common areas, the kitchen, very clean and very well kept.
The decor was beautiful and furniture layout in the rooms were functional and not too excessive. Just right.
I adored the deck just outside the common area to enjoy after breakfast and sipping the last of the tea.
And just across the parking lot is a bar/grill with drinks a plenty and good varying food options right there in walking distance. Oooo.... And for those that love walking along a lake shore, less then 1/4 mile walk from the BnB is a great walk of seeing businesses and historic homes. So perfect.
And the weekend homemade breakfast is just chef's kiss to heaven. Mwa! Would have loved to be able to have met the owners, but the worker there, Lynne (Sp?), was so kind and personal and even made suggestions of events going on right around the corner. Definitely a good spot to feel the southern Louisiana historic feel without the bustling NOLA scene.
I would say maybe the space gap under the front door of the room was a bit much. Not because of peeping, but it felt like conversations being had could be heard in the hallway if anyone happened by. It might be worth putting a cushion panel underneath, or even a decorative pool noodle with a split in it.
Outside of that... The Fountainebleau room's bathroom was just a little small... Especially with sharing the space with 2 people. That, and I actually slipped and fell on the tile floor when I stepped off the shower mat and I hit my head on the toilet. All good, no injuries (I steppd just a bit too far forward), but still... If someone is way too sue happy, I can see that being a problem.
Last, though the mattress was a high end memory foam, for those that are side or belly sleepers, it may not be the most comfortable, but still got zzzz's and didn't feel like death getting out of bed.... So bonus.

OH MY GOODNESS!! Everything was absolutely AMAZING!!! The check in process was easy peasy. They have a kitchen with coffee or tea ready at all times. The room was cute and comfy. Everything was spotlessly cleaned and there was an elevator so we did not have to bring our luggage up any stairs! We were super excited to see all of the decoration details of the main floor and our room. There were treats in our room to add a special touch to your arrival. We traveled during the week, so we were only able to have the continental breakfast, but will definitely be back to try the cooked version! The hostess/owner was a joy to speak to the morning we were leaving and actually have a mutual friend. The home is located super close to the water and we were able to take a wonderful afternoon walk in the beautiful greenspace. There is a bakery about a block away with lovely pastries and a bar next door with craft beers. It was a great experience!
