Leaving.
Caveat Emptor! BUYER BEWARE!
Anything “hospitality” is not included at this place. Do not be fooled by fake reviews.
This place is a tangled hairball of fakery, rules and rudeness, packaged in cheap wrapping paper. Booking says kids (over 5) are fine, in the Child Polices. The Host, “Charles” says none under 21.
Do you have a question? Best not contact whoever the host is unless you filter it through “booking”
Wonder where to find coffee in the morning? Look that up on the net.
I should have known.
Fun Fact: You won't meet “Charles,” but you will meet a lady who will demand your ID to confirm that you are not some random mystery guest. You could be, by unbelievable odds, just some random passer-by who showed up in the dark, remote woods of VT, at the same hour of your scheduled arrival.
And don't even think about flexible check in times.
With endless badgering over the “App” that you may or may not have, plus countless email relays demanding your arrival time, don't be late.
Don't forget to take your shoes off should you leave the doormat. Never mind the trips to and from the car. It's a rule.
How about a hot shower? Better have your own soap and towel.
Hang it in the bath to dry? No-no, it will be thrown away.
Relax with a little TV? Nope. But you can stare at the crooked mount where it once was.
When seeking a hospitable place to stay, go where you are treated well and with a smile.
Pro Tip: This is not the place.
And “booking dot whatever...” Nope. Worthless.

Very unique stay with great location. Super clean and the curtains were a nice touch. Sherry was very friendly and we appreciate her help.
Check in experience could have been a bit quicker and more efficient.

Host was very kind and hospitable. House was clean and comfortable.
Shared bathroom; however, I didn't have to wait at any point to use it.

If going in the winter, have snow tires because the driveway is inclined and has curves, so on snow it can be slick.

Very cozy home and the ambience was perfect for our night stay!
The only thing was that we arrived very late.

Buyer be ware. Check other reviews BEFORE booking! This is a never again story. Local authorities are very familiar with this property owner complaints from "guests" who paid her to be harassed.
I texted, you can't call they don't answer and no voicemail. I gave 2 hours notice I'd be in the area earlier than I originally expected. No reply. This is a warning. The female owner is caustic.
I drove to the END OF THE ROAD, NO TRESPASSING, PRIVATE DRIVEWAY, on a hill at 6pm to find NO ONE there! No lights on! I went to the door which has a dashcam and the woman texted me saying you have to leave! She claimed the snow plow was coming and it was already plowed!
I was able to leave and returned at7pm. This woman was rude from the get-go. Insisting that she was right and I was wrong. No hospitality at all! Insisting that I remove my shoes in the frigid hallway, not allowing me my drink an ice tea in the room, claiming I could only have water, not providing any glass.
The bathroom adjacent to the first floor room, was to be used by everyone the owner claimed. I said oh you are having more guests tonight. She claimed yes and that was untrue. No one else came. It was creepy. The owner set off the smoke alarm behind a hallway curtain, next to the bathroom. She opened the door to let the smoke out and it was already freezing cold. No apologies for the inconvenience or danger . She also was talking to someone else who was there that I never saw.
The room was pretty, the bathroom had a shower. She insisted on arrival, that I had remembered my soap, towel and toothpaste! Though there were those in the bathroom. You must be out of the room by 8am. I didn't sleep at all that night. I got stuck on the hill and had to contact the local authorities to get a tow truck. The owner refused to answer texts or calls.

Was very cozy and ever bed had a very warm heated blanket, we arrived drenched due to the rain and were able to dry out all of our ski gear, Shelley even ran the dryer for us to dry out our outer layers and base layers.
Nothing there to dislike.

Tucked away and secluded it has great access to many of the ski resorts Vermont has to offer at a great price. Very cozy accommodations with a heated blanket included. Being close to downtown Wilmington gives you good access to early morning digs before you hit the slopes. 10/10 would recommend

This is an Airbnb with very strict check in/check out rules. It should not be on booking.com.

Location and price. But still not worth it. If u want to avoid the situation calling booking.com and asking for a refund please go somewhere else. Read review below. (Also check out google map review- recent ones)
I hope my review helps you decide whether or not to stay at this place. I am writing only what happened with elimination of any judgement of a person.
We were on our way from Boston to Montreal and decided to spend the night at Wilmington. There was congestion on the road from Boston and we were expected to arrive 30 min later than the check in time. (Which was 6pm -9pm). We thought it was odd that there is such narrow window but we called the host to let her know we are arriving 30 min late. When I called, there was no introduction of the host, but a simple ‘hello’. I thought it was the wrong number at first. I then told her that we were the guest for tonight and we will be arriving late. She then started half yelling (all of the sudden) saying ‘what does the website say for check in time!?’ I soon realized she was very upset we did not follow the rules of check in check out time. (Btw check out time is from 12 am to 8am next day). I apologized sincerely and told her we will be there by 9:30 pm
We then rushed on the road to get there. Thankfully we got there just before 9pm. But when we got there, no one answered the door bell. The host came out and greeted us about 15min later. As soon as we saw her, we knew there was something off, she had difficulty balancing and could not walk in a straight line, she also seemed like she had trouble speaking and finding the right words. She told us herself that she had 3 concussions with multiple accidents leading to head trauma. We were the only guest of the day. Me and my friend both work in the health professional so we understood. (She told us that there were two other guests that came earlier but left angry). But the things she did afterward becomes a lot more strange.
First of all, she made us stoke the fire for the fire place in the living room. (There were hoards of personal items on the dining table and the living room couch that we felt like we could not stay in the living room).

Property is located at the end of the road, very secluded in the middle of the woods. Our room was extremely nice with a queen size bed with plenty of comfy blankets and pillows. The bathroom was just down the hall with hot showers to be had after a long day of mountain biking on Mt snow. A great value with a friendly and knowledgeable host!!!

Really convenient to town. Price was a good a bargain. Bed was comfortable. Very clean pleasant rooms, facilities and bed linen. Was upgraded from dorm room as larger space was available. Helpful advice from Shelley about surrounding restaurants etc. Was able to park close and see my car from the room.
Although GPS got me to exactly the right place, I got there a bit early and I'd have liked to see an address # on the house - it looked like no one was there - but it did match the photo! I contacted the proprietor online, got a quick answer, and all was fine.

Very nice bright bedroom. Clean bathroom with hot shower. 5 min drive from coffee shops, bakery, restaurants and main street of Wilmington VT. The hostess is friendly and gives useful advice on good places to eat and to visit.
There is no access to the kitchen or the fridge. We knew about it in advance but it was somewhat inconvenient. You are expected to use the shared bathroom that is on your floor.

The place was terrible !
The place not what it says it is.
The place is dangerous, black bears at the house constantly no safety what so ever
Everything about it was terrible. We were forced to drive around for hours to find another place to stay
We found one but it cost me another two hundred and twenty dollars. Our weekend was ruined

Clean, comfortable. Updated. Slept well.
There were no common areas and no food or drink allow in my room. I had to stand next to my bike to eat or drink. The wrap around porch seemed blocked off so I didn’t go there. There is no Wi-Fi as truthfully disclosed but neither is there cell service. That concerned me.

Shelley is a gem for people who care for genuine honesty and authenticity. She has rules to keep boundaries. If you follow her rules, you will have a trouble-free stay at her place, and she will show you her nicest side! And you will want to keep going back to her place. For the price you pay, you get a nice room and bathroom close to many nice mountains and parks. What else would you want for a vacation in nature?!

I enjoyed the location, cleanliness as well the quiet and welcoming
I prefer not to comment, as unlike a short stay or simple overnight, long term brings out the true character of all,

It was cheap, the place was very clean, t the room spacious and the mattress comfortable.
The host was not friendly with me. She made fun of me when I arrived, and I got an insult as a goodbye. She kept repeating « that is why it’s so cheap »: apparently, being welcoming would cost her. I didn’t sleep well because of the noise coming from her kitchen at 6.30am. Also, I wish I had known before booking that we had to bring our own linens (but maybe It is written and I didn’t see). Overall, I didn’t feel good there.

Great midway location for when I travel into Vermont … Great-low price for a good nights rest…
Near good dining in Wilmington and Dover ….
Great comfortable beds…. Just one needs to remember to bring linens or a sleeping bag ….

It was by far the cheapest option to spend a night. There are rudimentary camping sites that charge more, however you get very much what you pay for.
You have to bring your own sheets, towel and soap which is not mentioned when you book it. No food or drink allowed in the room and you dont have access to the kitchen, no control over the heating of your room. You pay for nothing but a roof, access to a toilet and a place to stay, and that is very much what you get.

We didn't end up staying here. I went to Wilmington to Vermont for a craft beer and chili festival. Check in at this place was at 6pm (that was fine) but our event started at 3:45pm so I asked if we could park there at that time. You'd think a place that has "plenty of parking" in it's name wouldn't be an issue right? My email response was "NO" so I tried to call the number to explain my situation. No answer. So I emailed back explaining it and as soon as I said "beer" it went all down hill from there. I was told not "drive there under any influence." I said im trying not to and you not letting us park there early makes that difficult. She then said they have taxis. Yeah that's great but where do we park the car for the night? Anyway I said we'll figure it out. After I said that I was basically being threatned that the cops would be called on us for any "inappropriate behavior" which showing up there after a couple of drinks would have probably been deemed inappropriate behavior. Also i was told the road was private property and if we parked there the car would be towed. Not sure if that's true or not but still the tone was threatening. I understand that she probably doesn't want any issues with drunk people but this event the town itself put on where there wasn't any type of trouble. I'm 32 and have never been arrested. This lady got my money granted it was only $25. I didn't cancel tho because it was non refundable and wanted to leave this review. We ended up staying at the Viking Motel no issues there and friendly staff. The lady behind the desk was actually enthusiastic about us going to that event. I know this review is contradictory to the reviews left but hopefully anyone traveling won't have this nightmare experience.

staff, didn’t introduce herself, wouldn’t answer direct questions, accused me of breaking rules which i hadn’t, played music till 11 o’clock under bedroom

Quiet. Clean. Comfortable.
Driveway. 700’ dirt driveway. Make sure you have good traction. 4WD, snow tires, chains

Very clean super easy check in and out. Beautiful property

Avoid the place if your car doesn't have snow tires. Towing service would take as much as 750 dollars. It might be a value choice if you're sure your car won't stuck in the snow/dirt. And the host won't even help.

Shelly was an amazing host! very comfortable and warm home. much needed after long day on blizzard conditions. Will 100% book again and recommend that anyone who needs a place to crash the night before hitting the mountain should do the same.
no complaints

Shelley was a warm and welcoming, no-nonsense host. The location is great, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. I paid attention to the instructions as I came during a snowy few days and did not have any trouble with the driveway. I brought snow chains to put on my very small front wheel drive car with all-seasons. Overall a great stay and would do so again.

Close to Mount Snow. Puzzles and games for use. Cute mini decorative fireplace heaters.
Host is a stickler for house rules but don't be intimated. She is friendly and has a fun sense of humor.
