Sitio limpio y cómodo

La ubicación es muy buena y la habitación estaba muy limpia. Además cuenta con cafetera y algunos dulces para el desayuno, además de un brick de leche, todo un detalle.

El servicio de parking no estaba incluido. El precio de la noche ya era elevado como para que esto fuera un extra.

Es war ok, jedoch stimmte das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für uns nicht.

Die Lage war ziemlich gut und das Zimmer war sauber. Maria, die Besitzerin schien sehr bemüht, allerdings sprechen wir leider kein Spanisch und sie nur ein bisschen Englisch

Unser Zimmer war sehr klein, ebenso das Bett und alles war schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Dafür war der Preis für uns eindeutig zu hoch.

Sitio muy bonito y muy buen situado para desconcertar

Era un sitio muy bonito y cuidado podíamos ir andando por todo Castro,está al lado de unas piscinas naturales espectaculares Tuvieron un detalle súper bonito porque el cumpleaños de mi pareja y nos dejaron una botella de Mateus fresquita y dos bombones…de agradecer desde luego ;) Son muy hospitalarios

Nice stay in Castro

Location is great, 5min from Ostende beach and the host gave a lot of information. The room is spacious and the bathroom is new. The garden is great. They also provide free coffee, tea and some fruit which is super nice of them.

You can’t really come and go with the car, as the owner has to open/close the gate for you every time. We didn’t mind walking but I imagine some people would like the freedom to freely enter and exit with their car. We had trouble sleeping because someone was smoking weed and the room reeked of it. We guess it was someone from the neighbourhood, not the accommodation, but still we had trouble with it. Some flexibility about check out would be nice.

Disappointing.

Breakfast not included. Clean and nice setting . Quiet. Nice garden. Comfortable communal lounge.

Very small double beds. Bolsters. No pillows.

A delightful place, where the owners go the extra distance to take care of guests.

This was our second stay here, in a lovely house with great space and excellent facilities. We had the same room as before, so it was almost like coming home. our en-suite bathroom had a really good shower and plenty of towels, soaps, etc. As we travelled to Castro one of us had a nasty incident with the bike which meant a visit to hospital and several stitches in the leg. This in turn meant there was a reluctance to cycle for our onward journey. With no train or bus option and an complete dearth of taxis in Castro, we were on the point of “biting the bullet” and mounting the bikes, when the owner offered to drive is on to Santoña! A very welcome offer, which we did accept.

Peaceful, comfortable and very welcoming.

Lovely quiet, peaceful location on the western edge of Castro, just by the bullring. Delightful owners welcomed us with hazelnuts and grapes from the garden, olives and a cold beer. Very comfortable bed in a spacious room with excellent ensuite bathroom. We were given keys to come and go as we pleased, as well as good information about the local area. This included the tip about a natural sea swimming pool which I thoroughly enjoyed using. It's about a half hour walk along the sea front to the main old town where the bar/restaurant options are plentiful. An unexpected bonus was the breakfast offered. Self serve in the huge dining room. Not extensive but a good coffee with cakes and fruit. Highly recommend.

Exceptional

Very nice place some 15 minutes walk from the centre of Castro Urdiales and the harbour. Set in a garden, at the outskirts of the town, with very easy access from the motorway (advantageous for those travelling by car). Formally the place does not serve breakfast but we were surprised (positively!) to learn that we can have free coffee/tee, biscuits and fruits, which are available in the common room. So in fact, it was almost like a proper breakfast. The owner greeted us in the most friendly way. The town itself is very interesting too, with impressive rock coastal scenery, old monumental buildings, picturesque fishing harbour and plenty of restaurants/bar along the waterfront. We are very happy that selected just this place to stay on our way westward.

Pleasant stay but don't rely on the breakfast....

Very pleasant surroundings, Very quiet and a very pleasant host who had absolutely no English, Maria was a plus for this place though!!

The breakfast was terrible, you had to boil your water for tea in a microwave....no Cereals, or fresh milk not even bread Just terrible sweet cakes.
