A comfortable stay

We had a lovely week, the caravan was very cosy, the bed especially as bigger than normal caravans and comfy sofa. Good Wi-Fi and also Netflix on the TV. Good parking beside the caravan and good instructions on how to get in and local information. Good communication from the owner before and during our stay. Lovely area to stay very pretty with all the lakes and so much to do and see in the area.

I cooked all week and had to use the oven a lot as no large pans or frying pan. Cleaning was OK but felt we left it better than we found it. Lots of little things which the owner is getting a handyman to fix she popped in during our stay, but nothing that spoilt our stay. No recycling on site, obviously not the owners choice.

Very enjoyable, loved being there with family. But wouldn’t go back☹️

We enjoyed the location, and it was a nice little getaway with family. Cozy.

It wasn’t very clean which is a shame. Lots and lots of dust, there were unclean baking trays in oven, with old cooking oil still in there, a lot of the glasses, mugs and dishes were not properly cleaned. Half empty hand wash gel, half used toilet roll. However those last two reasons, we gave the benefit of the doubt, it’s a cost of living crisis and I understand trying to use up all you can, but I’m a b&b I’m not so sure? 🙂

Very relaxing 😌

Very clean, homely feel. On arrival had been left everything we needed for our stay for example tea/coffee cleaning products in the kitchen, towels and beds were made with fresh linen. Very quiet peaceful location. Great facilities fire stick tv, coffee machine. Great communication from the owners. Nice shower with plenty of room throughout the whole property.

Perfect family base, in a perfect location! Shall be back!!

Brilliant location to enable us to visit family nearby and base ourselves for days out. Holiday home was ideal for a family of four including two little ones!

A relaxing place to stay for a complete break.

Perfect location for us. We would have loved to be staying longer as there was so much of the site we didn't get to see.

It was hard to open the bathroom door but that is the only complaint I can think of (and such a minor thing), otherwise it was nice.

The overall campsite was OK, entertainment area great and very modern.

Goose poo every where you walk, wouldn't be happy if I had young kids. Food in entertainment area needs attention, not the best especially the risotto over priced for what seems like a egg cup full.

A couple of minor things such as: the wifi didn’t work, the shower temperature was very hard to adjust, the carpet nails(?) that you’d stand on if you walk to close to the couch and a couple (but too many for me to handle) of spiders

Facilities are expensive and advert is unclear

The caravan is clean and nicely decorated. It has everything you need for a trip away.

I've given a low score as I was disappointed by the fact you had to pay high additional costs to use the facilities listed in the advert and I felt the ad is misleading. The pool, restaurant and bar can only be accessed if you pay an additional £25 per adult per day (£20 per child) in peak times. That would be £90 a day for a family of four which is a lot of money. This wasn't clear enough from the advert which had photos of the facilities at the top and in the description with no reference to additional costs unless you click onto the specific page with the facilities list.I raised this with the hosts who responded to say it is out of their control and have blamed Booking.com for writing the advert. It's a shame because the accommodation itself was good and we stayed bedroom in February when the facilities were closed and enjoyed our stay. The lack of transparency just left us feel a bit let down and we wouldn't stay again.

Was great all three days but disappointing in the end.

Location was good and place was calm and quite little bit of hassle in getting the keys but rest was fine.

Host were really unprofessional, i have been booking from booking.com from past 10 years but its the first time i have seen such unprofessional hosts. They reported misconduct without showing any proof.

It was very nice and cosy.

It was a good location to West Dean college. It was clean and warm, the weather was awful, high winds and rain, but we were cosy and comfortable.

pull out bed sheets need to be cleaned but there where only crumbs on it so could have just been dropped crumbs from the sofa.

Good value for money and approachable hosts.

All the problems were solved quickly by the hosts.

The small size of the single beds: too narrow for adults really Some papers were found under the bed.

The location

Problems with accessing the property wrong pin code given to use the key safe was given another caravan to stay first night in, till the problem was sorted. But on returning the next day, I was able to access the key safe to retrieve the key with a new pin number. The convection oven was not fully working, unable to use the microwave part as it was not working, even after consulting the instruction book. One of the two working toilets was blocked and overflowed with sewerage, but cleared itself after an hour or two. The floors were not very clean, and could of done with a vacuuming.
